I will commend their service. Super friendly staff and came back to check in on us. Food over all was ok. Maybe partially because of the disclaimer: "prices listed are CASH only prices". The prices seemed pretty reasonable until you read the disclaimer and then we were kind of in a limbo about how much the food costs if we pay with credit card. We ended up ordering the Dulce de Leche crepe with all the toppings on the side and a 2 coffee's. I don't like overly sweet things so ordering the toppings on the side was a great option. We were served a small bowl of leche creme and another with whipped cream. These bowls were filled to the brim. The coffee was nothing too special... standard diner coffee and free refills. The down side is that one cup of coffee was $5. We thought this was a little pricey for what we were drinking, so we tried getting as many refills as possible. read more

Several people in my family recommend this place. It was so disappointing. I got the red chilaquiles they came with beans and 2 eggs ($1 extra for any plates that have eggs) the chips for the chilaquiles were stale and the beans were burnt! My husband got the loaded steak and eggs and the steak was drenched in soy sauce, only had 2 mushrooms. The food overall is really terrible. If zero stars were a possibility, that's what I would give. I found out about this place through social media and I sent it to our friends and we all met up on a Saturday afternoon. The host quoted our party of 8 30 min and we left our number. After the quoted 30 minutes and no text, we checked to see how much longer and the host told us another 15 minutes.... After 20 minutes we checked again and the host tells us that they don't have our name on the list!! After an awkward few minutes of trying to figure out what to do with the situation, they got us a big booth in the back. Our server greeted us quickly and took our whole order. We ordered a mixture of coffees and shakes and waters for the table. The waters never came and all of our drinks came at different times. And there were no conchas! *side note- they charged us an extra $1 per plate due to the egg situation Our food came out, still no conchas....7 out of 8 plates came out and then they told us that the last plate was sold out and if we could order something else. My husbands biscuits and gravy were cold and dry and looked like it had been under the warmer for a while. He asked for extra gravy to try and salvage it but we never received it. Also, our server tried dropping off wrong plates at our table multiple times... like didn't you take our order?! We saw a different server walking around with plates of conchas so we asked for some and she was surprised we never received any. Everyone else ate and were almost done and our friend still didn't have her food, so we cancelled that. We originally wanted pastries from the bakery but we were already so frustrated with the whole experience. After paying and heading out the door, my husband forgot his glasses and went back and on his way out they handed him a bag of food saying he forgot it but it wasn't ours... why is everyone giving us random food? Down at the Monday night car show at Loaded Cafe' in Placentia. My husband had a Sirloin Torta, I had a burger that had onion rings, bacon and BBQ sauce. Then we split a Nutella banana strawberry crepe! We really love everything, and they make fresh brewed ice tea that tastes so good! This spot was recommended from a family friend and honestly we are so impressed and happy with the outcome!! Service was great, they were so attentive on our needs and requested such great food options for our breakfast. Jose was especially helpful and amazing, treated us like family and ensuring everyone in our group got EXACTLY what they wanted. We didn't receive a certain fish right away and when mentioned they made sure we had it ASAP. Truly can't thank him enough for an amazing experience For the overall environment , it's homey, comfy and comfortable. I heard this place was known for their chilaquiles so I ordered the non-spicy Asada Chilaquiles plus an iced Dulce de leche latte to go. When I got to work it was still warm. The meat was cooked perfectly and the tortillas weren't too soggy from all the sauce from the drive over. Prices are very good, like pre-Covid pricing. They have check in, first time visitor, and reward program deals too. Their daily deals are also very good value and it might be the only place that I've had free Mexican sweet bread served. Also service was also good, and they were attentive and nice. However, their Mexican dishes are leaning towards bland cafeteria food so I would recommend going to old town Placentia for that. Plus their desserts and soups were quite terrible. However, for basic American breakfast and general pancakes this place is good enough.... I just didn't find any standouts that I would crave to come back for more. read more

Not loaded. Portions are pretty small. About half of what you'd get at most places. The menudo is good though, but it's about $16.99 if I remember correctly. The pancakes eggs bacon sausages are about the same as any other diner place including Dennys. read more

Service wasn't great they took very long to come by to the table and ask how everything was I was waiting for creamers for my coffee for a while and it got cold. Our server looked mad or tired. I ordered a basic omellete. Or so I thought. The eggs were runny and rubbery at the same. The pepper jack cheese was thrown on top and not even melted, the spinach was the main ingredient in the omellete. They must have forgot the eggs. Maybe they were trying to re-create green eggs and ham? Anyways, at least the coffee was good. Too bad I was never offered more coffee after waiting 30 minutes for the food. I only write bad reviews.
