The guy who took our order informed us that there was no hashbrown yet i saw other people getting hash browns, he offered some potatoes they were super salty! We attended an event where they gave back to the community. However we were told this event started at 5, we arrived on time but come to find out they made us and two other families with kids wait 1 hour to order our food. They were waiting on the photographer I guess they cared more about the pictures then their customer service. The food was great and our waitress Ashley was very kind, attentive, and helpful. Worst place ever! Not only is it next to a nail salon and people are outside getting their nails/toes done while you're trying to eat but they have the worst customer service ever! Got to Loaded Cafe (wasn't greeted by anyone) sat down because all tables were empty. Waitress walks up to me and my family and tells us in a rudely manner "next time you should wait to be seated because tables aren't sanitized and someone was sitting there before you." At this point I'm confused because aren't all tables supposed to be sanitized after each client? I got up and left and won't be coming back! I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes w/ hash browns on the side and my friend order Nutella and strawberry crepe w/ hash browns on the side as well and an orange juice. The pancakes were nicely cooked and fluffy very very good! The hash browns were well done nice and crispy but not burnt! My friend also enjoyed her crepe. Honestly I thought the pancakes were going to be bleh because that's what they looked like but they were actually very very good!! The breakfast foods here are so good and super filling! A lot of the items come with a side of pancakes. I had the ham and cheese omelette which was humongous, and delicious! I had to take the pancakes to go. Nobody was here when I came, probably 2 other tables. Our waiter was super kind. My review will be based off food and customer service. I am a firm believer in great customer service because your food can be okay but having that great customer service will get me to go back. As well as, if your food is amazing and your customer service is horrible then I will not go back. Details: There were 6 adults and a baby. 5 adults got meals. One adult did not order but only got a coffee. There were a total of 3 coffees, and 4 waters(including the baby water). CUSTOMER SERVICE: The waiter we had was okay, I think he could improve with more practice. At first, when we went to split the checks at the register, our waiter was helping us with that. However, I thought it was weird that the manager was watching him from behind. Now, I could see if she was there to guide him because he may be learning still. But this wasn't that, this was more micromanaging. She then got frustrated with him, tossed him aside and proceeded to check us out. I thought that was very uncalled for since the waiter was doing fine and we wanted to talk to the waiter about an additional coffee that was added to the bill. When we told her about the extra coffee she dismissed it, added it to someone else's bill that wasn't paying attention, and then said that no one paid for their coffees. Which wasn't true because my mom had paid for her coffee. My cousin ended up paying for 3 out of the "4" coffees. So we had paid for the extra coffee without realizing it. When my mom found out she went back to get a refund and calmly explained to the manager and the waiter what had happened and that it was wrong. FOOD: I had the barbecue bacon burger. It was amazing! The burger itself was big! They gave the perfect amount of fries with it and it was only $9.99 for such a good plate. Other members of my family got omelettes, chorizo, pancakes, and waffles. I didn't have any of theirs so I will critique that food. Since I place more value on the customer service than the food. I give them two stars. It would have been one if the food wasn't good. We use to come to this place all the time, the service was pretty good. After COVID hit they started slowing down and the food got bad. We tried coming here twice after they opened up again for dine in, and each time it was worse. We came here today the service was okay, they always take long here, the food was fine. But I got a sprite dropped on me, by accident I understand. But instead of discounting my meal or at least the soda, they did nothing. I had to talk to the manager in charge about it. I asked her if i was getting any discount on the drink that was spilled all over my pants and she said, with attitude, "Did SHE drop it? IF it was her fault we'll discount the drink." Insinuating I dropped a whole drink on myself. As if I decided to get my pants wet just to get a $3 discount? And once she talked to the waitress she said "she'll discount it for you". That was the worst breakfast experience I've had in a very long time. And what's worse is that I've been here like 4 times and they were pretty good before. Today the service was slow (waited at least 30 min for food to come out for 4 people). The waiter, Humberto, never checked on us during that waiting period. The Hashbrowns were greasy, overcooked, and had no flavor. But I was told the crepes were good by someone in my table who ordered them. After all that, their system went down and they couldn't give us an actual receipt of the food . We were given a small piece of notebook paper with our order and the prices written on it (And I couldn't even keep the notebook paper receipt). After reviewing the scratch paper I noticed Humberto overcharged us. (He charged one plate as a combo when it was just an a la carte item). No apology from anyone that worked there, not even a have a nice day. I'm really disappointed in this place and won't be coming back. There are too many good breakfast places in Orange County and Santa Ana. You shouldn't be spending your hard earned money at somewhere like loaded cafe. TLDR... go to Suzys cafe, Pops cafe, Red Hill cafe, or Cowgirl Cafe instead. they have better food and service and won't try and rip you off. read more

Today I decided to get loaded Café for Saturday morning breakfast. This was my first time acquiring food from this establishment. So I decided to call in and make an order for to go. On the phone I was greeted very professionally and very kindly. I believe her name was Valerie who helped me pick out my order. She was very helpful and answered any questions I had and also informing me of the menu. I ordered a Nutella strawberry cream crêpe with a side of eggs and a side of hashbrowns. They gave me an estimate time pick up of 20 to 25 minutes and surprisingly it was less. I came to pick up my order and when I came home everything was still hot and fresh. After 30 minutes of waiting they call my name and then they tell me they can't sit me at my table because they won't be able to take my order for another 20 minutes so they just make me stand by the register. There was about 4 open tables where I could be sitting looking at the menu and maybe having a refreshing drink on this hot day. They decided not to sit me so I walked out. All the employees greeted us with a friendly smile. Our waitress Lulu was fantastic! She was super friendly and very attentive. Our drinks were never empty. Our food came out in less than 10min. Upon entering, the layout of the restaurant has a natural flow, first being greeted by the team of servers on your left and until I was sat at my table by the gracious hostess to the right. I didn't wait any longer than 3 minutes and I had just left church starving which concerned me because I have been excited to try this place. I had Antonio as my server who had great attention to detail to ensure my experience there was a pleasant one. I was so focused on trying the food that he offered to bring the first part of my meal and than the main, which was pancakes and chicken fried steak but I just wanted to grub lol. When it came out, I told myself I should've listened to him because I wasn't sure what to eat first so nothing got cold. Well, I just ended up stuffing it all in my mouth haha. Also, the menu has clear images of EVERY meal with concise definitions of each entree. I went from left to right and right to left not skipping one item with a breeze. Kudos to whomever made the menu. I was surprised that they serve more than breakfast as well. Overall, I'd like to go back and try the other items too. It was reasonably priced and my brunch was very tasty. Most importantly, when I left, the hostess remembered my name and that was something different. I've been a frequent customer since I found this place. Have to say that the cooks do an awesome job. I've never had a meal that I didn't like. Food is hot and tasty. Service is always spot on and waitresses are super awesome. I went last night craving an omelet and was so sad to see they've been replaced by stackers, which are scrambled eggs with your toppings stacked on top of the scrambled eggs. Yes it's similar but not the same. I like that they have a new menu but wish they would have kept the omelets. There's something about having all your goodies inside and rolled up in an omelet.
