I have ordered them at least ten times so far and each time they are exactly the same awesome quality and plump sweet deliciousness! Also, the sweetest Steamed lobsters I have had in and around Cape Cod. It is a casual environment with large booths inside and picnic tables outside. Not the best curb appeal -looks like a tourist trap but it's totally worth stopping if on Route 6 in Wareham. I'm heading there again today and can't wait! read more

Over the weekend called here to get the price of Lobsters (market side not restaurant) We we're told $9.99 lb. At that point we ordered 34 STEAMED lobsters to be picked up. We sent husbands to go pick up they gave them their credit card and returned with the lobsters. We looked at the receipts after they came back and realized they must have made a mistake so instead of $15 a lobster (1 1/2 lb) they were $25. We called and to inquire we're told there was a $10 charge per lobster to steam them which was a total of $340. We spoke to the owner and discussed the fact that we were never made aware of these charges and he proceeded to lie and say they don't give prices over the phone. We told him his employee did and took our order. The price is what determined we were going there instead of Market Basket up the road. He was in no way apologetic he honestly didn't care that he took advantage which is the hardest part of this whole situation. He continued to lie and say that's why they don't take orders over the phone. Clearly he can't trust his employees to give the correct info. I'm sure because he is in a tourist area he could care less about customer service because so many people stop their once. Hey I get it we all have bills to pay but this is not how you should run a business. I and a few others will not support his business. read more

So I love Lobster Pot BUT I'm still only giving it a 3-star review because, honestly, that's all it deserves. You can tell it's an establishment that was once a glorified seafood eatery that both locals and tourists enjoyed. The faded awards on the wall, all are from prior to 2010. The "best clam chowder" is watery at best with chunks of potato and a few clams. The steamers that I love have slowly over time become more gritty and sandy, despite thoroughly dunking it in the cleaning broth. The service can be slow but most likely a result of the lines that form during the summer months. So why do I still go here? Because there are few places that I can go and get a fisherman's platter with lobster, steamers, and corn on the cob in one meal for under $35. Also, if the mood strikes I can get a 5lb lobster. What this place lacks in quality, it certainly doesn't lack in quantity. There is something on their menu that everyone will love. I'm not huge on fried seafood, but I've had the scallops and clams and both were solid. Not a Cape Cod staple like it once was, but still worth stopping by if you've got a craving. read more

I have eaten here frequently and it's good. It's an "in the rough" style restaurant, no table wait service. As someone who lives in the general area I never buy lobsters or steamers as I prefer to get them myself can cook them. Other than that this is a very good and authentic New England seafood restaurant. read more

I have always had good food here. Its fried seafood, that's what's advertised and that's what you get. I have eaten fried seafood all over New England over the years and to me this is as good as it gets. Today I had a calamari platter, a generous portion of both fries and calamari, not sure why there are negative posts about the portions. It could be considered pricey I guess but to be honest this kind of food in NE always is. The restaurant has always been clean with plenty of room to sit, lots of parking even during tourist months. I read the reviews and decided to try it for myself. The reviews are correct. Good but not great. The crab roll was Good and packed with crab, the Lobster roll it was missing something the Lobster just wasn't what I was expecting. The clam chowder, don't do it. The clam chowder was definitely watered down. Do your self a favor order something small to taste and go from there. I just don't think it was worth the $56. price for two. This place has gone sooo downhill. Prices have increased and portions have decreased. They refuse to make substitutions or even small accommodations. For example, I asked for the fries to be packed separately in the fisherman's platter I ordered and they refused. I support this business year round and my last few experiences haven't been great. Overall, I don't think I'd come back. Let me explain. Update: I won't be going back, because the food did not sit well AT ALL. I got a cheeseburger, and this has to be the first time in my life I've gotten a burger with absolutely nothing... at all. No condiments, the cheese was thrown on at the very end, and was clearly made next to a grilled cheese. I could have wrung out the bottom bun. No fries... nothing at all. The family got fish, and the portions are so tiny for the price. Three people, almost $50, and small amounts of food. Just a tourist, so I may not know enough about what to expect from a roadside stop. The service was good but the food was overpriced and honestly just awful. The lobster roll was in a small styrofoam flip box and the coleslaw in small container. Yes, a pandemic, but there must be more eco-friendly container options. The roll had way too much mayonnaise for me, I picked through the little lobster that what was there leaving behind a soaked bun and the coleslaw wasn't great, soggy and inedible. The sweet tea, must be from a mix as it had an odd aftertaste or was old. I do expect that if I would have complained, a refund would have been received but I didn't feel right about doing so when Covid has made life for everyone so difficult. What a find! My family and I got dinner there last night and it was so delicious. We got the twin lobsters, clam chowder and clam strip dinners. The three of us split the clam strip dinner as an appetizer. The lobsters were hot and fresh. Great sizes for a twin deal. The clam chowder was so yummy. We did pick and it was ready pretty quickly. Usually a good stop. Today not so much. I ordered fries, a lobster roll, and a frappe. My boyfriend got fish and chips and a frappe. Neither of our fries were salted when hot. The salt doesn't stick after they cool. My lobster roll, while over flowing, had soft meat. I'm not complaining about that maybe it's the time of year that made the meat soft. I love lobster and it would take a lot for me to complain about it. It's the rest of the visit that has caused me to decide never to go back. The frappe was a milkshake not a frappe. Frappes are thick. We are in New England get with it. Don't call it a frappe when it's a milkshake. When our number was called and we walked up to the counter to get the food and there were no frappes accompanying the food. I had to ask twice- the first time the person didn't understand my question as to where our drinks were she just smiled and nodded like that would make me walk away. The second time she looked around and figured it out. The waitstaff is clearly not in tune with the diners, and there seems to be a bit of a language barrier now, that wasn't an issue before. I won't be back I can make food at home for the 52.00 and change I dropped there and have it the way it should be. Good practice would be to speak to all the patrons. We watched other patrons get visited by management and I believe we were overlooked on purpose. The management visited a booth full of men who might have been animal control personnel from another town and the other management personnel seemed to hover behind the counter areas. One of the best restaurants around for fresh seafood. The owners only sell top quality fish, scallops, clams, etc. Every time we've gone there, the food and service has been 5 stars. As a local I go here very often to get there fried lobster (Lazyman) dinner. Today, I was there and was appalled when I looked to see only 4 pisces of semi-fried lobster. I couldn't believe it so I went back in and was told this is the normal amount we give for this dinner two claws and one tail. Mind you the lobster wasn't even battered looked like they pulled it out of a frozen can and threw it in oil. The manager took my food and didn't even try to ask if I would like something else on the menu. He just gave me a receipt stating my order was voided. We visited on a Saturday night and it was surprisingly not that busy. Lobster rolls were very tasty with plenty of big chunks of meat. French fries are the salty stringy kind that pair well with the cool crisp cole slaw. The clam chowder was also very fresh and tasty. For the prices I would expect larger portions but I also understand market prices vary so it's hard to rate off that. For a family of 2 adults and 3 big kids plus a toddler our check was average at about ~100 with drinks which come with free refills. Was there over the summer. Even though it was the night before Phantom gourmet was to be there ( you would think chaos ) they had it all together. Very disappointed. I ordered the seafood platter. The price was 29.95 . I don't mind paying for quality. The portions were lacking. The clam strips tasted like fried rubber bands, the 3 scallops reminded me of a frozen fish entree from Gorton's of Gloucester. The tiny portion of shrimp tasted like it was fried in yesterday's grease. The fish portion was ok but very small, probably about 2 ounces. The fries and cole slaw were passible but not plentiful. The 2 stars were given because the food was hot and available during the pandemic. There are other fish restaurants less than a stone's throw away. I've only come here a few times in the past few years, but I've never been disappointed. The food is fresh, the service is wonderful! I had dinner here last night with a girlfriend and the experience was great. We showed up about 20 minutes before close and were greeted as if we were the first customers of the day. The girl at the register was so pleasant and assured us that it was no trouble than we showed up at the time we did. We ordered a dozen oysters, steamers, clam strips, and fish & chips. Everything tasted delicious, as if it were July on Cape Cod. We also ordered a bottle of wine, which a nice man was nice enough to let us sample first.
