My friends had Sandwiches that were on a loaf of bread . They said they were good. I had a salad with grilled chicken which was decent. Craft beers were very expensive. The problem that I really had with the place was the guy that was running the place. He acted like he was doing you a favor by waiting on you. Also any variation to what you ordered was an up charge. Now I can understand this but I bet if you asked for salt they would charge you for that. Been wanting to stop in and try this place for awhile and I wish I hadn't, the service was pleasant and the view was great but that was about it. I had the protein burger and fries and when I say it tasted like old grease that's an understatement. The egg was like rubber and there was one strip of bacon on the burger. Also the burger wasn't fresh, it was from frozen and had a nasty aftertaste for $18 bucks. The fries were frozen not fresh and dripping in oil with a nasty bitter aftertaste as well. My wife had the breakfast which was almost $19 on a paper plate with plastic utensils and was not even edible. Also why do you not have fresh syrup at that price? Again the eggs were overcooked and the waffles were burnt and very heavy and starchy. The home fries were again from frozen and dripping in oil. It's a shame that this place is charging this much for what they are serving, I could honestly get a better meal at McDonalds for less money. Waited 15 minutes in line for the owner to tell us he was too busy to put a pie in the oven...he was just selling slices like a NYC pie guy. The restaurant didn't even appear to be at 50% capacity. We went home since our family is local and ordered via DoorDash instead and guess what...the owner was able to fire up the pizza oven. We have family that lives a mile down the road and we visit frequently and used to love to get their sandwiches and breakfast burritos. Truly disappointed after this last visit and will stop giving our local business to this guy...the fried pickles we ordered on top of the pizza via DoorDash were terrible. If you can't fire up a pie after someone has been waiting in line for 15 minutes then take pizza off your menu or notify your customers ahead of time that you're a slice only business...Sort of funny since you don't offer slice only orders on your website, just pies. Never, ever go! Don't be fooled by the location or the look of the place -- it's a total disappointment. Discrimination, overcharging, and manipulation! We were overcharged for our meal, and when we politely questioned the bill, the manager refused to listen and said, "I never make mistakes, the machine does." Then he threatened us by saying he would call the police, and we said we are right and we are ok we that-- and he actually did. The officer agreed we had a valid point, but still told us to leave because it was "private property." To make it even worse, another table overheard the situation and said the same thing happened to them -- they were also overcharged and even spoke to the police about it. I had a very upsetting experience at this place. While we were sitting and chatting with friends, we were suddenly overcharged. When we politely questioned the extra fees, the staff became aggressive, threatened to call the police, and told us to leave. Eventually, they kicked out one of our friends for no valid reason. The manager claimed they did nothing wrong and refused to take any responsibility. When the police arrived, they actually agreed that we were in the right, but said they had no choice but to ask us to leave because it was private property. This place clearly disrespects its customers, especially foreigners. We felt unwelcome, and we are not the only ones. I saw others have had similar experiences. Their prices are already unreasonably high, and combined with this disrespectful treatment, I strongly recommend avoiding this place. read more

I got a chance to go out to Onset Beach to a Cape Verdean festival that was in the area. After I left the festival, I walked across the street from the park to the Onset Beach Patio and Grill restaurant. I ordered a lobster roll, which came with fries or onion rings, and coleslaw. I asked the guy taking my order at the counter about the onion rings or if I should just get the fries. He told me that they make their own onion rings in house. One thing about me, is that I love, love, love, some good onion rings. The food came out quickly while I was sitting out on the patio, watching all the activity and the tour boats filling up with people. As soon as I got my food, the first thing that I did was try the onion rings because honestly I expected to be disappointed. I must admit that I was wonderfully surprised with your onion rings. I will go so far to say that these are the best onion rings I have ever had in a very long time. So that would be at least 15 years or more. I am guessing that most restaurants find it easier to order onion rings from their supplier versus making them in-house. But that was not the case here. The lobster roll was very good. I got it warm with drawn butter. The taste was very comparable and delicious to other lobster rolls that I have had in the New England area. I love the consistency, so nothing negative to say about that. The only thing about the lobster roll is it seemed to have a little bit less meat on it than what Ive had at other restaurants that I have been to across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Maine. But still very good. The coleslaw was good. I tasted it and had a few bites even though I do not really like coleslaw. But it was very tasty. The bathrooms were very clean, but the only thing that I noticed was that the air dryer for your hands did not seem to work when I put them underneath it. It could've been user error but I'm not sure. I will definitely be back!!! read more

Everything was very good, with one exception. The onion rings were not crispy. My only other complaint is that you have to pay using a computer screen to pay by credit card. There was no time to calculate the tip by hand, so I picked 20% on the screen. We went to the restaurant for the first time on opening day for the season. We met the owner Frank and talked with him quite a bit. He is a very nice guy and seems to really care about his staff and the quality of his food. First let me talk about the food. This is not your average beachside grille. Sure they have burgers pizza and chicken fingers but they have so much more. Seafood, wraps, burritos, sandwiches, it goes on and on! You will definitely not be short of choices. But don't expect a bunch of frozen items tossed in fryer. Frank has been a chef and owner at half a dozen restaurants and he is making from scratch food. Fish and chips? They bread the fish the fresh fish and put it in the fryer. You are going to wait a bit longer for your meal here because fresh takes time, and you are going to pay more than you do at the average beachside grille. But you are getting legit chef made food that is fresh, delicious, and unique. The restaurant has 8 or so tables inside and a bunch outside on the deck. Frank owns the building and the beach in front of it so take your meal to go and sit on the beach. This place is a hidden gem that they should be writing reviews from Boston magazines at. Some of the bad reviews I see are people who expect their sandwich in 10 minutes even though they are told things take longer. If you come with the right expectations you will be blown away by the food here. Yes it will cost more but you aren't getting frozen fish fillets and chicken fingers. You are getting fresh food prepared to order. If you don't want to wait call ahead and have it waiting for you and you can dig right in when you get there. We will be back! read more

People with celiac disease beware!!! They advertise gluten-free pizza options but they are not gluten free by any means. I saw they had a meat lovers Pizza so I figured im safe with the hamburger considering it's one of the gluten-free options on their menu. I ordered a gluten-free pizza with bacon and hamburger. When the pizza arrived I realized that there was some sort of bread crumbs mixed in with the hamburger so I asked if it had gluten-free bread crumbs and I was told no. I was then offered a salad and I declined and asked for a bacon and cheese gluten-free pizza I was then told I would be charged for it and this is all home made food not frozen... LOL LOL I let him know he has false advertisement and I wouldn't have ordered the hamburger if it wasn't already on the menu as he gluten-free pizza. He refused to make the pizza but gave me my money back and treated me like it was my fault What sense does that even make... zero! Only reason I came to this place was because I typed in gluten free pizza. Ps prices are pretty expensive for under mediocre food. Dont waste your time if you are celiac. Ate here for the first time today - it's right on the water with a great view. The owner Frank was there really friendly. The food was excellent. Had a egg, spinach and cheese burrito which was delicious. The weather was chilly so no one was sitting outside on the deck, but it had a great view of the water. We will definitely be back.
