Food is average, although I admittedly have not eaten locally to size up competitors. We had a double birthday party here for my son and daughter. Everything was great! Courtney the manager was great to work with and made sure every was perfect. She always responded to my emails and phone calls in a timely manner and had a plan B incase it rained. Kaylee and Angela was our waitresses for the party. They did a wonderful job as well. I usually go for their Local Burger + fries and have never been disappointed. The beef patties are of great quality and always well-seasoned. Unlike what other reviews have pointed out, I've never had a bad experience with their fries. I especially love the large variety of sauces offered. Pro-tip, don't waste your included free dip on ketchup because you can always ask your server for that at any point during the night. I suggest ordering the atomic burger (bacon, jalapeño, yummm) and cinnamon sweet potato fries. My favorite two sauces include sriracha dipping sauce and maple dipping sauce. Really nice spot in an increasingly food-diverse part of Bay Shore. The interior is small but feels open, and their outdoor seating is okay, with a view of the road and ceiling fans to keep the comfort. Service was excellent from the time we entered to paying our bill, and we were shown a seat in less than two minutes. The menu is simple and a good size for the place, and the prices were very fair considering the portions and quality of the food. I recommend the Return of the Mac Burger and side of the Cajun Fries. The burger had a healthy portion of Mac n Cheese, and the fries had a really nice kick without being overbearing. They have a lot of dipping sauce options, I did the chipotle ranch because once I see chipotle anything I have to get it. Our waitress was efficient and knowledgeable, and our wait for the food was around 8 minutes. The best part of the experience was at the end when I was able to pay with Pay right at table. Every single restaurant in the world should be doing this! The waitress had an iPad ready, and I put my iPhone (I assume Google Pay & Samsung Pay would work as well) right up to the back of it, paid and tipped in under 3 seconds! We were seated in the back, right below the open wall that leads to the kitchen. The restaurant has the option of takeout as well. The hostess seated us immediately. After 5 minutes, the waitress greet us at the table. We scoured the menu, and then decided to try two local burgers with the special local sauce and an order of french fries with garlic aioli. Two mason glass jars were brought to the table with lemonade. I liked the fact that the lemonade itself was more tart and lemony than sugary sweet. It was very refreshing. The burgers arrived to the table in compost, material trays. I liked the particular aspect about the burger itself; comes with a seared stamp of the establishment's zipcode on the bun. So my wife was looking online for a place that we can eat with our Puppy and came across this wonderful place. Rachel (our waitress) was completely amazing! She attended to our every need. There was a party here that made our wait for food and drinks a little longer but I'm glad we stayed! they even brought out a water bowl for our (large) puppy. This goes out to the Patchogue location bc it's not on yelp yet... Thumbs freakin down!! So so disappointing.. the only thing they got going is the same industrial layout of bobbyques next door. They must borrow the same trays too. I know I may get chastised for this but I did order a chicken sandwich at a burger joint but still it should be good. The chicken was a nice portion but it was way way to done, they must have not changed the oil bc it was rather dark. The bun it sat on was their signature labeled bun with two slices of pickles and some strands of lettuce. It was quickly wiped with a tiny bit of mayonnaise. I also had a side of brisket. This was the worst brisket ever... so dry that I almost choked. Could not eat more than two bites!I think my 2 year old daughter can make a better sandwich. Here's a suggestion, put some some flare on it, take pride in serving a chicken sandwich maybe with a different bun. The macaroni and cheese that our child had was very very dry and had no taste. Service, no where to be found. I had to wave my server over several times. Btw, she never ask why I only took one bite of my sandwich. I asked my waiter if the owner was expediting all the food, she told me the owner doesn't work on sundays...YOU JUST OPENNED, WORK ON A SUNDAY!!!! This is my second time here but first time sitting in for our meal. Our waitress , wish we knew her name, wore glasses and hair in a ponytail. She was so great! Was very friendly and attentive to us the entire time we were there. We had the best quinoa burgers ever! They had Swiss cheese and onion, lettuce, tomato and some really good sauce! The double quinoa patty was massive, we added mushrooms and jalapeños and omg mouth watering. We also had the best salt and vinegar fries ever. We will definitely be back again very soon! Local Burger has been in Bay Shore for a few years already and for one reason or another, this was my FIRST local experience! I heard comparisons to Shake Shack, or other burger joints so I guess I just dismissed it as "standard". However, this place is far from that. We are currently digging out from our most recent blizzard and nothing spoke louder to us than burgers and fries after battling the icy tundra! In addition to my first time having Local, it was also my first time using UberEats. Both were great! Here's the breakdown: Food: I got the hangover burger (double patty)- delicious! I imagine even better if I had eaten there. The fried egg could have been runnier- I assume the overlooked egg was due to the delivery. My fiancé and mom both got the regular local burgers (double patties). They were very happy with their orders and look forward to trying different variations in the future! Oh and, extra pickles! We ordered three orders of sweet potato fries with three different dipping sauces- when our order arrived we got two sweet and one hand cut- mistake on their part but it turned out to be a good one... We actually really enjoyed the hand cut too! Added bonus- they don't skimp out in fries! Mmm We are definitely excited to continue exploring the rest of the local menu, in addition to actually going to the restaurant and sitting for a meal! We were all pretty excited as it was our first time here and we're expecting the second Local location in our hometown of Patchogue soon. The mac & cheese itself was bland and I wish I had gotten something different. My mom ordered the regular burger with cheddar and was slightly disappointed to find that they don't cook burgers to order necessarily, only medium and medium well (she's a rare kind of person). Regardless, she had raved about the burger. The sides are a-la-cart, so we ordered the 4am fries to share with the table (fries with cheese and gravy). These stood no chance and there was no food left on the table when we got the check. My sister and I ordered a cocktail, I think it was the Local Palmer. Fresh brewed tea, lemonade, and vodka. Super simple and refreshing and will run you $9. All of their cocktails were around $10. We sat outside in their nice patio area, but there are plenty of tables inside as well. I've been a hear a couple or three times. I've yet to be blown away by anything they have on offer. On this last outing i went all in and trusted them with their PB&B burger. What could go wrong, I love burgers, love peanut butter and love cheddar cheese. Talk about three great tastes. In the end it just didn't delver for me. I like my cheddar cheese much sharper than was offered on this burger. The flavor of this particular cheese is just underwhelming so much so as to not get noticed. The peanut butter, I'm a fan of either Skippy smooth or the exact opposite Super Chunk stuff This was neither. It reminded me of an organic peanut butter (good for the GMO avoiding crowd) but this particular butter was too gritty for me. When mated to the hot/warm burger separation is inevitable and your tongue is very aware that the oil and peanut spread have divorced for good. Now I've seen good bacon save many floundering sandwiches. And if ever there was a burger in need of rescue it was this one for me. But here too the bacon was nothing special, no hint of pepper, or bourbon glaze that made it stand out and elevate my drippy, un-cheesy journey. I was just another texture covered in peanut oil that bewildered the taste buds. Now less you think it's all bad, if you put together your own burger with stuff you like, you're gonna get a good burger. That is unless you preference in cheddar runs the XXSharp like mine does. My wife enjoyed her plain burger (ketchup and bread only) and I've had straight up, bacon American cheese burgers that are fine. I've heard about this place many times since they opened and finally got to try it. Why did I wait so long?? It's an amazing burger place and the price point cannot be beat. Burgers in the $6-8 range and fries in the $3-4 range. You're paying less than Shake Shack prices for far superior food. I got the Atomic burger. I was really impressed by the patty. It was a very large serving of beef for the $6.99 price tag. And the taste was pure quality. It was so much more "beefy" than other burgers I've had. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned well. Based on the description, I was expecting sautéed or caramelized onions as well as cooked jalapeños. It was a little disappointing when I realized it was rings or raw onions and raw slices of jalapeño. They later offered me a little side of sautéed onions which made the burger much better. Next time, I'll probably try the PB&B burger or the Hangover burger. I just wasn't too excited by the raw toppings. You can always make your own burger. We also tried two of their fry options. We started with the sweet potato fries, which came tossed in cinnamon sugar. I thought that was a weird choice, but figured we'd try it anyway. Surprisingly, it worked really well. It brought out the sweetness of the sweet potato. We also tried the truffle fries which were fantastic. We chose horseradish mayo and garlic aioli as our dipping sauces and they were great too. I can't believe I waited so long to try this place. These burgers are worth $14-18 in Manhattan and they'd still do really well. It's definitely a hidden gem in Bay Shore. I had the bleu ribbon burger and it was juicy with a good meat to bun to cheese to onions to bacon ratio. The fat content of the meat was also spot on. More fat does not always mean more flavor like many people like to say. The salt and vinegar fries were also very good. I would ask for mine to be tossed with a bit more vinegar next time but that's just to my specific taste. I can't say anything bad about this place. I will be back.
