Spinach and peppers omelette with potatoes and bacon

First time eating at Local Jones and the food was amazing! The service and atmosphere were also outstanding! I had a well done omelette with spinach and peppers...it was prepared exactly as I requested! The potatoes were absolutely delicious! Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside! This place is a must try!

Great food and AMAZING service! Steve made this experience one of my all time favorites. He was so personable and knowledgeable.

We had late reservations so a part of this relatively mediocre experience could be attributed to that. The food is good, not necessarily great--decent portions, above average taste. The lamb shanks, kale salad, and burger were good (except for the cool fries). The server was nice, but seemed annoyed by questions, possibly because we asked quite a few and it was late. So if the food was good, the service was good, and the ambiance was good, why 3 stars??? Because at the prices for the meal, the food should have been awesome and the service friendly and helpful. If you're staying at the Halycon and want a decent meal at a heavy price, it's a good enough spot. But just that.

Been here twice for brunch with the girls, and both times were amazing! I've tried the Croque Madame and the Short Rib Hash. Both were packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. The crispy, potatoey potatoes deserve their own shoutout. I love that they have a live DJ on Sundays, it's such a vibe! The space is beautifully decorated and perfect for bigger groups or celebrations. The bathroom is located on the lower floor (just a heads-up). Plenty of street parking nearby, both free and paid. Service was lovely. It was super friendly and attentive from start to finish. Definitely one of my favorite brunch spots in town!

Visiting Denver from the Bay Area, I wasn't sure what to expect from Local Jones in Cherry Creek besides pricey upscale food, but my partner and I ended up having a great experience. We stopped in around 6PM for a quick bite before a movie, and even though the dining room was quiet, the two servers on the floor were kind, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. We let them know right away that we were on a time crunch, and they didn't miss a beat--drinks, food, and check all came smoothly without ever feeling rushed. We decided to keep it light and share two dishes: the hamachi crudo and the Sunday special French dip. The hamachi crudo was exactly what I expected--small but fresh, with bright citrusy notes that made for a refreshing start. The French dip, on the other hand, surprised me. I've never had one before, but this was rich, meaty, and moist, with soft bread that held everything together perfectly. The kitchen even split the sandwich for us on separate plates, each with a generous portion of fries--a thoughtful touch that didn't go unnoticed. We were in and out in under an hour. Yes, it's a bit on the pricey side, but that's to be expected from the Cherry Creek dining experience, and honestly, the attentive service and upscale atmosphere made it feel worth it. For a spontaneous stop, this ended up being one of the highlights of our evening. I'd absolutely come back the next time I'm in town.

Came in, dined alone at the bar indoors & the bartenders/servers were super accommodating and friendly to all guests at the bar. (: Helped me choose between things I was considering for food and constantly refilled my glass. It has a chill, chic vibe; contemporary design, dark lighting. Salmon: 4.5/5, the salmon fillet tasted fresh and wasn't too salty which I usually have an issue with. It was complemented with blended couscous, apples, mangos and bacon. The bacon was a little too much for me, but it was all good and had a nice texture, taste and contrast. (I think it came within 10-15 mins but I wasn't keeping track) Cheesecake: 3/5, I was pretty full after the salmon but wanted some dessert so I got their cheesecake to go. It's too sweet for my liking, the hazelnut bites are great but it overall was too much for me. Arrived within 2-5 mins of ordering.

What a wonderful date night! The food was excellent. I haven't had an entree that perfect in quite some time. We got reservations for Valentine's Day and ordered off the pre fixe menu. The price was a bit high, but the quality of the meal was spot on. I had the seared scallops with celery root puree, pomegranate seeds, cous cous, and toasted hazelnuts. Divine. My husband had the filet mignon with Bearnaise sauce, and roasted potatoes and asparagus. Also amazing. Both dishes per cooked to perfection. All employees were professional and our server was friendly. The atmosphere was lovely--clean, warm, inviting. It was an interesting journey to find the bathroom. It's shared with other parts of the building and was the only thing that needed attending. Four stars for the messy bathrooms, price being quite high, and it was a 2 hour and 45 min dinner. Took forever. I've never had so many glasses of water in my life in such a short period of time. If you can afford it, I would certainly say the food was almost worth it--desserts were just okay, and one of the appetizers was alright.

Best Caesar Salad IMHO almost ever! (And ever is a strong word). Here is my story! Looking for a place to eat before our concert we end up at Local Jones. Local Jones is located in the Halcyon Hotel in Cherry Creek. What a great choice. (Caesar Salad) We ordered a few dishes (Caesar Salad) which were all very tasty and served to perfection. The LJ Burger was great! My travel partner and I shared each dish and turns out to be a smart idea as portions were huge They dinner and breakfast menu is extensive and looked enticing and that said, you know I will go back.... We sat at the bar and our bartender/server was just the best. The bar area is partially opened to the outside / streetside... They do have a dining area inside which ( cannot comment on as I didn't dine in the dining room) Hah Hou

I got the tuna melt and it was pretty standard, but delicious regardless. The star of the show, however, had to be the appetizers. We got the wings of two flavors that the waitress recommended. I don't remember the names, but one of them had a mustard taste to it and I really enjoyed it. My boyfriend and I are obsessed with the pretzels. The rotisserie chicken was delicious and a great portion size definitely enough to fill me up. The apricot glaze was a really nice addition, and overall the chicken was top-notch. It comes with the warm kale panzanella. The kale itself was solid, but I wasn't particularly blown away by the croutons/panzanella portion of the dish. Still, the chicken more than made up for it. The French dip, though, was INCREDIBLE. Hillstone absolutely knocked this one out of the park. The beef was fantastic, and the whole sandwich just worked. I would highly recommend this to anyone coming here, definitely one of the standout dishes we've had. We substituted the French dip's usual side for the creamed corn, which was classic, comforting, and very yummy. A great side choice. And, as always, the cocktails were stellar. While the host was friendly and the waitstaff was helpful, several aspects of our meal were disappointing given the strict dining guidelines and supposedly high-endish experience claimed by this restaurant. Our experience with the food was inconsistent: - Appetizers: Since the grilled artichokes were unavailable, we ordered the artichoke and spinach dip. While the dip was flavorful, the tortilla chips were a letdown; we felt toast points or focaccia would have been a better accompaniment. - Entrees: The California burger and French Dip were good, though grilling the roll for the French Dip would have improved the texture. The Emerald Kale Chicken Salad was only average, as the chicken was quite fatty. - Sushi: The Coconut Shrimp Roll was the most significant disappointment. It lacked flavor and left an unpleasant taste that even wasabi could not mask, resulting in most of it going to waste. - Sides: The french fries were excellent and the highlight of our meal. Crunchy and perfectly salted. Overall, considering the expectations set by the dining policies, the experience was underwhelming and we do not plan to return.

I spent over $50 on a to go order and it came with no napkins, no salad dressing, and no utensils. The dismissive attitude was honestly worse than the missing items. Then I got back to my hotel and realized Sherry had handed me someone else's order. So after all of that, I didn't even have my own food. I ended up giving the meal to a homeless person and drove to Taco Bell instead. If your restaurant doesn't provide basic utensils or napkins with a takeout order, why are you even offering takeout? Even fast food restaurants understand that people ordering food to go might actually need a fork to eat it. This wasn't just about a missing fork. It was the complete lack of attention to detail, basic customer service, and then being handed the wrong order on top of it. For over $50, this was an unbelievably bad takeout experience. Save yourself the frustration and order somewhere else.
