Very laid back atmosphere. I ordered the Veggie Panini which was good. What made the sandwich was their homemade tomato jam. My side order was Pimento Cheese Grits. I didn't taste any cheese and it was quite bland. My husband ordered the daily special-Salmon sandwich. The salmon didn't have any flavor and the bun was soggy. Located in downtown Lawrenceville, this restaurant hits the spot if you're in the mood for a good sammy. Lots of free parking in the area, but it can get busy! On Saturday night they were fairly packed, but had some immediate space outside and at the bar. It was slightly chilly out so my friend and I decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was prompt in asking what we wanted to order and was great at checking on us throughout our meal! We shared the Sweet Potato+Rocket. From the soft goat cheese to the pickled onions, it was packed with delicious flavor (you might find yourself fighting over the last bit). I then got the Smoked Portabella Melt and it hit the spot. The portabella mushroom gave the sandwich a meaty mouth feel and paired perfectly with the chimichurri and grilled onions. The downside to the sandwich was that it was slightly smokier to taste than I prefer. We ended the meal with the Peanut Butter Pie. We made a valiant effort and ate about 2/3 of the pie, but it was heavy and slightly dense. Although delicious, I do feel that it needed something like a whipped topping to cut the density just a bit. She was very knowledgeable about the menu which was helpful. We started off with the mango papaya spring rolls and I was so surprised with how delicious they were - so fresh, light but packed with flavor. It was citrusy, sweet, and tart. MUST ORDER if you dine here. I opted for the spinach salad with chicken wanting a lighter meal. The salad was actually big and filling. It's exactly as described in the menu. I personally don't like cranberries so I just pushed them to the side. The chicken was good but slightly too salty. I think because there is already feta, not much salt is needed to anything else. The Celine Dijon smash burger was crispy on the edges, deliciously salty, with right bite of arugula bitterness. The deep fried cheese didn't add as much to the dish as I would have expected, but it was tasty nonetheless. The fries were a hit, and even better were the sauces provided. The citrusy lime infused one was a perfect balance to the heaviness of the rest of the dish, and helped round out the whole experience. My family and I eat here one to two times a month but our recent visit will have us thinking twice. At brunch I specifically asked for well done scrambled eggs and extra crispy bacon. But my eggs were runny and bacon was undercooked. I asked for jelly for my toast and was told they were out of it. The bun was not even special, c'mon man you couldn't toast the bun? The Mrs had their take on shrimp and grits and again, nothing special, lacking flavor and pizzas! We invited guests , my wife's sister and her companion. Needlessly to say they were not impressed either, as a matter of fact my wife's sister took her burger off the bun and set it aside. The state of Georgia, especially the Atlanta area offers a plethora of tastebuds, tantalizing, fine dining. This was the first time I've been to this restaurant and was seriously let down by our overall experience. We came in yesterday on a Sunday and there was no wait time. Our waiter was pleasant, but he did not tell us about any of the specials of the day or recommendations. We have always started with our sever describing the meals of the day and specials. To us it just seemed like he wanted to get in and out of his shift for the day. We ordered a shrimp appetizer, the GAMBAS AL AJILLO, that was said to come with a baguette. What came out was just a hoagie roll cut into pieces and toasted. On top of that the shrimp was not flavored or seared. The sauce was just a broth with a little seasoning to make it spicy (which was not spicy at all). When we decided on our meals there was much confusion on the fact that i asked for jalapeños on the side. I had to ask several times to verify he understood i wanted that with my meal. My husband and i both wanted our burgers bunless as a lettuce wrap. The lettuce we were provided with were wilted when it came. My husband received his, but my meal came as is with a bun. Both of our meals were disappointing,. They were both over cooked. My burger came with blue cheese which i had to ask for extra because there was hardly any. My husband and i asked for broccolini as a side that was a special veg of the day. We received an undercooked and under seasoned vegetable. On top of that, when we were looking for our waiter he was doing shots in the kitchen/bar with his other coworkers. We will definitely not be coming back. The decor is rustic modern with dim lighting. Great place for a casual dinner but would be nice for a date as well. They have garage doors on the second floor that open up for a nice airy view. This place has quite a selection for craft beers, many of them local. However, they were out of one of the draughts we ordered. Tried to order the chicken liver appetizer, but again they were out. Got fried green tomatoes instead, they were amazing! Food came out fairly quickly. Everyone enjoyed their burgers. Everything was cooked to perfection, no complaints at all. Parking is fairly limited but there is street parking as well. I normally get the jerk chicken big plate. The jerk chicken is very good, tasty and seasoned well. The spicy cabbage is freaking awesome. Also be sure to try the goat cheese mashed potatoes. They have different specials daily so be sure to ask what they are... Even though they normally tell you.
