Gave explanations for the real problems and recommendations. Then proceeded to work on it after I approved of the repairs. Fixed the bathtub piping (removing and reinstalling water heater), snaked the kitchen and tub for a good deal. Didn't have to do any unnecessary destruction, or any for that matter. When we used our sink this morning, it was leaking badly. My wife and I were anxious, because when the work week starts, we don't have a lot of availability to schedule something. Nonetheless, my wife looked on Yelp and saw good reviews for this place. She called, and they came out within the hour. Our plumbers name was Skyler. Skyler took a look at the sink and was able to make some minor, quick fixes and completely stop the leaking. He did it so quickly that he said he wasn't even going to charge us. We told him we wanted to pay him, but he simply refused to take any money. He said, "We run an honest business, and I don't feel good about charging you for this." Called Local Rooter & Plumbing after getting a no show no call from another plumbing company. I called LR&P after another company decided not to show up. It was sunday (1/3/16) and i needed to get my toilet installed. The flange on the sewage pipe was in bad shape, the anchor bolts wouldn't secure properly. Duy and his partner came to my house 30minutes after i called him. Very professional. They looked at the flange and then inspected the pipes under the house. They told me there was leakage and showed me pictures of the damage. The pipes were old and I decided to have them change the plumbing for both bathrooms. They came out on Tuesday and completed the removal and install of the toilet and plumbing by the end of the day. They came back the next day to inspect that there were no leaks and replaced the main supply line as well. It was steel & was pretty rusty. The whole time they were working on the supply line, they were getting soaked by the rain. All in all, i was very impressed by Duy and his crew. Their pricing was very competitive and the quality of their work is top notch. If i need any plumbing needs for my home or business, they would be the ones to call. I called Local Rooter (based on a recommendation from my son-in-law who used Local Rooter to clear their sewer line two weeks prior, who highly recommended Local Rooter as they worked very diligently to successfully clear his sewer line). Within 30 minutes of my call a crew of 2 with the right equipment showed up on the job, clearing the sewer line in about 90 minutes. They provided high quality, timely and ethical service to my mom who is almost 80 and who had been taken advantage off from another company who broke her sewer line on a Friday with no resolve and had my senior mother signing a contract three days later for $17,000 plus to put in a new sewer line (which she didn't need and couldn't afford). This call saved my mom over $14,000. So sad that some companies take advantage of seniors, but not Local Rooter. They are fair and don't exploit seniors. read more

I had a leakage problem under the toilet that was seeping water underneath the linoleum. I called in the mid morning and Tai came out to inspect a few hours later. He quickly determined the cause, repaired the problem, put the toilet back in place, and sealed around the base of the toilet. All done in less than an hour and reasonably priced. I changed my review from 2 star to 5-star for the following reasons: 1. Duy came to my house and investigate what happened 40 mins after I posted the review. 2. He was genuinely sincere and wanted to help. He acknowledged the mistakes that his new employee made. As he learnt we have found another technician to fix the remaining issue, he gave us a full refund. I have never experienced this level of customer support in the past from any service providers. For all his care and response, I gave him two-thumbs up and will use his service again in the future. ------------- I would almost rate them 5-star if it was purely based on the initial response. But I spent $$$ and the issue was not completely fixed. One of our main sprinkler valves was broken and started leaking badly. I called on a Sunday and was told that they would do free estimates. The technician showed up within an hour. My appreciation was beyond description at that point. However things started going south after that. First, the initial estimate for changing a valve was far more than what I originally expected. When we told him that we would have to find someone else, the technician gave us a better quote, more in line with our expectation. Then we said go ahead. He went short on a part and had to purchase, we agreed to add more to the quote. But in the end, it is still leaking. he only fixed the pipe but not the sprinkler head because he said it would not be his job. Then he left. I had wished that they would have told me ahead of time. Then I would have gone straight to a gardener who would have helped with both pipe and the sprinkler head together. read more

I would give this company and the technician, David, 5 stars for promptness, professionalism and cleanliness. We had a nasty main line clog with water backing into the bathtubs. This was at 10pm on Saturday. I found this company on Yelp. They picked up the phone promptly, quoted me on the phone and dispatched a technician right away. The technician, David, arrived some time before 11pm and got to work. He snaked the line almost to 100ft. He also augered a toilet. Both jobs ended up being lot more difficult than predicted, but David did not complain once. I hope we don't have another emergency, but if we do, I will call David again! read more

Since sewage pipes inside my house been replaced, the outside sewage pipe just couldn't take the increased water volume. All sewage back up to my house. I called LR&P again for help. Pricy. The guy came to fix a leak in kitchen. After he did the job, asked him if there is a warranty, he said they don't give any warranty on any job. Charged a lot for a 30 minute job. After I posted this review, the owner saw this and called me that they do give warranties. Came to the house and gave me a month warranty for the job.
