    Poke bowl
    Marissa V.

I recently tried the poke at loco ono. I enjoyed how fresh the ingredients are. The rice was really delicious. I usually get salmon and shrimp only in my bowl. I mixed it with spicy mayo and miso sauce . I liked it. The only thing is I wished it had corn as a topping Its one of my favorites to put in it. But other than that they had varies of toppings to put on it and shakers. I also was hopping to find the ice cream the south Virginia location has to top it off. But unfortunately they didn't have the freezer on. The parking is small in front but they are in a shopping area where u can find parking close by if they for any reasonyou don't find something out in front. The customer service was great she was very helpful. Overall will get it again . Even their hot foods are good like the garlic chicken, garlic shrimp, and even the musubi. Place is small so larger parties might not fit.

This place used to have a few tables outside (year-round) and today, they are gone. I hope the tables will be back. We always enjoyed sitting outside with our fur baby enjoying their food. Hoping the business owner responds to this post. We will continue to eat here but less if we are unable to bring our pup.

Great local style restaurant. Its nice to see Hawaiian island style food in Reno/Sparks. Hits they spot when you craving some poke or island style grinds. Love the chicken katsu here. Good portion. Nice to be able to get garlic rice for a small upcharge. But not great that you have to pay extra for mac salad. Normally, it comes standard. But it's all good. Service was friendly. Food came out fast, sad to hear can't call in take out orders anymore. But placed order online which was convenient.

Loco One is a great quick little lunch meal. Chicken is always super crispy on the outside and super tender and juice on the inside. My go to is the Mochiko Chicken, it's the bees knees.... Mac salad that it comes with has always been tasty. Have had the kalbi a few times and it's always good as well. Service was great today, painless ordering, super fast fulfillment. Place is also nice and clean. For sure 5 stars for Hawaiian style in Reno, hands down my favorite spot when I'm in the mood.

Cute restaurant, our food was made fresh and the portion sizes were generous. My husband got the short ribs, and they were delicious! I got the chicken katsu, it had a great crunch and the chicken was not dry. The macaroni salad was amazing! We will for sure go back and try more, the people working were friendly as well.

Came in for lunch and I asked for the most popular item on the menu and it turned out to mochiko chicken and garlic shrimp. The chicken was fried to perfection with it being crispy golden on the outside while tender and juicy on the inside. The sauce on it was deliciously addicting. The shrimps for the garlic shrimp were a lot bigger than I expected. Very crispy but I wasn't a fan of it compared to the chicken. All food comes with macaroni salad. The service was friendly. The place is set up like a poke bar where you order and go. There are a few tables for dine in. The place isn't aesthetically pleasing or anything but the tables were clean.

To be fair, we usually just order the Mochiko Chicken for take out, so I can't speak to the rest of the menu. The dining area is usually clean, but space is limited (half a dozen tables). We usually only deal with the one person, up front. Each time the person that we have dealt with has been friendly and efficient in taking and expediting our order to completion. The pasta salad that comes with the order is pretty tasty, but I am not an expert in pasta salad, so take it how you will. There are two scoops of white rice included. I would like a brown rice option, but one is not on their menu. The chicken itself is breaded and tends to be juicy. The toppings, sauce, and etc on the chicken give it a very nice flavor combination. The portions are pretty big. I could probably finish it one sitting if I didn't want to eat the rest of the day, so I tend to split it into two meals. The chicken re-heats well

Top: Loco Ono Ahi poke. Bottom: Cali style Salmon poke.

I tried the S. Virginia St. location before and I am trying this Sparks location this time. The quality of food is as good as another location. I ordered the mochiko chicken with brown rice, a mixed plate with Kalbi, garlic chicken and garlic rice, 1/2 lb of loco ono ahi and 1/2 lb of Cali style salmon poke. The food are all superb with great portion. Mochiko chicken is crispy outside and tender inside and garlic chicken has flavorful garlicky coating. But I was given the brown rice instead of the garlic rice for the mixed plate that I originally ordered with extra $1.5 dollars. So I am a bit disappointed of it. Of course poke here can't be compared to the one in Hawaii but at least it satisfies my craving for poke once a while. Service is prompt and friendly. I will come back again for the garlic rice next time.

That's one of their medium Poké bowls.

My wife and I discovered the location in midtown first, because it was adjacent to another place we like. Once we found the Sparks location was on the way home from work, we try to make it a weekly stop. Very impressed with the seafood, always fresh (Sierra Gold?). Their other ingredients also and great sauces. I've never felt the need to order the "large", since the medium is always a good meal. It reminds me of some places on Kauai. The staff are very friendly and will give you a sample if you haven't tried something yet (mango I wasn't sure of, but went nicely). They also have a great selection of drinks. Oh, besides the bowls, they do have other items. The musubi is always a good bite for breakfast the next day. Very much recommend.

I had never tried any Hawaiian food before, last week I tried the Garlic Chicken with Garlic Rice and this week I tried the Mochiko Chicken and Garlic Rice and WOW let me tell you! Amazing!! The service is FANTASTIC and the food is even better! The restaurant is so clean and welcoming!

small business lots of varieties to choose from plates to poki bowls ordered the mixed plate, kalbi and mochiko cripsy chicken which was about $18 after taxes the kalbi was good for being loco ono grilled and plain, the meat itself is tasty mochiko chicken is like a cripsy chicken with mayo ketchup like sauce which was okay wouldn't get that again would like to try the garlic chicken, chicken katsu, and poki on my next visit

    Regular Sized Poke Bowl

My partner and I dropped by Loco Ono for our final meal together since it was an easy grab-and-go poke and their pricing was fair. For $13, I was able to get a delicious tofu plant-based poke bowl with so many fixings. They offer all the usual toppings from edamame to seaweed salad, and all different kinds of sauces to amp up your bowl. I appreciated being able to select brown rice and mixed greens as my base for no additional charge. The regular size bowl was a large portion and was perfect for 1.5 meals, but of course I ended up eating it all at once. Our server was also super friendly and helpful. The moment I told her that everything would need to be vegan, she made sure to read out which sauces were vegan friendly without me asking, and even loaded up my bowl with so many veg toppings that it was bursting. The ambiance is fairly basic so I would consider this more for grab-and-go especially at night, but the price and quality of the poke is great and I would recommend to anyone.

This place blew me away. I visited for the first time and tried the garlic chicken, spam musubi, and created a poke bowl. All of it was fantastic but the garlic chicken was the star. It was incredibly juicy and flavorful and wasn't overly fried. The poke bowl was one of the best I've ever had, with fresh tasting ingredients. Highly recommend this place. It may be built more for to-go orders, but they also have a few tables set up inside. The service was great too, friendly and helpful for a first timer.

Food is good, Service is good. Only thing is I dislike paper plates and plastic utensils. Those things should be used only in emergencies.

The portions are great. A large easily gets me two meals, usually dinner and then lunch the next day. I always do at least half rice and half mixed greens because I enjoy the salad part. Sometimes I'll skip the rice completely or do about 3/4 greens and 1/4 rice. I honestly think a full bowl of rice would overwhelm everything else. My go-to is salmon, spicy tuna, spicy mayo, and unagi sauce. Plus all the toppings. Delicious. I've ordered it enough times that I should probably branch out, but apparently personal growth has limits. The place is always clean and everything is quick and easy. A lot of the employees seem pretty young, great first job, but they consistently have it handled. I also appreciate that even when there are a bunch of DoorDash orders coming through, they seem to prioritize the actual people standing in line instead of making you wait behind a mountain of online tickets. I went for lunch with coworkers once and our whole chatty group was in and out within about 45 minutes. There isn't a ton of indoor seating, but there was enough for us, the AC was glorious, and it worked perfectly for a quick lunch. Good portions, fresh ingredients, easy ordering, and consistently good. Basically my designated "fine, I'll get sushi by myself" place.

They've been around for 15 years and it's still a good time since when they opened. It's not trying to be overly fancy. The atmosphere is casual but definitely a little more hip than your standard sushi place, and the music is usually excellent if you're a millennial. There are TVs if you want to watch a game, but it's also a great place to sit, catch up with friends, and not feel like they're trying to rush you out the second you finish eating. They have a ton of fun rolls, including plenty of cooked options if raw fish isn't your thing. My regular rotation is Tha Latingo, Tha Shiznit, Tha Hitman, Tha Caterpillar, Upside Down Shrimp, and Yakitori. One of those first few is legitimately spicy, not "sushi restaurant spicy," so maybe follow it with something mild unless you enjoy making questionable decisions. I'm not much of a yellowtail person, so someone else will have to provide the expert opinion there. If you sit at the sushi bar, things usually come out at a reasonable speed, and they're great about letting you customize things. The chefs can be a little hit or miss on how chatty they are, but that's never bothered me. The servers are consistently quick, especially about clearing plates, which is very appreciated during AYCE. Overall, it's reliably good, easy, above average Reno AYCE sushi without trying too hard to be something it isn't. And the fact that it's close to home certainly doesn't hurt.

The staff seemed more interested in looking at their phones, laughing, and socializing with each other than attending to their customers. It's unfortunate because the food was genuinely delicious, but good food can only make up for so much when the customer service is this poor. Based on our experience, we will not be returning.
