Wednesdays at 6:30, every two weeks. Four categories, ten questions per category. Grade another team's paper like school. We killed the blue movies category last week. Trivia master is def a movie guy. I would come back for this trivia format, yes. This was also a good spot to watch the niner game a few weeks back. Back when we were winning. Sigh. TVs everywhere, lots of seating inside and out. That said, it's a busy popular spot full of regulars so if you want a seat for a game or event, come early. I want to come back for music bingo or vinyl night. Bring your own vinyl. Color me intrigued. Not sure what music people listen to here but I have options. They have a lot of cool stuff happening here. Mostly friendly vibes, great beer selection on local craft AND imports. Bathroom report: it's whatever. Reminds me of midtown with the jankiness but I may just be prior-homesick. I wandered into a nearby storeroom for tp one night but there was ? more tp inside the b room that I missed. Oops.

It paired well with the sandwich. One was spicy and the salad was tangy but refreshing. My friend also ordered the pork schnitzel with beef tallow fries. I tried some of her fries and they were thin but still crispy. Overall the food at West Oak Nosh was so good and delicious! This is, by far, the BEST restaurant Lodi has to offer. There is a great variety of food and beer to experience and everything I've tried has been exceptional. If you're a lager fan, start with the Lodi Lite, but I must recommend the IPA's! If you're not a beer fan, they have a great selection of local wines and liquor. They also make their own root beer, which I love (it's like a dessert by itself). The Bruno's Cubano sandwich is definitely recommended (shredded pork, ham, chipotle mayo (add that stuff to any sandwich there, it adds a nice kick), pickled onions and cucumbers (they pickle these themselves, they're unique and I love them) and Bruno's peppers. I've never tasted a sandwich like this one! For an appetizer... O.M.G. The Cheese Loaf is sooo good!!! Fresh baked bread with the melted cheese blend of Gruyere, Swiss and Parmesan mixed with the garlic butter and dipped in balsamic vinegar... heaven. This place brews their own craft beer, but the atmosphere is still family-friendly. The restaurant provides outdoor seating in the patio area, which can be really relaxing in the midst of downtown Lodi. The interior is gorgeous! You can tell a lot of thought and craftsmanship went into designing the look for this place. Even their bathrooms are beautiful. They offer a large banquet room to book parties and events and even with larger parties, they have great service! The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. It is now under new ownership. so there are a lot of new rules. Food was ok. But they will not split the bill. And there is a markup if you use a card. So recently, we were there with a total of 9 people. The other couples paid cash. While we always us our card. So we split the bill like we always do and our portion was around 63 bucks, but. because we paid with our card, they added a surcharge of 18% on the whole bill of over $400 bucks, even though the majority of the bill was paid by cash. I said we should only pay the surcharge on our portion of $63.00 To which we were told, no, because of the new ownerships policy we had to pay the surcharge on over $400. We will not be going back until this is fixed or under new ownership. Also. my dinner came with a salad. I asked if I could have soup instead. The waiter said sure, so thats what I ordered. So when the appetizers got there, I asked for my soup, and he said it comes with the meal. So when my meal came, still no soup, 5 minutes later, the soup came. And I was charged extra for the soup, to which I was not told of the extra charge. Really sad, because we ate there a lot. My bf and I met my son, his girlfriend and a couple of her brothers for lunch.. The food was good - the Burgers are huge and the beer sampler was pretty good too ... A couple of the darker beers were just way too strong for us but for the price it was a good deal. Like another reviewer I found the French dip to be a bit soggy and salty but it was palatable. The service on the other hand..if you are a guy the service was great, however the waitress completely ignored me and my sons girlfriend. She never asked if we needed anything and although she refilled the guys sodas and water a couple of times never once did she ask either of us. Her mistake because the ladies at the table were treating the boys to lunch. I was a waitress for awhile and my suggestion to all waitresses NEVER ignore the women at your table, thinking that flirting with the men will get you a better tip... 9 times out of 10 it won't! Even when my bf is paying he always hands me the receipt to fill in the tip for him... as is the case for most couples I know. Just a word of advise. As for the Lodi Beer Co. I went here yesterday to celebrate a birthday with my family, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. Our waitress,DESTINY, was rude, disrespectful, and barely checked on our table. The only time she came over was when we had to ask for refills, and even then, she never brought them out. She also messed up our salad order. She wrote down two Caesar salads, but when the order came out wrong, she tried to tell us that was what we had ordered. Instead of apologizing or fixing the mistake, she was rude about it. The worst part was when my grandpa was unable to grab something, and Destiny practically threw a to-go box onto the floor instead of handling the situation respectfully and professionally. That was completely unacceptable. We came in to celebrate a birthday and enjoy dinner with our family, but her attitude and behavior completely ruined the experience. I absolutely do not recommend sitting in Destiny's section. Management seriously needs to address her behavior because customers should never be treated this way. Based on our experience, I would not want to be served by her again. read more

I'm conflicted about this review because our service was excellent from check in to our waiter who was super attentive, friendly and just spot on in all aspects of service, the stars I gave were for that only. We've been here a lot pre pandemic and the food used to be good. It's terrible now. For the price everything tasted either pre frozen or packaged and prepared. I had the French dip sandwhich, which I think they just took cold roast beef lunch meat heated it up and slapped it on a hoagie, with literally nothing else but some sweaty tasteless cheese. The aus jus with it tasted like salty water with onion powder my French fries tasted like frozen fries. My Husband had the fish tacos which he did say the salsa was good but it tasted like frozen fried fish and the size was very small and for the prices I'd expect much better. I'm not sure what happened, I guess this is another restaurant that sacrificed quality because of the pandemic. I'd go back for a beer or a root beer float and that's it. read more

Today was my boyfriend's bday and we went for dinner for the first time! We were able to get a reservation for 2 a couple days before and some scheduling changes happened and we were able to call and change the time a little later same day! The staff is very friendly and welcoming and when we sat we both agreed how pretty the interior design was, perfect for people who don't like harsh lighting! They have such a wide variety of things on their menu and their soup of the day was a nice creamy chicken poblano which was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend got the 5 napkin burger with a side of chili that he loved and I got a bowl of the chicken poblano! Wonderful dinner, wonderful birthday gift for him. Wow, still blown away by the bad reviews here! I love this place. The prices are reasonable the food is good and I have only had 1 bad time in the past 4 or so years I have been eating here and the manager was more than willing to make me happy. My wife and I ate here again last night. AWESOME service! My waitress was Corrie and she was on top of it. My glass was always refilled quickly and efficiently. Her coworkers worked as a team which was a refreshing trait for a restaurant nowadays. The food was hot! The place was booming and there was even Rock 'em Sock 'em robots being played at the bar. This place is always a good time. Every time my family comes down from So. Cal to stay we always go here. Just a tip, if you are planning on going on the weekend, especially Friday, get reservations, this place gets packed and for good reason. The food is great. I have to admit I haven't tried much on the menu because I always get there pulled pork sandwich with the sweet potato fries. Did I mention the sweet potato fries. I am getting hungry just writing this review. As the name implies they do have a wonderful selection of beers on tap. Rudest people that work there! Went there for my graduation dinner with 17 people, we purchased giftcards from Costco, So people beware to only have Lodi Beer Co not want to honor them!! Two women who work there are SO RUDE, ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS!! They said 'too bad' and left me with a five hundred dollar bill and five hundred dollars worth of gift cards I could not use! Phoned manager next morning and spoke to the shift manager who told me ' The gift cards at Costco are only a marketing tool they use to get people in the door.' I have such a bitter taste about that place and I will NEVER being going back, and I recommend you save your money and dine elsewhere. read more

We celebrated my daughters a baby shower on a sat. They allowed me to show up early to decorate. MJ (Mari) was so sweet and nice and took care of every detail. The service she provided was above and beyond. She truly has a gift of making people feel important: she has attention to detail, fast, prompt and just very nice. We had a nice time. It was 100 degrees outside and they brought a fan to help circulate air. The food was delicious. The staff was so nice. The room provided and set was nice all I needed were prizes and decorations! Came here for a large group party, celebrating a wedding. Beer was nice and cold but we were never offered/asked if we wanted to order appetizers. Food was good but took over an hour and a half to come out once we sat down. Worst of all- since they never explained to the person paying our $1000 tab that gratuity wasn't included (as is with most large parties at restaurants)- we were intercepted outside upon leaving and I personally had to cover the tip. I've heard a lot about this place and it was busy when we decided to check it out. I understand that this isn't a 4 star restaurant, but rather a fun energetic and loud place with mediocre food. Well we were all stumped. The service was terrible, the food was definitely mediocre, the beer sampler truly was awful and it was way too loud. I ordered a chicken salad and others ordered a greasy burger and a chicken sandwich that was not very good. My salad was not very good at all. Just flavorless. We came to Lodi Beer Company today for my daughter's birthday and it was wonderful. We had 17 people so we got half the back room to ourselves. Had a great view of football on the TV and great service from our 2 waitresses, Ashley and Taylor. The food and beer were excellent and and service was quick. I was impressed that all the food came out at pretty much the same time for all 17 of us. One of our waitresses recommended the bread pudding and it really was very good. So this is my "go-to" place. I love the interior design aesthetics. The staff is always nice and attentive. The menu is just diverse enough and the food is always, always yummy! And lets not forget about the beer brewed right there. Their beer menu is just as diverse as the food menu. Something for everyone. And always amazing! I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The aesthetic was stunning, with a beautiful view of downtown through the large window. Special thanks to James, our server, who was exceptionally kind and attentive. He ensured we were well taken care of, and we'll definitely request him on our next visit. The food was impressive too. Came in for an evening dinner after the Lodi Grape Festival. It's been awhile since we came here. We were greeted by friendly faces and was seated quickly. Our server was Mia and she was amazing. So attentive and was always coming back to see if we were doing ok. You can tell she has been serving for a while, she def had great customer service . Everything we had was yummy... My husband and I were actually on our way to a movie when we ran into this place. We left really early for the movie to get good seats and then....we seen this place. Since we knew popcorn&soda wouldn't hold us until the movie was over, we decided to go in and give this place a try. &we're glad we did. The restaurant space is nice. I like the brick, the big shiny brewery equipment. The staff is good, very responsive. The beer is definitely not to my liking. Admittedly, I'm not a regular beer drinker. There are beers that I've enjoyed. Just never found one at Lodi Beer Co. that I enjoyed. I can't eat there any more. I have food sensitivities and nearly everything they have is not good for me. I found the flavors to be very safe and within the American comfort food range. Boring. read more

It was quite warm and swampy outside though, and unfortunately, there were several mosquitoes making a meal out of us as well. Market Tavern has battery operated flyswatters that you can put on the table, but most of them were not charged so we couldn't really use them. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful though. Bathrooms were clean as well; actually kind of like the single bathrooms as they do have a few and give you more privacy. In terms of menu items, about 95% of the menu items are the same as Stockton's. I tried the Hamachi Crudo, which was refreshing and I also tried the roasted brussels sprouts. The duck confit was probably my favorite as it was so crispy. Although it sat on a bed of sweet sauce, I think it balance as well with the saltiness of the duck. I had a sparkling rosé locally from Lodi, which was refreshing and not stale/metallic. My friend got the salmon which she said was good too. I think overall, the big appeal for us was the fantastic service. At the end of our meal, our server generously gave both me and my friend little baggies of blueberry oatmeal cookies that we tried later. They were so fresh and delicious and soft. The staff here at market Tavern really made sure we got such great care and attention and treated us so well. My fur boys and I would be happy to return for that same experience. :)
