Nice restaurant, good food. Pleasant inside AND outside sitting is provided. Service is fairly fast and friendly. I had the LBC burger...very good Kobe beef on what appears to be a speciality baked burger bun. The burger came with a TINY TINY green salad. (maybe a 1/4 cup of simple greens) or you can French fries. My husband had the Greek Gryos, which he said was good. (Good but not special). He asked for unseasoned fries...the fries came seasoned. It wasn't worth the time to send them back. The beer was very good. My husband chose the Summer Wheat which was excellent. All in all Lodi Beer Company is nice...not special but ok. read more

Eh, everyone raves about this place but the food is just OK. Not outstanding or great. The service is hit or miss. The beer they brew is not that great and it's expensive. I have been here twice in the past two years and it just doesn't seems to get any better an the menu doesn't change seasonally. Do not get the steak wrap! It is tough and always under seasoned. I am surprised that I never reviewed this before. We are not in Lodi often but when we are we eat and drink here. For us beer is where our judgment of a restaurant starts and Lodi Beer Co's list is really impressive, particularly for a stand alone location. I have always headed straight for the Helles IPA but have tasted quite a few others and liked them all. Truth to tell, we do not remember what we ate but I do recall Judit saying as we left that that was very good and it was. If they were where we live would they take all our business from the places we go to now? No, but they sure would have a place in the rotation. read more

I freaking love this place! This place in downtown Lodi has an awesome interior. Great food, homemade root beer for the kids, every beer they serve is made in house. For the most part, I've never been disappointed with their food. Their beer gets an A+. Gotta say I really enjoy the atmosphere, and the staff is super friendly... when they can get to you. Walked in twice within the past month, seated, and wasn't acknowledged for about 20 minutes. Ended up leaving both times, but I'll forgive it on the days I'm craving a pulled pork sandwich. The beer was very good. We got the umna heffeweizen and I have been craving it since. I got the steak wrap with coleslaw and my husband got the Cajun burger with blue cheese fries. Everything from the service to the food was awesome. This is the first time in the two years my husband and I have been trying places that we were genuinely pleased with everything. Food came out in a timely manner, wait staff checked on us, we came in at the change of a shift also, and both waiters were beyond helpful and polite. We are definitely coming back. Lodi Beer is without a doubt one of the best places in Lodi for decent food, and great beer! With that being said, the place is very very busy and loud! They have stuffed in many tables, which makes it stuffy and even louder!! The bar is second to none, but also very very busy! If you go there, I would suggest lunch, or dinner Monday thru Thursday! This place looks absolutely great. Nice historic looking building and great feel. Have frequented this place off and on for years now. Looks like they finally turned it around and have respectable service and food quality. Several years ago I would have written a much different review (1 star). Good menu variety and average tasting food. Friendly wait staff. If you are in the mood for a burger try the 5-napkin. The backroom would be great for a private party. Not a beer or soda drinker but I could drink their homemade rootbeer all day long. Yes it is that good. Wish they would sell a keg/growler. Asked before but was told the owner isn't interested :( Would be more cost effective for me since I always order 2-3 to go when I get take out (all I can carry). read more

You have to try the swordfish special. It was delicious! The risotto and toppings on it brought out many flavors. I have had many of their dishes, and they don't disappoint! The swordfish is one of the best! For dessert we had the bread pudding. It was a perfect ending to an already fabulous meal. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Great atmosphere. Tall used brick walls, brass & metal decor surrounds big copper beer vats in the center of room. Very trendy & apparently popular, given the waiting line we saw as we left on a Sunday evening. Glad we reservations. It is not a quiet dining experience, if that is your thing. My husband & sister we given free samples of the beer, she 2 he 5. Before dinner, we had the best bruschetta I think I ever had. My sister had the beef salad and I had salmon. Both very good. Lodi beer Co. Is our traditional birthday spot, or for any occasion really. Our first time here we had this cute waitor, he was great! Our food came out and my boyfriend's burger was really really rare, so when we called our waitor back he took care of it immediately and brought him out a fresh plate. He handled it so well, we asked to talk to his manager. Having working in the food industry we have an understanding of how a comment can make or break your reputation. So we put in a good word for him and the poor guy was watching, and the manager went over and high fived him. It was a great experience, good food and we got to make someone's night. Our second time here was equally enjoyable, for my boyfriend's birthday, they brought him out a bread pudding that was delicious. All in all our experience here is simply the best, we love coming here, the prices are good and the food is amazing especially the fettuccine with shrimp!!! read more

My husband and I really want to like LBC. The fish &'chips were a soggy mess. The food is really not that good. The atmosphere is cool but honestly the only thing they have going for them. We come weekly to grab a beer with some friends & mostly sit at the pub tables in the bar. We love the IPA! Waitresses & Bartenders are super friendly & helpful. Food: They have AMAZING burgers! Appear to be real hand patted out burgers! The bleu burger is delicious and not to strong of a bleu cheese. Lodi Beer is always great food, friendly service and a fun atmosphere! My favorite thing to order is the BBQ chicken salad and the cider beer. My boyfriend loves the fish n chips! I have also had the Ruben Cubano and that was fabulous! Brandon Greene is a manager here and he always comes to say hi and make sure our food and service is great if we ever see him there. Jordan Kidd is also our favorite bartender there! She is super friendly and always makes sure everything is going great! Visited the Brewery on a Sunday afternoon; we were seated immediately next to the bar which proved to be wise as it was Happy Hour all day (+1 star). Unfortunately, they were out of the Oktoberfest, so I started with the School St. Brown - nice dark amber color and caramel/malty taste (+1 star). I complimented my pint with the Cajun burger medium-well with garlic fries - a bit messy but every bite was delicious with a subtle spice kick followed by melted cheese (+1 star). The service was good. Our waitress was attentive and our orders were delivered in a timely manner (+1 star). Overall, great restaurant/brewery and look forward to stopping by again. read more
