Coffee and service was great. Was hungry so had the steamed veggie bowl, it was surprisingly so good and really filling !! Great presentation. Lots of outdoor seating

Very cute coffee shop!! I stopped by here one morning to grab some coffee before heading to run some errands. The line was a little long but it was with the wait. I got a vanilla latte and lemon cookie, which was TO DIE FOR! It's an indoor/outdoor coffee shop, which is pretty chill when the weathers nice. I like that they offer WiFi but I couldn't find any outlets to charge my phone (could've just been where I was sitting). Parking wasn't the greatest though. It's on a busy street with lots of other shops and stores in the area so you have to circle around a few times to find parking. All in all, I enjoyed it there. Will be back for sure!

Hidden gem, super kind baristas and great coffee. Amazing quality ingredients. Will be coming back.

Tried a Matcha Mint Latte today! To my surprise the mint was subtle and natural sweetness of the almond milk really worked! My new favorite hot or cold drink! Thank you Lofty!

The lofty was okay, just okay to say the least. They most definitely get a 10 On the cute art side of the latte craft but the taste wasn't it for me. They made my husband and my latte but I had to remind them about my daughter's iced latte.....

Love going to Carlsbad and decided to try a new coffee shop. I had the Turkish latte and a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich. The sandwich was delicious. They added some jam which added a sweet element that worked well. The coffee was good too, though perhaps a tad too much cardamom for my taste The sitting area was mostly outdoors and was very modern and cool. Workers were very friendly and I would come back.

Great find for a coffee or tea and a light bite. The earl grey tea hit the spot and had a beautiful presentation design. We shared an avocado toast which was delicious! The open patio has several heaters to keep you comfortable on chilly days. Service was friendly.

To be Frank, I was disappointed in Lofty. I was excited to try this coffee shop, however it did not meet expectations. The service was quite odd, from the lack of being able to do a regular matcha without mint, to the shutting of the sliding glass door as I was waiting for my friend inside, it was not a friendly place. We got two of the teas, both okay but has some sweet additive that is not normal when ordering a tea. We felt very rushed at the end when the minute they closed all chairs were being quickly put away. Would go elsewhere.

Only been a couple of times now, the atmosphere is nice I like how the tables face out into the village! The first time I went the salted caramel coffee was pretty good, just a little sweet. However, not sure what happened the next time because our drinks were very watered down & kept separating from the milk :( Not sure why but this pic shows what I mean. It wasn't a matter of it sitting there too long or anything, we had just got it. We kept stirring them but overall the taste wasn't great.

Kirsten was spectacular! Service was above and beyond from ALL of the staff. We've found our go-to! Ambience is chic and spacious. Local vibes Thanks, guys!

    Turkey croissant sandwich

Was super excited to try this place as the photos looked good, but I sadly hated my matcha latte and we all thought it just tasted like almonds and nothing else. This was a huge bummer considering how expensive their drinks are and I ordered it the way they have it on the menu. However the food was great. I got the turkey croissant sandwich and it was quite good. Their prices are steep considering what you get, I think my sandwich and matcha latte were $23 and just my boyfriend's drink was $9 which was insane to me. I couldn't see myself wanting to come back considering the price and quality of drinks but the workers were very kind. They were super chatty and all of our food came out within 15 minutes or so. I would just readjust the matcha latte to make it taste authentic or mention it just tastes of almond milk, since it missed the mark on what Japanese matcha lattes should taste like, even if using almond milk.

Lofty is a local staple that everyone should experience! I've been drinking Lofty coffee since 2011 when they opened their first location and I'm glad they've expanded. They serve up craft coffee, espresso and tea, complemented by a delicious selection of pastries, cookies and a small seasonal selection of light breakfast and lunch options. They're espresso is great, but try the Turkish Latte if you're looking for something a little more unique. The Aztec Mocha is also good if you like a little spice in your drink. They also offer great croissant sandwiches and avocado toast options. I love the Toasted Quickie: avocado toast with olive oil, balsamic glaze and maldon sea salt! The ambience varies by location, but they're all enjoyable. The staff is also friendly and generous when it comes to making recommendations. Some people think they're prices are too high which is somewhat understandable. I do think it's partially due to the high quality ingredients that are used to make their food and beverages. In summary, Lofty has my vote! Try it out for yourself. Pro Tip: If you're dining with someone who has dietary sensitivities, they have good options that are gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan.

why am i drinking bits of stuff

the matcha is horrendous it was not mixed at all and just a waste. for the price it's annoying. Thanks for the response! I noticed the matcha on top and I knew it was decorative but even so the whole thing was not mixed. I tried mixing it myself and it was not a properly made matcha. I would have had her fixed it but I was in a time crunch and unfortunately didn't want to walk back. Thank you!

There was a large lot maybe 1 block away that we parked at and then walked in from there. Inside, there was a line but it moved pretty fast. They have a little water stand you can get some water from too which was nice after chowing down on the donut. The donut itself was so good. Right amount of fluffiness and taste and crispiness. I smiled and commented on the donuts and that broke their gossipy reverie. One immediately walked away like she couldn't be bothered to work, only a paid gossiper. There was no one in the store other than me. She rung me up with a flat attitude like she just got out of jail and was miserable. Her name is Bre. I ordered a dirty chai. With two other items. She wouldn't give a to go box like they usually do. It came off super cheap. She told me to just cover it with a lid even tho I told her I had a dog in the car that would eat it and it was chocolate sprinkle. Traditionally they stop and make the coffee and then move on to the next guest. She was in a really bad mood so she kept taking donut orders until about 5 guests deep. Then she got 2 other coffee orders so she stopped to make coffee. About 10 to 15 minutes after I paid for my other order she makes my dirty chai. A kid and a mom are right by the counter. The kid grabs my drink and spills it on the counter and on the floor. She sees this. It's right in front of her. She says oh no that's not yours. Then she wipes it off and tries to pass it off to me like I didn't see. I said no, you're not going to re make it? She goes no, it's not my fault he spilled it. I was like I want a refund. She goes why. I'm like the drink spilled and you didn't even offer or try to remake it. This place had really gone downhill. Service is awful. The donuts look nice but they've been sitting out and are stale. The same with crossaint I had. I would not go back here anymore. Awful experience. Drove out of my way to come here today. It's a shame. This place used to be really friendly and fresh and top of the line customer service, Management needs to rework things before they completely go downhill but it seems they are already there.

Great flavor and dark chocolate shavings on top. This helped keep me awake on my long drive home! Love that they're local! I'd heard of its sister restaurant, Campfire; however, I hadn't been to either. This was my first time at Wildland, and it did not disappoint. Where should I start this review? Perhaps the ambiance? It's simply gorgeous inside. Gorgeous! Open spaces, and a beautiful, warm palette of neutrals and soft colors. To me, the atmosphere of my dining experience is so important, and I have no notes here. Well done. We were immediately seated and greeted by the staff. Everyone was so kind and even made conversation with my friend and me. Jorge, the one who made our drinks, even bent my straw into a heart, which was a cute detail I enjoyed. Haha, shout out to Erika, too! Okay, but now onto the food. It was, to make a long story short, delicious, albeit expensive. But you kinda know that beforehand, if you're choosing to dine here. Below is my review of all the items we ordered: Ube Bae Bae: One of the new cocktails offered on the menu! It was a beautiful purple color. It reminded me of a pina colada, which is always a favorite in my book. You can taste the alcohol, but it isn't overpowering. Chunky Dunky: Another one of the new cocktails offered. It supposedly had banana in it, but I couldn't quite make it out. I still enjoyed it, though I wouldn't say I'd reorder this. Sugar Snap Peas: I didn't know snap peas could taste this elevated, haha. The hint of lemon added a nice touch of citrus to the otherwise earthy flavors. It was a nice, light appetizer, and the portions weren't half bad. Wood Fired Cabbage: Definitely my favorite appetizer of the two we tried. This was like a cabbage steak, but absolutely enveloped in cheese! That's still healthy, right? The char was delightful, and I highly recommend this dish. Mafaldine: Wow, loved this pasta dish too! The pasta shape is very fun to eat, and it adds a nice texture. The tomato-morjoram is a nice twist on a regular tomato sauce, and the sundried tomatoes added a nice pop of sweetness. It would only be elevated if it came with some protein. Tiramisu: Please, please get the tiramisu. It was so good, though I'm always biased with tiramisu, haha. The cream was rich, and the espresso flavor prominent. They are incredibly generous with the cocoa powder, too; trust me, we were close to licking it off the plate. Chocolate Hazelnut Cake: Imagine biting into a giant Ferrero Rocher. This is exactly what it tasted like, and I have no complaints here. Very rich, very decadent. So good. Overall, I loved my experience at Wildland! Yes, it's on the pricier side, so maybe I'd reserve this spot for special occasions, but I'd definitely recommend it, and I hope to come back!
