Dinner at this Logan's Roadhouse was edible, but nothing to write home about. I had the steak Cobb salad, with medium rare steak. Some of the lettuce was old and wilted, definitely not fresh. Didn't even eat all the salad. The waitresses were nice but service was slow. But what really got to me was the men's bathroom. There were mats in front of the two urinals that were soaked with water and urine, so much so that a person left wet tracks after standing in front of the urinal. Simply disgusting! Management and hostess were horribly rude and nasty with us. they rolled their eyes at us and didn't ask us to put a mask on, just went and got the manager who told us she would make us leave. Took my drink order immediately and gave me a menu Don't know how she knew I was eating but she knew.... Ordered the sirloin steak skillet Came out within 10 mins or so in between I almost finished my beer and I was already asked if I wanted another... The person who brought out my steak immediately asked Me to cut into it to make sure it was cooked properly... It was cooked perfectly... All around this place was great... Food was amazing.. steak had great flavor They have peanuts to eat and throw the shells on the floor... It's got a great atmosphere... I would definitely recommend and will definitely come back next time I'm in town PS the only reason I didn't give it five stars is because they only had Corona extra.... We ordered a pickup order. After waiting 30 minutes past the pick up time finally got our food. Get home to eat our dinner and they had forgot a extra side, didnt put any of the dressing I specifically requested, the mac n cheese was burnt and hard , and my salad was warm . My husband ordered onion rings and there was 4or 5 of the small ones that were soggy. Logans is my favorite, and I was seriously disappointed in the lack of effort put into our order. I have gone in Logan's in Athens two times in the last week and WOW what a change.Service was great and a manager named Keleah sorry if I misspelled it anyways she stopped by my table to make sure everything was great. I know Logan's has gotten a bad reputation in Athens for poor service and food quality based on the reviews but they definitely are turning things around and i highly recommend giving them another chance.Very satisfied with my recent visits.Also the atmosphere is great and full of satisfied customers with smiling faces and full belly's. I've also learned that most people who leave reviews are people who have had bad experiences but business definitely deserved to be praised when they do a great job as well. If we only left reviews when experiences are bad that is all people are going to see. If you have a great experience be sure to leave a positive review this also goes for poor experiences but be fair when you leave one because it definitely affects a business and its employees. read more

Very disappointing. My steak was tough, my sister's steak was underdone and was taken back to cook further but didn't come back until everyone else was done and then it was way overdone. Martini was not a full glass - twice and when asked, it was dismissed with that's how my manager makes them. I would expect the server to ask her manager about the martini and to offer something as a gesture for my sister's steak coming out late. Einstein stated that insanity is continually doing the same thing expecting different results. He apparently ate often at the Logan's in Athens, Alabama... When this restaurant first opened we had a sub-optimal experience (food wasn't done, and yet it took them forever to get it to the table). We figured that it was a new restaurant and just needed some time to get its act together, so we stayed away for six months and then tried it again. Same result, so we stayed away again for a few more months. Rinse. Repeat. Occasionally we've had a good meal and thought "Wow! They've finally found competent management / cook / wait staff". Then the next week we realize it was just a fluke. I travel and am on the road a lot. Stopped in for a late bite after driving several hours. The hostess was not at her station and was off cleaning tables. After several minutes, one server came by and tried to seat me. The table was dirty and she needed to stop and clean it. Eventually my server showed up and was attentive and took my order promptly. It took several minutes to bring my salad out. It was a little over dressed. My entree took a lot longer to come out. I waited around an hour for the steak to come out. So an hour and 10 minutes into the experience, the Logan brewski style comes out and it's just a flavorless puck of grey meat. No garlic butter or crispy onions. It was smothered in sliced onions that weren't cooked properly. I asked about the crispy onions, and the server took it back and brought it out with crispy onions on top, but still no garlic butter and the sautéed onions were gone. After attempts to eat the steak failed, I broke down and asked to have the steak removed from my order. Management comped the meal. I was appreciative, but would have rather had my steak flavorful and prepared as ordered. No issue with my server, or the manager, only with the cook who sent out my order. The 3 cheese Mac was lukewarm and not flavorful at all. Reminded me of bad cafeteria institutional Mac. I've eaten at several Logan's and the food has been average at most of them. We stopped here on the way back to Nebraska from Talladega and it was a great experience. The only disappointment was that alcohol cannot be served here on Sunday! But our waitress Heather was so sweet it made up for it! We both had the filet and lobster tail special - it was delicious. Everything was perfect from the service to the food. Every time I go into THIS location of Logan's Roadhouse, I get pissed off and swear I'm not going back. Tonight was the last straw! I ordered the new york strip. The first 2 bites, I had to spit back out into my napkin because of the gristle. So I thought I had just gotten the end of the steak, and cut my steak in half to get to the middle. I could feel the gristle while cutting. I got to eat about 3 bites. I finally told the server that it was the worst steak I had ever gotten and showed her the line of gristle that ran through it. She apologized and offered to bring me something else. She took the steak, my napkin full of gristle and left. 5 Minutes later someone came out with my plate and asked me why I sent it back because she could not see anything wrong with it! I showed her the gristle. Then she asked me why I ate 75% of it before sending it back. I was shocked! On the plate was all the pieces that I had cut up and you could plainly see the line of gristle. I told her that I ate maybe 3 bites and she argued with me, said most of the steak was gone. My dinner companion spoke up and told her she was wrong. (I had eaten all of the brocolli, so the only thing on the plate was the steak and pieces I had cut. ) She huffed off and my friend and I just looked at each other because we could not believe that had just happened. She suggested that I talk to a manager about it. When our server came back, she told me that the person that came out to talk to us WAS a manager! This was not an isolated event. Every time I go in there , I leave mad. EVERY. TIME. It is always something. I was told that there was a new GM and things were so much better. I found out that was not true. Took about an hour to get food after ordering. I try to be very understanding in these times, but an hour is just too long for a salad, corn dog and small sirloin steak. Asked for salad without blue cheese and it came with blue cheese. Food brought to the table and was not given dressing for my salad. They dropped the food off very quickly and didn't ask if everything looked ok so I didn't have the opportunity to notice or point out it wasn't there. Didn't see a waitress until 20 minutes later to ask for dressing. Chicken on the salad was cold. Waitress was very nice and apologetic and said they would refund my money which I appreciated. I love Logan's, so I wish I could give it a 5 star review! They have the BEST yeast rolls! Since our dining options have been limited with COVID, we have been doing more car side pick ups. The last 2 times I've gone to pick up our food, I have waited 20 minutes in the parking lot for them to bring it out. I forgave the first time it happened, but it happened a 2nd time tonight. They tell you to be there in 30 minutes , and then it takes another 20 minutes to get your food brought out after you arrive. The 2nd time the pickup was at 5 o'clock on a Monday. CHAOS! They need to get rid of the barrel at the entrance to open up the flow of traffic and the host/hostess needs to utilize the desk. They need to look up to the customer instead of down in that blasted iPad. So, that's what led me to suggest to my husband that we eat there tonight instead of driving to Madison. Big mistake we will NOT make again. We waited approximately 25 minutes for our food to come out and then it was cold and looked awful. We had ordered prime rib medium and got well done pieces of more fat than prime rib. When we asked for it to be heated up or something we were told it was because it was so late and near the end of the prime rib. We did get new pieces which looked much better but again were not warm. We accepted this though because we had already been there about 45 minutes at that point. We asked the waitress to speak to the manager about a bill adjustment and, instead of the $10 coupon we were already using, she gave us 25% which only amounted to -$2.00. My husband and I went here to eat on November 5, 2017. We had just lost our home to fire on October 30, so we had no choice but eating out. After horrible service and everything we ordered being wrong, I finally just had my food boxed to go. Later, when I decided to eat, I found a plastic label in my food that had Logan's writing on it, it came off of macaroni n cheese, gross is an understatement. Called and talked to manager who promised a refund and coupons. It's now December 18, 2017 and nothing, would not allow my dog to eat there. Just upset they don't allow negative stars. If I could have given 0 stars I would have. The service was terrible, we had 2 waitresses who visited our table during our full meal. Both had no idea what the other was doing. Restaurant was not busy by any means, it was a Saturday night they were extremely under staffed. Our salads only came out after we asked for them, which was followed by our entrees 2 seconds later. We were given the incorrect item, the grilled chicken had a huge piece of rubbery fat under the skin. The GM came over and took care of it, but was not very apologetic about the service, food or the wait. The broccoli was the only thing cooked well. She didn't even ask us if all of our checks were separate which clearly you could see we were, she brought the check and our boxes after I asked her twice by this time I was not happy myself and then our waitress wanted to get confrontational with myself and another girl at the table and just thought it was hilarious that she had pissed us off. People like that do not belong in customer service or dealing with the public period. I stopped in for dinner with some of my girlfriends for a birthday and I must say I had quite a great experience! Our waitress was named Erin and she did such a great job. The service was prompt, the wait time was short, and the food tasted great. When we told our waitress about one of the girls' birthday, she gathered her team together to tell her happy birthday! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I ordered the prime rib (cooked medium) with a loaded sweet potato and steamed broccoli. The prime rib was cooked to perfection, the sweet potato was soft and warm and had the perfect amount of toppings, and the broccoli was steamed and lightly buttered. This location continues to deteriorate in most aspects. The service was incredibly slow. Although to be fair that was probably to give the kitchen enough time to over cook my wife's steak from medium rare to medium well, convert most of my ribs (including bones) to crispy charcoal and to reduce mY broccoli to a green substance that closely resembled the contents of A Gerber entree. The waitress did offer to fetch a new steak but the first round took about a half an hour so we were more interested in getting on with the evening.
