Stopped by Logan's Roadhouse during a work trip and it hit the spot for BBQ. I ordered the Golden Carolina Ribs, which were flavorful and satisfying. The broccoli was standard, and while I upgraded to the mac and cheese, it was pretty underwhelming and tasted more reheated than fresh. The highlight was definitely the rolls, hot, fresh, buttery, and as good as I remembered. Disappointing experience for a couple of reasons. First, when I got there the restaurant was basically empty with just a few patrons. There was a large group towards the middle of the restaurant and the greeter walked me past multiple free tables to a small table right next to the large loud group. One of them was even charging her phone using an outlet at that table. It just felt like such a strange place to seat me. I understand that they want to keep larger tables free for groups, but there were numerous other small tables and it was just weird to seat me right up under this large group. I asked to be moved and while the greeter hesitated, she agreed. Second.....I ordered a Steak Cobb Salad. Since this is a steakhouse I expected more than 5-6 steak nubs on this big salad (refer to the photos to see what you think...am I tripping?). Anyway, I'll cross this place off my list. My wife and I went there 6:30pm Saturday May 2nd. Less than a 10 minute wait. The server got our beverage order and we each ordered a filet mignon with a loaded baked potato and steamed broccoli. Bread showed up right away. The food came out perfectly prepared! Our soda and iced tea stayed full. It is a busy place with a separate bar area. We saw the server being attentive to everyone in her area. We definitely would return if back in Holland. read more

Our server was stellar! The manager, not so much! We have eaten at this location in the past. Always great service/meal. Today, I got a steamed steak, with 1/2 of it raw. So the manager stepped in... the steak looked like it was microwaved! Smelled awful! The meal was comped. However I was still hungry. So we went to McAllister's. They were great! My family of 5 arrived at this restaurant around 6:30pm on a summer Thursday evening. We were seated at a table immediately, which was great. I appreciated that the tables were pretty spread out and it was pretty noisy, so my 3 kids didn't disturb anyone (we don't do well in quiet restaurants in this phase of life). They brought out fresh from the oven rolls that were very tasty. We devoured the basket of 10 rolls. The kids menu worked well for my kids who are pretty plain Jane eaters. My husband and I both ordered steak - he had sirloin and I ordered a filet mignon. My steak was a bit over cooked from the "medium" that I requested and it was kind of dry. The loaded baked potato and broccoli were both very good, though! My husband quite enjoyed his sirloin and I tried a bite and it was much better than my dry sirloin, so perhaps I just chose a bad cut or should have asked for it to be cooked "medium rare", so that it would be cooked to the right level. Overall, we liked it for our family. I probably would not have chosen it or loved it if it was just my husband and I, but with our 3 young kids, this was a great option for us. read more

Amazing waitress! Very friendly and super attentive! The food was mediocre at best. While the steak was done to my ordered doneness, it was bland in flavor; not even a hint of salt or pepper! We came back after a year away because we were given a gift card. A year ago we weren't impressed but decided to give it another try. There were a few good things! The waitress was great and the rolls are still amazing. My margarita was pretty tasty. Our nachos and queso were good. After that, we were just disappointed. First, the booths by the wall are extremely cold and drafty in the winter. We pulled the blinds ourselves to help a bit with this, but even our legs were cold. Our meals: steak Alfredo - hubby said the steak didn't have much taste to it. My son in law ordered the New York strip and said the same thing. No seasoning. "It's like they unwrapped it and threw it on the grill without prepping it." My daughter had the chicken Parmesan dish which is like rigatoni noodles in a red sauce and a piece of fried chicken breast on top. She said the chicken was dry, and the pasta tasted like it was cooked and just mixed with a jarred marinara sauce, very basic and underwhelming. Moving on to my ribs and chicken strips combo. The (three) ribs weren't bad tasting, but were slightly dry and overcooked. The tenders were also very dry with not much taste. Definitely freezer tenders, not hand breaded. We are not foodies, but we do expect decent tasting, at least average quality food at a sit-down restaurant like this. A couple other slips - we ordered a loaded baked potato with my meal, but it didn't come loaded, and my daughter never got her side Caesar salad until after being served her meal. To top it all off, there was one lady employee, possibly a manager, yelling very loudly through the serving window at the kitchen staff. We were in the back of the restaurant and she was driving us nuts! Is this really necessary? All that said, unfortunately we won't be back even if gifted a gift card. read more

The only good thing was the service. But it stopped there. If you're a POC, the bar area is not a comfortable place to eat. They stare at you as though you're in the wrong side of the restaurant. The sliders were extremely overdone and the corn had absolutely no flavor, mostly consisting of skins. And the potato skins were quite salty. Would not recommend. read more

I have read some of the reviews since- I have never once heard from the establishment... neither has the hotel manager who was also hospitalized. I hope they have certainly improved how they audit the kitchen staff on sanitation and sterilization. read more

First time eating here while my friends and I were on a road trip to MI. The deco and setting of this place is definitely interesting given that you can eat peanuts and just toss the shells right over your shoulders onto the floor. That made it really fun to eat peanuts! To be honest, I haven't eaten much here to have much to say so this review is only first impression here. The food was good and decent price. I had a small steak portion for under $10. Unfortunately, I asked them to cook it "medium well" and it came out too chewy and dry. The vegetable kabobs side option was perfecto however and their rice side was also good. Logan's now has prime rib on the weekend. It advertises slow cooked prime rib, Friday through Sunday, while supplies last. One question: I took my wife Friday at 730 pm and ordered the prime rib and was told they were out already. How do you run out of a weekend special Friday at 730? Management dropped the ball and I was displeased. I had to order a New York strip. It was very good, but that is not the reason I stopped in. I could have had prime rib somewhere else and after the long wait for a table, I was starving. Please, order enough for the entire weekend management. read more

First - totally the wrong order was given to us Second - burnt our food so bad it was inedible as well as not giving us the extra sides that we ordered Third - they left off half the sides that came with the meals.. not even extra sides... just the standard sides... will NEVER order from this place again. Might try in house but i wouldn't even bother ordering from them for pickup or delivery!!! They just don't give a rats butt about their service/quality in filling orders. Great, redeeming experience eating here today visit. Steven was an excellent manager to us during our visit! When we encountered multiple errors with our food tonight such as missing or incorrect items, Steven was quick, very generous and considerate with our dining experience. After all was said and done, Every issue we had was rectified swiftly thanks to Steven and our waitress Carly ( sorry if I misspelled ). We had ordered the shrooms appetizer and it came out smelling extremely burnt. We ate it and it also tasted burnt. Server explained that they were having issues with their oil, which resulted in the burnt taste. Although that was explained to us, they continued to serve us food that were cooked in that same oil, which we mentioned we did not like. They removed the charges of the appetizer for us... We had to ask for it to be removed bc they were going to bring out another batch, which they tried charging us for. The remaining foods that we had ordered did not taste good at all. We had food cooked in that same oil, which resulted in that disgusting burnt taste. The kids ordered steak tips and those were actually burnt but also cold. Odd right? Doesn't make sense to us either. Did not sit well with me that they thought it was okay to serve that to children. Overall, the worst food experience my family and I have ever had. The only reason I gave this review a two and not a one was because the server was doing her job and not being mean. We spoke to the "manager" too but he wasn't very helpful or accommodating. Called the police and had my girlfriend and I removed from the restaurant without talking to us and after we had already ordered our food The police told us we were asked to leave because we did not have masks. I really liked Logans and I realize that this is a trying time for every American. There is no legal authority requiring the wearing of a mask for citizens. Service was excellent Food was good I ordered one of their new steaks a bone in ribeye. They brought me out a porterhouse. I told the server that it was the wrong steak. She had the manager come over. He took the steak and went back to the kitchen. He came out and then said that it was really a bone in ribeye. I showed him how the bones formed a T and that it was clearly a porterhouse. I understand that mistakes happen. I do think a cook should know the difference between a bone in ribeye and a porterhouse. What has made me mad about this entire experience is the fact that the manager on duty, John, stood and argued with me for a number of minutes, trying to convince me that a porterhouse was a ribeye! He finally acknowledged that it was a porterhouse. He asked me if I wanted to have a ribeye, however the rest of the table had already received their steaks, so instead of waiting another 10 to 15 minutes I went ahead and took the porterhouse. What was disappointing was the manager trying to browbeat me into believing a porterhouse was a ribeye. They are distinctive way different cuts of meat. Very disappointing. A shame that the manager on duty instead of acknowledging that an honest mistake been made tried to intimidate the customer into believing that a porterhouse is a bone in ribeye. read more
