Lola Coffee is my new favorite coffee shop in Arcadia! Great service at the counter, as well as a very sweet male employee who came around to tidy up and check in with me as I was reading. Delicious coffee and treats at great prices. Super cute ambiance, with the background noise being just perfect. Sometimes coffee shops tend to forget a lot of people are there working/reading and play the music too loud or it's not the right type of music and can be distracting, but Lola nailed it. Super cute coffee shop off Indian school - great location and parking is usually easy to come by. Their coffee is pretty good but the service is pretty awful. We experienced a very rude barista but maybe she was just having an off day. I love Lola! It's my favorite little local coffee shop because both the coffee and food (Avocado Toast with a fried egg on the side is my jam) are both delicious! The parking lot can be a bit busy at times (mainly weekend afternoons during football season), but if you go on a weekday or weekend morning, it's no problem at all. First time I went here I was impressed by how good the coffee was and the cashier was very nice. Today I went and there was a petite girl working there, she didn't even ask any questions when I asked for an iced coffee usually they ask "would you like whip cream" she didn't say a word. She just charged me and asked for my name. Not only did she put my name wrong on the cup but she seemed to have a bad personality. Coffee is amazing. Most of the barista's have been friendly and accommodating and super nice to get to know. The Arcadia Location has a new young lady and she is not very friendly which is making me not want to patronize anymore. yesterday she made me feel really uncomfortable. She didn't understand my order and made me the incorrect drink I apologized that perhaps I didn't say it clearly enough but I'm in there every day ordering it.She made me the correct drink but was obviously kind of angry about it banging and slamming things around and now like I said I feel really uncomfortable to go back unless I know that she is not there. The first thing I have to say is get the whipped cream on whatever you order, it is magical. Secondly, their drinks are a good mix of traditional coffee and some specialties. I got the matador and, though I don't like sweet drinks usually, I drank every bit of it. The espresso is easily detectable and obviously a good quality. The baristas are friendly and incredibly helpful, which is great because my boyfriend is on the hunt to find the perfect way to make caffeinated chocolate milk without it tasting too much like coffee and the baristas were happy to help. This one is a really open concept plan inside, and the coffee is great ( I typically just get a cappuccino though) they also do make your own breakfast sandwiches. I love Lola, both locations and it's nice to have somewhere to get a Cafe Borgia again (for some reason the downtown location doesn't carry it). I love their pastries and their Spanish tortilla-yummy! The only thing I'm not a fan of is the hours. Closing early on Saturday. There were plenty of customers there enjoying their latte. The weekends are the only times I can enjoy Lola's because of their hours and was bummed to have to leave earlier than I'd intended because of it. Am I the only one who went here for the food? I love the concept of a build-your-own menu. Especially for someone who wants to avoid animal products. You have a choice to make your own burrito, omelette, or sandwich. We ordered a couple burritos and added a bunch of veggies in. There is a lovely long list of plant options: mushroom, tomato, spinach, onions, red peppers, zucchini, basil, jalapeno, potato. I was surprised at how cheap it was! It gets extremely busy on the weekends because it has decent simple breakfast food and the coffee is good. CLOSES AT 4 EVERY DAY. I got here at 3:50 with a backpack and a book to do homework, and 5 minutes after I sat down they said that it was closed. The coffee was $6 for a 12 ounce and was nothing special, I am just irritated that the employee did not let me know they were closing immediately when I was obviously there to do homework and I got stuck paying for an expensive coffee.
