This candy / gelato shop definitely has something for everyone. Chocolates treats like truffles to candy bars and various chocolates from around the world, a huge selection of gummies, cotton candy, other various knick knacks as party favors, along with gelato. They have empty jars where it seemed like you can full them up with any candy they have from bins. We were here during Saturday post lunch and the place wasn't busy (not sure if that's a good thing or bad). PeanutButter cups was seriously good.

There must be something about this location in LG that attracts candy stores because Lolli and Pops replaced another candy store (don't remember the name). L&P has fewer retro candies but more gummies than that place did. There's more choice for gelato too. L&P is a national chain (there's another in Oakridge Mall in San Jose and in Stonestown Galleria in SoSF). It also has an online store worth visiting with more options than the store itself. Recently the online store was advertising Buy 2, Get 1 Free. PEANUT BUTTER CUPS: Yes, I know all caps is shouting but I wanna be sure you know how good these are. Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Peanut Butter Cup -- amazing. Milk Chocolate S'more Peanut Butter Cup -- very good. Milk Chocolate Brownie Peanut Butter Cup -- can I have another? Gummies: Calm down, these are the style you had as a kid, not the adult versions. There's a tube with 12 flavors. They have a decent selection of KitKats from Japan. On a recent visit, I saw tropical mango, matcha, and melon. It's also the only place in the Bay Area that I know of that you can get an Aero candy bar - milk chocolate and dark chocolate bar, filled with bubbles. The staff is young (high school?) and polite but don't seem to know too much about what's stocked. I was curious if any of the rice krispies treats were gluten free but no one knew. There is an entire wall dedicated to many combinations of rice krispies treats. Local kids hang out in the back -- one almost ran us over playing "hide n seek." Did I mention how good the peanut butter cups are?

Came here for a date night treat. Awesome ambiance, everything is overflowing with color, everything looks tasty. Great selection too, there definitely were some gems such as white rabbit candy or really really intense matcha KitKats. A lot of imported candy. Really awesome selection of hand-made truffles. They have ice cream, too, though we did not try. The staff is friendly and helpful but maybe they should know to not put truffle boxes on their side after carefully filling them lol. Everything inside was a mess. The raspberry orange flavor is a weird one, highly recommended.

We were walking by and saw gelato in this store, so we stopped by and saw that there was a happy hour for gelato on fri/sat for few hours so we tried it. Their gelato was pretty good and the shop was cool with all sorts of candies and sweets

So we had a tough time finding parking on a Saturday, however, lucky enough we found a parking spot for 30 minutes! Anyways, we walked in to the cute candy shop and was immediately impressed by their macaron and truffle display! Calling out to all the gummy bear fans out there, they also have these "life time" (refillable for 52 wks) gummy bear tins! They pointed out that if you open up a rewards account with them for the first time, the next time you check out they will give you 1 lb of gummies! When checking out tho, their 2 registers broke down and we were in sort of a rush cause our 30 minute parking spot was expiring. But, I recommend to give this place a visit and exploring the world and flavors of gummy bear land!

Cool shop in Los Gatos. Worker was helpful and pretty good assortment of gummies. If you buy candy in their jars, you can get a refill with that jar for a discount! They gave me a bag of gummies for creating a rewards account :)

As soon as my boyfriend and I walked into Lolli and Pops, we queued up "Pure Imagination" from the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory... and I mean we legit sang the song inside the store walking from one display to the next. I couldn't help it! Lolli and Pops is the confectionery of my dreams. What's crazy, however, is that this location in Los Gatos is apparently considered one of the small franchises... WHAT?! I can't even fathom what a two-story Lolli and Pops would be like, but I'm looking forward to finding out. The selection of sweets at Lolli and Pops is definitely superior! The store has gelato, vintage candies, high end chocolates, different types of sodas, etc. Most importantly, Lolli and Pops has all of my favorite candies. You are allowed to try every single thing in the store--even the packaged items--but be sure to ask the sales associate for assistance. Kinder and Cadbury are the best international chocolate companies, in my opinion, and I was ecstatic to see multiple product lines from each company. I especially squealed when I saw Crunchie Bars. They are the chocolate bars of my youth, but they're unfortunately super hard to find in the area. Rocket Fizz discontinued selling Crunchie Bars, and World Market Cost Plus sells the cookie version. It's a relief knowing that I actually can now get my beloved Crunchie Bars locally again instead of having to wait for my or someone else's next trip to Canada or Europe. I am a s'mores fanatic, so I also immediately fell in love with the store because of the plethora of s'mores and marshmallow products. I'm a huge fan of the gourmet rice krispy treats. I've only seen them at airports and the cruise ship that I was on recently, but I have not been able to find them anywhere locally. I'm also happy knowing that they're available at Lolli and Pops, and they have a pretty sweet deal if you buy two of them. (By the way the s'mores one is my favorite, duh.) Although I didn't get gelato on this visit, I got a couple of flavors to sample. The Banana Salted Saramel tasted like it was freshly made with bananas. The other flavor I tried was the Ricotta Lemon Zest, which was excellent! It wasn't overly tart because of the creaminess of the ricotta. The ricotta also added a unique texture to the gelato. Lolli and Pops has a long glass case of artisan chocolates and desserts, such as truffles, marzipan, fruit tarts, and macarons. I don't typically like truffles, but Lolli and Pops' truffles are on steroids. They're freaking huge. Of course, the s'mores truffles were calling to me, so I purchased one. It was so good. I was expecting it to have the artificially flavored chocolate filling, but it actually had a marshmallow and gooey graham cracker center. I am highly interested in trying the other flavors to see if they're made similarly. Lastly, I experienced overall great customer service at Lolli and Pops. I was helped out today by Alyssa and Jackson, but every sales associate whom we talked to at the store was very nice, friendly, and attentive. I appreciated how Alyssa and Jackson took the time to explain the store promotions and deals. Lolli and Pops has a pretty awesome deal that I totally bought into. If you buy the empty jars to fill up the individual chocolates and candies, every next round of chocolates and candies are half the price when you bring your empty jar back for the refill. For the price and the fine quality of chocolates, this was a no-brainer decision for me. The price may vary on the type of jar you initially purchase though as they come in different sizes and shapes.

While visiting Northern California, my husband and I (along with our girl dog) found ourselves in the tiny town of Los Gatos. We ended up walking in downtown Los Gatos and found ourselves in front of Lolli and Pops (3 doors down from Los Gatos Movie Theatre). An employee outside was giving watermelon flavored gummy bears, which was very good. So I decided to go inside because I was curious if they had boysenberry flavored gummy bears (my husband and our little girl dog sat outside on a bench waiting as I shopped). Sadly they did not and seems that you can only get boysenberry flavored gummy bears at Knott's Berry Farm during the boysenberry festival in Southern California. Anyways, I ended up purchasing: Giant Gummy Teddy Bears, $13/ lb (I did not purchase 1 lb)- I ended up getting 2 large gummy bears (gummy bears are one of my most favorite non chocolate candies). They are just gummy bears, but I really liked them. I got a red one and orange one. Would love to buy them again. 12 Flavored Gummy Bears, $13/ lb (I did not purchase 1 lb)- Some very unique assorted flavors of gummy bears. I really liked the flavors I scooped in my bag. Topped Bars- Special for 3 bars for $30 (prior to tax, normally $12 each per bar). The flavors I ended up getting was Mango & Chipotle, Smoking S'mores, Birthday Cake. The mango & chipotle had salt on one side of the chocolate, which was spicy with the chipotle flavor. Because I do not do spicy foods, I didn't have any and only purchased these for my husband and our 2 friends to try. I did like the birthday cake topped bar with white and milk chocolate and nonpareils. Definitely a pretty bar and perfect sweet treat. The smoking s'more bar was really good as well, with pieces of broken graham crackers and marshmallows. But the marshmallows were a little dry and sticky. I think I would prefer to have fluffy marshmallows and just add them myself if making a s'more. Milk Chocolate Pretzels, $6 prior to tax (but 40% off on this visit)- These small clear containers were on sale and so I decided to get the milk chocolate pretzels. In a small round form of chocolate, inside were bits of pretzels. I liked the bite size pieces, which made for an easy way to eat and enjoy on the go. Prefect sweetness and saltiness. Chocolate Toffee Pistachios, $6 prior to tax (but 40% off on this visit)- Just like the milk chocolate pretzels, these were also on sale that was stored in a small clear container. I really liked how both the chocolate and toffee flavors really went well together, but did cover the pistachio nut flavor. But I still liked these little treats regardless. ------------------------ (Total= $41.23 after tax) Definitely pricey, but I really liked this candy store with the many different fun finds. I am also happy that there are a few Lolli and Pops location back at home in Southern California and plan on visiting in the future. The 3 employees that helped me during my shopping experience were very friendly, especially 1 male who helped answer my questions regarding price. I wished that all of their items were price marked though. Anyways, when you pay, be sure to sign up for reward card. You will receive a hole punch for every $10 that you spend and then be able to get $10 off your next purchase once all the $10 boxes are punched. If you are looking for a fun and unique edible gift, it is definitely worth a visit at Lolli and Pops.

We had to see if they had any, and luckily there was exactly one left! We bought it to have for breakfast the next morning. I'll admit, I was a little nervous because it was packaged in a bag and I wasn't sure how well it would hold up overnight. But the next morning, we basically fought over who was going to get the biggest piece. It was still flaky and delicious, and there was chocolate in every bite. The chocolate was in strips through the middle rather than spread throughout the entire pastry, but there was still enough that we never had a bite without chocolate. It ended up being such a sweet way to start our last day in town. They had so many other pastries and desserts that looked absolutely amazing, but we had just eaten lunch and knew we were heading back out for the day, so we didn't want to risk buying something that might melt in the car. If you're in Los Gatos and love chocolate croissants as much as we do, definitely stop in! And if there's only one left...don't hesitate. Grab it!
