They have had my car there since October 2025. Called, told me my car was ready, charged me $1450.00. Car didn't go 5 miles, back to the shop with same complaint. It is now April 2026, Sparky still has my money and my car. If I want updates, or information, or Sparky's latest excuse, I have to call/text. They don't keep customers informed, and I have no Idea if or when my car is going to be ready. We have had two transmissions replaced with these guys and numerous other repairs. They are honest and do quality work at great prices! I had been taking to dealer or other shops. They found things another shop had broken. For example, One shop located near Lavon had placed antifreeze instead of windshield wiper fluid in my vehicle during an oil change. This caused us to have to replace the pump and hoses. Needless to say, we are so thankful we found Sparky! read more

CVT is a problem tranny. There are no easy fixes. There are no parts available. And because they are all failing, there are no replacement ones available. But, I'm stubborn. I wanted to give this a shot. New fluid, tranny flush, my call. And I wanted someone who has seen tranny issues a lot! They sent me 1st photo that showed a lot of metal debris in tranny. Like I said I'm stubborn. I ask them to proceed. It is a cheap last-ditch try to get another few months from my beloved Elantra Limited. Sparky told me it may last a while, but most likely a lot less than a 'while.!' Well, a while wasn't long enough. But it was NOT because these guys didn't try. And they didn't try to upsell me on another 'fix' that would not fix the issue. I like their real people, working the best they can at doing the best job possible. I went to Lonestar Transmission in Rock with my Transmission leaking some tranny fluid. I had just come half way across the US towing a 5th wheel. I asked them to diagnose the problem and advise me. I waited on the spot and they came back and told me what the problems were. They said it would cost $600 and take about 4 hours but that afterward they would have corrected 90% of the leaking and if I came back another time they would then handle the very small remainder. I sat all day and paid the $600...the leaks were NOT solved one bit! I called to make an appointment to go back and have them tell me why it was still leaking. I showed for my appointment and they told me they didn't have time to look at it then even though I had an appointment. I left upset. Went to another shop in Lavon...they inspected and found the trans pan gasket Loestar had replaced was leaking badly and bolts were loose. They also found two other areas that Lonestar was supposed to have fixed were NOT fixed properly and were also leaking. This place took my $600 and didn't fix anything...they only made it worse really. They wouldn't stand behind their work and were Rude to me on top of everything else...I WILL NEVER RETURN THERE AND I RECOMMEND ANYONE ELSE BE VERY AWARE BEFORE YOU GO THERE!! This is by far the worst and most unorganized transmission shop in the DTX/ Rockwall area. They kept telling me my vehicle would be ready by a certain date then when the time came, they cancelled and said another week. They get nothing done around this shop and they get paid by the hour to sit around and take videos of them revving other peoples cars. I made the mistake of coming to this trashy terrible transmission shop with crappy customer service and I am typing this review to yield others to not waste their time and money at this horrid place. read more

I had one day off work to get flyers out around Rockwall for our fundraiser to help pay for my neices heart transplant. My car started having emmissions issues so it also ended up being the only day I could get a repair before my inspection ran out. The staff was super helpful and rushed getting my car done. I left on foot so they called to communicate each time there was an update. Better yet, they did it at a fair price! Will do business here and send business here again. read more

Lonestar Trasmission is A OK in my book! I was having issues with another company in regards to passing a vehicle inspection. I decided to get a second opinion about so called "required repairs" and called lone star transmission. I spoke with Sparky he was very nice and helpful. I was very happy and impressed with Lonestar Transmission. They picked my car up around 7pm on Monday and it was ready by 4pm on Tuesday.
