I was craving something really unhealthy tonight, and here I am! LOL LJS is my guilty pleasure a few times a year. Hell of a wait tonight for some reason, but I assume they are cooking my order fresh. So I am good with that. However, it is cold AF in here (and I typically like it cold) and the shitty music is way too loud. I wish there was outdoor seating. Receipt time: 8:39 Received food: never! After 30 minutes I went back up to just get a refund. And this is where things took a turn for the worse! After asking the guy, who could not have been nicer, about the refund , it took a good 5 minutes before the manager came up. In the mean time, the guy did bring a box over and asked me what I ordered. He then said he didn't think that was my order and took it back, where a girl just picked it up and threw it away without even looking. Not sure if that was the same girl I witnessed scratch herself under her shirt with her gloves hand. Eventually the manager showed up, and without making eye contact or saying a word, picked up my receipt and said she was going to refund me $14 and some change. I said "except my bill was $17 something". She pointed to my iced tea and said something to the fact I had drank some of it. I said "you're going to charge me for that? Nevermind I'll take it up with my bank". She then adjusted it to the full amount and said she was refunding the full amount. I called her out about not refunding the full amount until I said something she argued with me about that. Until I had to deal with the manager, Mayra she said her name was, I could not have been nicer. She has zero customer service skills. Zero empathy for a waiting customer. Now I'm home and hangry. LOL Sadly, all I can do is never return. Add this to the list of places that I can not visit again and spend my money there in good conscience. Just to start off, I have no idea what LJS other reviewers went to, but it was definitely not the experience that I had. The moment I walked in it definitely was empty, but you can't blame them for it. Other than the atmosphere the place was pretty good. When I went to go order the employee treated me with kindness, elaborating on the menu and items. I got the fish and shrimp platter with some hush puppies and fries for the sides. My only complaint was that the food was super greasy, but sometimes you have to give in to the grease. My time here was short, but the food and service was amazing. I dearly thank Milen for being there for my time of hunger, and giving me a plentiful amount of tartar sauce. read more

I know it may not be conventional wisdom to think of LJS as a gem of a restaurant, but if you're looking for a way to satisfy your chippy craving without giving your hook of an arm, and peg of a leg to Gordon Ramsay for the basic English codfish experience, this place is a godsend. The service here is fast & friendly, thanks to the oversized kitchen it sports. And the ambiance is bright, peppy (thanks to its Best of The 80s music track), and finger lickin' friendly (thanks to Yum's wisdom of collocating two of its best product lines in one bustling suburban location). It takes a bit to get here from the strip, but it's well worth the trip, especially if that's by bus. And for we LV natives who already have a monthly bus pass in our pockets, it's a no-brainer (just take the 202 west on Flamingo to the 120 south on Fort Apache, and get off just before the corner at Tropicana). As of 14 OCT 2025 a three-piece fish, fries, hushpuppies, and a drink meal is $10.99. That's one-third of the price for the same thing GR would fork over to you with a bit of Cockney thrown in... and that's a BIG entertainment value in my book. Ordered my food through the drive through. Ordered the fish with fries combo and then the other order was one piece of fish with six shrimp. Got home and had an order of two pieces of fish with fries and the other order was one three pieces of fish and fries. No receipt in bag. They put cocktail sauce in so they knew what they were supposed to be putting in the bag, shrimp, but did not get that. Googled the phone number. She got a attitude, slamming food and stuff if we pay good money for our food, shouldn't we at least want our food to be the right? They are so unorganized here. Just was an average fast food experience. It's been 10 years or so since i been to one. food was good enough, was on the salty side. They changed the breading since last time i was there. Use to be like a tempora now it's like a heavy batter. The drink and paper towels stations need a little paid attention too. Out of paper towels ect. Pros and cons on this visit. Pros: the fish was hot and delicious. CONS: the reason for the hot fish, is that we had to wait 19 minutes after ordering and reminding the staff that that we were still waiting. There were a lot of people working in the back...apparently there was no management on when to begin a new batch of fish. We ordered 5 pieces of fish and received 4 pieces of fish and one of chicken. I used to go to LJS back east quite often. Had the urge for it recently but could only find one in the area and it was combined with KFC. I wanted to order the fish and chicken platter but was told they had no LJS chicken available so settled for fish and shrimp. They served me KFC coleslaw but couldn't serve KFC chicken? East coast transplants now in Henderson. As the only LJS left in Vegas, I can see why it's so popular! We happened to be on this side of town tonight. The location is a combination with KFC and is BUSY. We got the family meal of fish and was pleasantly surprised that we could choose KFC sides. Food was delicious and hot. The dining area is clean and the staff is nice and works hard. Plenty of parking. We will definitely be back! Thanks for a great experience! read more

Wanted fish and chips and for nostalgia sake, I decided LJS since I haven't had them in years. The shrimp and fish were actually tasty! The lobster bites are horrible!!!! One bite and I couldn't eat the rest of them.. Went for an early dinner around 3pm and each table and seats were filthy so after a few bites I had to take it home.. To top that off, one of my fish was a piece of chicken. C'mon guys get it together. I wouldn't return to dine in but I might go through drive thru.. Again, the shrimp and fish are very tasty! I visited this location today and stood at the counter waiting for assistance for several minutes. An employee acknowledged me by saying "just a second," which was completely fine. However, after that, he continued helping other customers, completed another order, provided sauces, and never returned to assist me. What made the experience frustrating was that when another customer walked up beside me, the employee immediately stopped what he was doing and helped her before even checking back with me. Whether intentional or not, I felt overlooked and disrespected as a customer. I hope management can address customer service consistency so everyone is treated with the same level of attention and respect. Food was good. Im not sure why all the hate for this location. I took the kids last night and it was great. Heres the rundown... Dining room was clean, which i appreciate. You can tell alot about a fast food restaurant by the state of the dining room. Only issue was the dining room ice machine wasnt working. Not a huge deal, they quickly got us ice when we asked for it. They young man who took my order was quiet but read everything back to us and didnt screw it up. While not overly friendly, he seemed like he knew what he was doing and was competent. Food was great. Hot, cooked well... just as i remember as a kid growing up in the 80s-90s. And it was correct with a generous portion. All to often the order is wrong when we receive it, but it was spot on. And this was my Childrens first time experiencing LJS and they liked it. There arent alot left in the vegas valley and im glad this one is still open, close by my location, and serving up hot delicious fish and chips. read more

Classic fried fish, chicken planks, shrimp and hush puppies plus standard KFC sides. This is the only long John silvers location still operating in Las Vegas. Been coming to this location for about 7 years. It isn't corporate owned so LJS coupons and TV ads don't generally apply here and the menu is limited to the basics. However everything usually seems to be cooked to order and is always hot and fresh in my experience. It's nice to be able to get my ljs fix from time to time. Word is LJS is starting to expand locations again around the East Coast and Midwest after nearly going under during the "virus" times so perhaps a full restaurant will come back to Vegas someday. read more

Get rid of all your staff. If I had to guess when they were in back laughing they were probably getting high. 5 minutes waiting to order with no one out front. 20 plus minutes waiting. Staff is joking around while multiple people have been waiting a while. I have been in the food service industry for 30 years now. These aren't the staff members you train and will be able to keep. After driving completely out of my way to get 4 pieces of chicken and 4 pieces of fish for $25 I get all the way back home and I have eight pieces of fish . They're not able to count or they don't know the difference between chicken or fish when I try to call. The lady who took the order what side i want and i said Cole slaw and asked for condiments as well. She then asked me to wait at stall #2. When she delivered the food the condiments and coleslaw were missing and asked me to drive back to the drive thru which I did. She handed me the coleslaw and condiments but the utensils is missing. When we walked in, the dining room was very cold, like usual. We ordered a couple of meals, and it took over 20 minutes to get our food served to us. Unfortunately, every single item on both plates except the French fries were old and cold. The fish, hush puppies, shrimp, boneless chicken, everything was cold and old and terrible almost not edible at all. Speaking of shrimp, what the heck happened? They used to be decent sized! I peeled away the batter off of a couple of them just to see how small they were, and they were the same size as my fingernails, no kidding! Imagine getting shrimp as small as your fingernails! That was completely absurd! Plus, they were cold and hard. I wish I had brought my phone with me so I could have taken a picture. This was by far the worst meal I have ever been served from this location, enough to keep me from coming back ever again. Bye-bye, Long John's, it was nice knowing you when you were good. Since there is only one Long John Silver's in Las Vegas, I drove 21 miles to the location only to be told that they wouldn't take the gift cards because they were Long John Silver's gift cards. They would only take KFC. This is a combined location, so I am not sure about this. Online I checked that location before I went, and it says accepts gift cards! I ordered on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. . Doordash delivered my order and it was only hard hush puppies . When I called the store the employee said they ran out of chicken . I heard him in the manager discussing in the background and the manager sounded confused as to why they sent out the order . When you got on the phone he didn't offer any resolution he just said they were busy and they had ran out of chicken an hour ago . I told him they shouldn't have even sent anything because whyson just hush puppies? I asked him why they didn't take the ability to order the chicken off of doordash and he just said they were too busy . He was very rude the whole time and wound up hanging up on me with no resolution . I had to go to doordash to get my money back . Wow I wish I had read some reviews before ordering food from here. It has been a while since eating at a LJS. You can not order Long John silvers thru the drive through which we thought was stupid. They can do KFC but not the other. I thought it would be a good change I was wrong. We Ordered fish and chicken. And for the sides got mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The sides were KFC sides and they were good. The fish and chicken seemed different than it use to be. Seemed a little more greasy than it use to be. Just did not taste fresh. I use to be a fan of LJS and always enjoyed their food. It's a shame because there has been a few that closed down in the past. Really wish I had checked in before he went in to order.
