Every year we come up to Show Low, always give wong longs another try, the worst service we have every had again. We arrived early got a drink, our friends arrived and it took him 30 min before he came over to take their drink orders, he took our orders another hour wait to get our food. I would not of been so upset for the wait but everyone else who arrived after us got their meals. He was clearly ignoring us. Only when we threaten to leave did they bring our food. Another 30 min wait to get the bill. Finally hubby went up to the bar to pay, Bill was 25.59. He gave the bartender 30.00, ask for his change and the bartender said he didn't have any change. My hubby said he did not have exact change. The bartender turned his back on him. So he set down 24.00 and we left. There was no way in hell we were tipping him, and his horrible service. Place was kinda circa 1960 typical bar/restaurant. One waitress for the entire bar and outside seating area, service was extremely slow! Ordered an appetizer and was served with the thinnest, cheapest paper plates I've ever seen....wth? Their menu claims they are offering Baby Back Ribs, I've been eating BBR's for over 45 years. The ribs they served tonight we're definitely NOT BBR's. These were nothing more than regular pork ribs, slightly overdone with not enough BBQ sauce. I did ask for some extra sauce, it never came? The ribs were tough and very chewy. Waited for drink refills....never came? All in all save yourself the headache and find a different restaurant. We will never eat here again. We have a house here in show low and come up a couple times a year. We have had one here for 50 years. We eat here when we can. But I don't know about them anymore. We were waiting for a seat for at least 30 minutes but the staff would not seat us even though there were 5 open tables because according to her they had too many to go orders. So I guess in their minds it was Better to have us standing outside waiting for a table rather than waiting to sit down. We are just outside of 60 years old standing around outside. What a great place! We have been here twice and both times had the Philly Cheese Steak, salad and great craft beer. The outdoor seating is with a view to a beautiful wooded area. I'm giving it a 3 for now, but I would hope to try this place again sometime. I think it's much better than I experienced, I just did not have the best experience. We came for takeout & after being told it would be 20 mins or so, it was a good 45 mins later that we got it after waiting. That was no big deal as the place has such a nice quirky atmosphere, we didn't mind taking it all in. The food was good. The onion rings were delicious & loved the potato skins, especially the ranch dressing, which was seasoned perfectly. So glad we ordered that& could make a meal if it because the 2 dozen buffalo wings we got were just cooked wings with no sauce! We ordered medium sauce buffalo wings & I guess they don't actually prepare them in the sauce, they give you plain naked wings with the sauce on the side? We only got one small container of a neon orange sauce (amounted to 2-3 tbs) for 24 wings. Not what we expected at all for an order of buffalo wings. We ended up not eating them that night as planned, but took them home the next day for dinner & made some actual buffalo sauce for them. They would have been great if they cooked them in the sauce as most places do. The chicken was very good quality, so very disappointing they were not sauced or seasoned. I'd try this place again tho. I've had good food experiences including wings and the most amazing red chili con carne fries on the planet.
