    Burger.

I've become a big fan of the Longhorn over the years. Part dive bar, part amazing burger joint, this place rarely disappoints when I'm in the mood for a casual dinner with some good beer to go along with it. Plus, it's usually less busy than some of the other nearby food/beer joints (although parking, especially on a busy weekend, can be an issue). Besides tasty, juicy burgers (my favorite is the Western), they also have a nice selection of salads, fish and chips, and even fresh oyster shooters (with or without vodka). There's a full bar, and a pool table to give the place a little extra atmosphere. On warm summer nights, you can even sit outside in their slough-side beer garden. The service here is always friendly and fast. It's a great place to meet up mid-way with my Bellingham friends for a nice dinner and a walk around sweet little Edison, too.

What can I say. We love this place. Service is always good and the food is the bomb. Had a burger with hot fries. Look forward to going back.

Once again, an excellent lunch today at Longhorn Saloon and Grill. First rate quality and service. Clean and lots of local brews and cider on tap. Everything I've tried here has been delicious. Definitely not uber trendy but comfortable and affordable.

As we wander in on a New Year's Day A funday, it's Sunday. The screwdriver is a truly proper pour. The pool table is level, true and more. But still that is not what brought us here on the first of the year. The Cajun Stew... is why we're here, prawns, oysters, Cod, sausage in a tangy sea-water broth served at a portion for two. Highly recommend

On our way back from Bellingham we took a side road and went thru the town of Edison. It was a beautiful day, so we decided to drop by the Longhorn Saloon. This is a great small town saloon and has a nice area to sit in the sun in the back. There is a food menu available, although we did not order anything but it looked like they had a nice selection. A good selection of craft beers and also lighter beers if you like that better. Atmosphere had a small town feel with great conversations, people having a nice time and staff who were helpful and provided good service.

Being treated to Chuckanut Manor is starting to be a tradition for me. This is my second time to…read morethis wonderful place. The first was my birthday last year, chosen by a friend (I'd never heard of it). This year I was asked where I wanted to go. I did not hesitate to say here! I couldn't be anything other than delighted in my decision--from the pleasantness inside, the wonderful view from our window, the delightful staff and the incredible food and drinks, this place is wonderful. Lucky me that my birthday was on a Wednesday so I could be totally influenced to have oysters-on-the-half shell due to a generous Wednesday night special. I do love raw oysters--and these were so tiny and briny and so incredibly good, I could have eaten five dozen! (I am kicking myself for not finding out what kind they were, but no matter. I would be happy with any they are serving here, I am sure.) I had already planned on having the Oysters Rockefeller (known here as Manor Rockefeller), and so, despite having just downed some oysters, I went ahead anyway and am glad I did! They were wonderful. And there was no real reason for me to pause for a moment in my decision, having already had oysters, because these were soooooo different. It was almost like eating a delicious oyster casserole in a shell. The Mediterranean Mussels were wonderful! (Notice, I was having a dinner of appetizers...) The broth they came in was beautiful (and drinkable, if one were so inclined). I loved the surprising tastiness of the Mama Lil's Peppers swimming around in it. At first I wondered if they would be too hot and compete with the flavor--overwhelming it--but no! Not at all. They were a perfect and flavorful touch. Absolutely wonderful. (And having said that, I know that "pepper heat" is an individual thing--I can tolerate a goodly amount, fyi--I just didn't taste these as hot at all.) Our server, Drew, was immensely helpful (and always charming!) He paired our food with a delicious wine. I guess we would assign my bowl of clam chowder to the dessert category--very thick and creamy--along with a lovely after-dinner cocktail, made by the wonderful and delightful bartender, Sherry. She made me a lovely mocktail to start--I asked Drew to have the bartender just make something up on a whim. It was pretty, colorful and delish with what in it, I have no idea. But, not only was it delectable, it was a vision! All festive and fuchsia, with a "bartender's cherry," and a hot pink umbrella. When I learned Sherry made it, I was so happy because I remembered her from last year--very skilled and very fun to chat with. A wonderful birthday--I highly recommend the Manor.

It was delicious, but for the smaller portions of fish, I felt it was a bit overpriced compared to other fish and chips I've had for cheaper and with larger portions of fish. My friend ordered the Ground Chuck Cheeseburger with Bacon and Fries. It was juicy and a filling choice. The main draw of this restaurant is definitely the amazing views that almost everyone reviewing this restaurant mentions. Plus, the fact that there really aren't a lot of restaurants to choose from in this area. I think the next time I dine here I would try to time it during their Happy Hour or Brunch, which they claim is "the best".

We had several grilled oysters, shrimp, geoduck (my first time!) and some raw oysters to top off a mid-afternoon snack. We all grabbed a drink, including a pinot freezio, which is something I NEED to learn how to make. It was a pinot grigio slushie! While I normally think the grilled oysters up north are a bit better, today they were out of this world. The raw ones were fantastic and although I do usually prefer a few more accoutrements, it was nice to have only simple lemon with them - no vinegar or hot sauce that day, for some reason. Geoduck is something every non-PNW person asks you about and I can finally say I've had it - I say go eat it because you'll not have anything like it. It was a ceviche style snack and it wasn't rubbery or fishy at all. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to say they ate the massive mollusk. It's off the side of Chuckanut drive down a pretty steep and skinny hill, so take care. Parking can be tough during peak season but it's worth the drive. Thei views are gorgeous and there's something eating fresh seafood next to the water, looking out over the bay. I can't wait to take the next group of friends that visit!

I find that pretentious. We said no..... she didn't respond in any way other than to grab 4 menus and walk us to our table. She walked into the kitchen which was directly across from our table and said in an irritated voice, "we have a 4 top walk in." We sit quite a while longer before anyone emerges.
