Friday night 5:45. Reservations. Seated promptly. Approached immediately by server. Let me start out by saying the service was the best we've probably ever had. Timing of the meal was absolutely perfect. Drinks were refilled numerous times. Dishes promptly cleared. Additional bread offered and brought out in a timely manner. Check brought out exactly when it should have been. Literally, not a single misstep in service. The food was also delicious. As with most Greek owned restaurants, virtually everything came with both soup and salad, with warm bread served on the table. Something you almost never see these days. I had chicken Marsala, subbed linguini for rice ($5 upcharge). A little pricey for a substitution, but not the end of the world. Hubby had a steak sandwich, which was great. Other couple had the Greek style halibut (cooked to perfection), and a chopped steak, which desperately needed some gravy (it was dry). The soups were served hot, and the salads were nicely chilled. Surprisingly not crowded on a late Sunday afternoon. No reservation but we got seated quickly. Ordered up some drinks and appetizers and in not much time we had them. Please review all of my photos as everything is photographed. The calamari was perfectly cooked and I have to say that the pieces were large, yet not rubbery. Seemed like they were short staffed because our waiter was tending bar and the usual waiter stuff. Our baked French onion soup was delicious but our salads came after our meal was on the table. Our waiter apologized. You still have to see our entrees, check out the photos. My liver and onions was perfectly cooked, the prime that my wife had was also perfect. The cook staff knows what to do just have to adjust the table timing. Our waiter checked on us several times and got us a second round of drinks at the right time. We've been to Jameson in Huntley and here in Woodridge and still I'm impressed with the consistency and quality. We had a very relaxing wonderful meal with spectacular service. I ate dinner this afternoon at this restaurant for Christmas dinner. I ordered a steak with fried shrimp and when the plate was delivered to my table it was almost laughable. The steak was so SO well done, chewy and SMALL. The coat of the dinner was $32. It was Christmas and very busy restaurant waited 1.5 hours for our food. Still have the steak in the take out box. Normally this restaurant has great food but I think they couldn't handle the crowd. read more

Changed potato skin # per order and lied about it when all other locations have the right amount per order. We were torn as usual on what to eat so we just drove and decided here and so glad we did! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by staff and patrons smiled as they past you. The entire staff was attentive and pleasant. Our waitress was amazing and joked with us, checked on us to see how we were enjoying our meal, refreshed drinks and brought bread without asking. Because who says no to their delicious warm bread and whipped butter? The place was clean and plates were picked up and tables cleared Immediately. No one was in a rush or moving slowly and it no chaos. Everyone seemed to enjoy being there and so friendly. TVs around the bar displaying sports and the Olympics, not overly loud. After my initial review for Jameson's Charhouse, I returned to the restaurant twice. Both times were a disaster and I won't be back. Our server was extremely nice both visits (we had the same waiter) but the restaurant is so disorganized. We had to wait over an hour to receive silverware - our salads sat in front of us for a half hour since we didn't have forks (looking back we should've used our hands). We were in the restaurant well over 2 hours due to the slow service. Other reviews seem to blame the new ownership and I can understand why. It's too bad because the food is really good but not worth the hassle. read more

Kind of disappointed. I'd give 2 1/2 stars. Not sure if all locations are like this, but disappointed with the food and cocktails. We thought we'd try it, since the meals come with soup and salad. You are given a small warm loaf of bread. It was not bad. I ordered an Old Fashioned, but it seemed watered down. I expected better since it seems like it is a standard cocktail option on their menu. We both ordered a salads, which must be premade in bulk and stored in a fridge. They were both seemed wilted and were really small portions, we did not bother eating them. We both got the chicken soup. It was a broth soup which seemed homemade. It was just ok. I got a prime rib special that came with mashed potatoes. The steak was very good, but the potatoes, although were fresh had so many skins in them, it was half potatoes and half skins. My wife got the Chick Marsala. Even though it it physically did not look pretty, she said it was not bad. Sorry I'm not sure we will go back. read more

My Bride, Don, Brother in law, and Sister in law sat down last night for our New Year's Eve Dinner at Jameson. Packed is not the word for the turnout. The staff was going well above what was required, they were magnificent. Mia our server, without a doubt put on twenty miles just in the time we were eating. Now for the food. Five ***** stars, Spectacular. My Bride had the steak and fried shrimp. The steak was cooked to perfection as was my Son's steak. I enjoyed the prime rib immensely. My Sister in law has the London broil medallions and Brother in law had a steak. They both stated their meal was fantastic. This was our first time at Jameson. They are back up to par. They offer delicious soup which is perfect on a misty, damp, cold winter night. The bread is probably the best I have ever been served at a restaurant. They offer daily specials and the soup also is rotated. Parking is a nightmare. The legs on the booths are funky and located right as you start to slide in. There is no comfortable way to get your feet situated and leaving can be a bit of a hazard. They have changed their menu so question if you are ordering what you used to order. My chopped salad had no corn (which is listed on the menu) and walnuts (not listed on the menu and an allergy concern). While my husband was enjoying his delicious burger, I was hunting for and removing said walnuts. Personally, we have found that it is best to stick to meats and salads, fish is not their forte. Also, I highly recommend you make reservations ~ gets very crowded on weekends. read more

Came here a few years ago and wasn't a fan. Tried it again on new years eve to give them a 2nd chance. Ordered the ribeye which was fantastic. Got a soup, salad, side of brocolli and a 28oz bone in ribeye cooked perfectly. A lot cheaper then a lot iof other steak houses Def reccomend now. read more

Looking and smelling on the outside makes you want to walk in. Whenever you're in, it looks nice good atmosphere nice layout. I only went there the one time yesterday the 17th I can't really blame it on the kitchen that my food looked like it had been sitting underneath the heat lamp for a good amount of time we sat down ordered potato skins as an appetizer and for the entrée we ordered a burger and fettuccine Alfredo three tables sat down within a half hour after us and still got their food before us. I did not like the service. The food did have a good taste. I'm pretty sure it would've been better coming out whenever it was supposed to, but they were too worried about filling up our drinks instead I tipped what I thought was right for my experience. There was an elderly gentleman who seriously opened up the checkbook Came over and asked me. Why are you only tipping five dollars? I understand walking up to the table and asking how my meal is or was but to open up the check and come over after the service basically that old man has some big meatballs. I honestly can't even express how disappointed I was with this meal - and quite frankly embarrassed that this is where we chose to take my mom for mother's day. We started our meal with soup and salad. The soup was basically water. My fiance wouldn't even taste it because it looked so vile. The "salad" was a plate of wet iceberg lettuce with a side of watered down ranch in a PLASTIC CUP. Spending $30 on a meal - a plastic container is a joke. My mother and I ordered chicken Marsala and my fiance ordered a ribeye. The chicken Marsala was NOT chicken Marsala. It was chicken in thick dark mushroom gravy. My baked potato was hard as a rock. My fiance spit out bites of his steak because it was nothing but fat. The ribeye was plopped on a blank plate. No garnish, sauce. Just a slab of meat on a plate. I will also mention it took an hour from the time we ordered to get our food. When it came time to get the check out waiter was nowhere to be found. When the owner realized we were waiting for our check instead of coming over to help, he began screaming at our waiter who was with a different table. Inappropriate on its own, but he was CALLING THE WAITER THE WRONG NAME. Our sad mostly inedible meals cost us $140 before tip. In addition, there was a special mother's Day menu which was beyond disappointing. If you're limiting your menu - 1. That should 100% be advertised on your website 2. Decent value where you can get soup, salad, bread, and a steak meal under $20. It was decently busy when we went. Our server was very friendly. It's more of a family dining area than a relaxing sophisticated date night. I felt like I was at a chili's. I tried their special of the night: pork roast. It came with a lot of food. I wish more gravy was on it and the potatoes. I wasn't impressed with the roast but that could be personal preference. I was hoping it was more shredded or fell apart more easily. Shame on Jameson's Woodridge! The Easter menu posted on their website was not the same as the one presented at the restaurant. Way too many items inked out. Ordered lamb with roasted potatoes and vegetables The entree came with mashed potatoes and no vegetables. Asked the server for my vegetables but was told it was either potatoes OR vegetables although that is not what the menu said. I picked Jameson's Charhouse for my birthday dinner. Sometimes I pick, and sometimes Virgilio picks but I wanted to give this place a try and Virgilio never seemed keen on the idea. When we arrived and were still in the parking lot Virgilio commented about how good it smells here. Yep, the smell of beef cooking permeated the air. It was 9pm on a Friday and most folks have already dined and left which is perfect for me. I appreciate the atmosphere of the restaurant and it's all the better when it's quieter so we can hear each other and enjoy our time together. We started by ordering drinks, I ordered the Snickertini chocolate martini and Virgilio ordered an American Mule. I loved the martini and Virgilio enjoyed his Mule enough to order another. Along with drinks we had the Fried Calamari which was lightly battered and cooked perfectly. It doesn't look that appealing which I believe is due to the restaurants choice in service wear, it's stark white and nothing seems to look quite as good against stark white. The waitress seemed to be pushing things a little as she appeared with Virgilio's soup before the drinks or calamari arrived, and appeared with the calamari before the soup was finished. And when the calamari was half finished I predicted she would appear with our salads and she did. Maybe because they close at 10pm and she wanted to get out on time, I don't know but it wasn't what I would have expected. At any rate, the salad was pretty lame. It had mixed greens and shaved carrot and dressing. A small step up from a Wendy's salad, well sort of. Wendy's would include croutons in their house salad. Gee this sounded bad but it's what it was. The main course was quite good. I was very pleased with my steak, it was cooked perfectly medium rare, juicy and tasty. The baked potato was perfect and flavorful and the asparagus was also quite good. Virgilio had the Salmon which he enjoyed. The salmon came with a glaze and was also char grilled. In summary, for me the atmosphere was a five, in considering price our entrees were a five, the salad a one, the soup a three, and the drinks were a solid four stars. The service was good if not for being rushed. If the waitress had brought our or food without trying to rush it, I would have been quite pleased with the service. Due to the salad and service I dropped the rating to three stars, though the food otherwise was worthy of four stars at least. For the money, we spent $101 including a total of three drinks. Considering we were served an appetizer, soup, salad, two sides and an entree that's a pretty reasonable price. The quality of the main meal was quite good. read more

I am not sure whyyy we are sooo last minute when we decide where to eat and celebrate any occasion, there have been a Christmas Day, New Years and other occasions aside from Mother's Day ( yesterday ) that we decided to go to Jameson's and have been accommodated without a reservation. I think we have just been really lucky and get here when it's not as busy however, Jeff the manager is accommodating. We were seated in 5 mins ( bar area ) and although they were so busy... Jeff had a smile on his face and personable. Our server Chris was accommodating with my daughters food restrictions Katie, our bartender is always friendly as well As always, everything was delicious Chicken and rice soup Salads Crusted sea bass 28 oz bone in rib eye steak Shrimp marinara linguine Plus beers, martinis and wine Our bill ( 3 people ) was $148 + tax + 20% tip Not bad at all and we have leftovers We never ever feel rushed dining here, even if they're extremely busy Which is a huge plus in my book BTW I saw Jeff helping an older African American lady with a walker, to the bar area -- while it's crazy busy... We enjoyed our dinner. The restaurant was decorated nice for the holidays. The bread was yummy. Our waitress or the staff kept filling our water and asking if we needed anything else to drink. We liked the soups, fried cheese and spinach artichoke dip. All 6 of us got steak (ribeye, filet and pasta with steak).They were all cooked to our liking. The soup and salads were good. It's nice that it comes with do much food. The waitress said chicken and rice soup but it was chicken and orzo(luckily we did not need gluten free). If you order wine, make sure to say which brand you wanted, otherwise your Riesling wine that you thought were $7 will end up being over $20 more than you expected. The tiramisu drink was good but didn't taste like tiramisu. The sniktini drink no on at our table cared for it. They thought maybe the keg room door was left open. They comped me 1 of the 2 beers at least. Ordered an 11 oz filet medium rare. For $39.95! Not even prime. It was usda choice. Man, this visit to Jameson's was a cluster eff from the beginning to the very end. I ordered for take out a Jameson's Special Cut. I was proud of myself for working hard on my second job and I thought to treat myself to a steak. I grabbed the bag from the server when my food was ready, went to liquor to pick me up some IPAs to wash it down and went home. I LOVED the aroma of the chargrilled steak in the car. It made me hungry. What I didn't know was the steak burned a hole in the container. The juices of the steak in the container flowed out of the burned hole into the bag. And needless to say, it made the bag leak and break apart. My food fell on the ground before I got into the house! Everything was fine in their containers except the steak. By chance not only did it fall out of the bag, it bounced out of the container onto the ground!!! I really didn't want to deal with this after working 9 hours! Look at the pic! The food itself, well lemme tell ya. I expected A LOT more from a steakhouse, especially after I give close to $50 for a meal for one person. The meal came with soup, salad, bread, a veggie, and I chose steak fries. A lot of food. The salad was sad. The ingredients were just shredded carrots and lettuce. Look at the pic! The soup was cream of chicken & rice. It was just cream. Look at the pic! Look at the scoop of the soup. There is nothing in it! The stars of this show: the bread & the steak fries. Well, it is very hard to mess that up. The steak that fell to the ground. If you ever order the Jameson's Special Cut make sure you hook up with a personal trainer for about two months before you cut into it because that is how tough it was. I lift weights and it felt like I was in my strained 10th rep of a max weight trying to cut into this steak. Flavorful, yes. Tough, chewy and fatty...yes, again. I wish I had a dog because he/she would have loved the bone and fatty pieces left behind by this steak. I did mentioned that this was take out, right? Well, what am I suppose to wipe my mouth with because I received no napkins??? And what am I supposed to eat this with since no utensils were supplied??? Well, trust me, no plastic anything was cutting through that steak. I'm glad I came home and not to a hotel. Out-of-towners beware!!! Was there a few days ago and was so disappointed. Our favorite bartender Katie was fired right in front of us. Very unprofessional. The new manager is terrible and the place is going downhill. Loved going there in the past the food is not as good as it used to be except for the soup and bread. Will not go back for a while and hopefully they will straighten out the manger situation.
