Longhorn has decided single diners do not deserve tables! On Fri 30 Jan, I entered at approx 4pm (dinner service starts at 3:30 according to their website). The two young men at hostess stand told me I could wait 20 mins to be seated or eat at the bar counter. The couple who entered before me were immediately seated. I was told they only had 1 waitress on duty and I would have to wait for another one to show up for her shift. How is this your customer's burden? Needless to say I left. I came in the Saturday after Thanksgiving craving my old go-to meal that I used to order all the time. Even though it's no longer on the menu, the team was still able to make the pairing for me: a 6oz filet with Parmesan-crusted chicken, broccoli, and sweet potatoes. Everything was cooked to perfection--just how I remembered it. This was my first time trying the Bowie location, and it did not disappoint. My entire order was correct, and my steak came out medium-rare exactly as requested. Huge props to the chefs in the back! The bartender, Ben, was very personable and checked in often to make sure I was taken care of. I ordered the dragon fruit margarita, and it was incredibly refreshing. I don't typically leave negative reviews because I understand that mistakes happen. I work in customer service myself, so I know firsthand that every interaction is different, every customer is different, and everyone deserves a little grace. However, today's experience at LongHorn Steakhouse was disappointing enough that I felt compelled to share it. I'm a regular customer and intentionally spend my money in my community because I believe in supporting local businesses and the people who work in them. That's why experiences like this are especially frustrating. I placed a carryout order and, before leaving, specifically asked the food runner for extra salad dressing and an additional dipping sauce for my chicken tenders. To make sure everything was taken care of, I even asked, "Am I good?" She responded, "Yes." Based on that, I assumed the requested items had been added. After returning to work, I discovered the extra dipping sauce wasn't included. Because of that oversight, I had to leave work and drive back to the restaurant. When I returned, instead of simply correcting the mistake, I was told I would have to wait because the employee was entering another customer's order. Respectfully, that didn't sit well with me. The only reason I was back was because my original request hadn't been fulfilled. Correcting that mistake should have been treated with some urgency. What made the situation even more confusing was that the bartender--who recognized me as a frequent customer--stopped what he was doing, grabbed the dipping sauce, and handed it to me while continuing to take care of his guests. If someone whose primary responsibility is tending the bar could resolve the issue in a matter of seconds, why couldn't the employee whose responsibility is handling carryout orders do the same? Customer service isn't about being perfect. It's about taking ownership when mistakes happen and making the customer feel valued. Instead, I was made to feel like correcting the restaurant's mistake was an inconvenience. This isn't about a cup of dipping sauce. It's about accountability, attentiveness, and respect for your customers' time. Those are the things that keep people coming back. I genuinely enjoy LongHorn and hope management, including Mr. Kyro Faust, takes this feedback as an opportunity to coach and develop the team. I'm gonna start this to say we drove 30 mins away to come to this one because it had 4stars compared to the 2 that our neighborhood longhorn had. Big mistake. we went for dinner around 8 on Friday 7/10. we were sat next to a table who was already having issue so we should've know what to expect. We were sat within 10 mins and greeted by a sever within 5 so that was fine, but that was where the good experience ended. we each ordered a drink, and old fashioned and a Texas tea. It took 30 mins to get the old fashioned and additional 20 to get the Texas tea. The tea tasted like it had no alcohol. I keep breast milk strips in my purse and tested it. Alcohol free. Crazy to pay all that money and wait all that time for a cup of Sour mix. we had to ask our waiter for silverware after getting our apps, which her never brought. We got our food, my order was wrong. But given how long everything was taking I was just going to eat it. unfortunately we still couldn't eat because we didn't have silverware, and asked the host. The host came back 2 mins later to tell us they had no silverware and would have to roll some. It would be 10 mins to get silverware after we had already been there for an hour and had to eat our apps with our fingers. we asked the host to just ask our waiter to come out so we could just go. When he came out he was surprised we didn't have silverware as if we never asked him. I told him we wanted a box and my order was wrong. Instead of bringing me a new meal, they recooked my food, causing my meat to no longer be the temperature I wanted it. it took him another 20 mins to bring the check and boxes. didn't Even bother asking for a manager because I sure that would've taken another hour. It seemed like the only people getting decent service were the big parties in the middle of the floor. the service in the section by the host stand beside the bar was absolutely terrible. in Addition to our bad experience we heard from two other tables of guests there Talking about how bad everything was. When I arrived, there were four open seats at the bar, yet I was turned away. The bartender, Ben, casually told me that two of the seats were "occupied," even though he said he had not seen those customers for quite some time. Despite the visible open seating, he refused to clear or make the seats available. A few moments later, Ben allowed a couple to sit down at the bar, but still would not clean the remaining open seats. It gave the impression that he was hoping the situation would simply resolve itself rather than taking the time to clean and manage the bar area properly. The surrounding area did not look well maintained either. Several high-top tables in the bar section were left uncleared for an extended period. I waited around 30 minutes, and during that time more high-top tables under Ben's section remained dirty and unattended. Overall, the customer service was extremely disappointing. The bar area looked unkempt, the seating was poorly managed, and the bartender's indifferent attitude made the experience even worse. Horrible location. Came in because I was in the area. Quite busy, but to be expected on a Sunday with families I guess. Hostess said that the wait for 2 would be about 30 minutes. Saw an open table in the bar area, so we sat there. She gave us menus and settings. While sitting there for over 20minutes without so much as a head nod from the bartender to even acknowledge we were there, she stayed behind the bar THE ENTIRE TIME. Realizing I wouldn't be getting served any time soon, I ask the hostess who's supposed to be serving us. She confirmed it would be the bartender behind the bar. Then the manager comes out, Victor. I expressed the sequence of events to which he kept replying, "oh, it's okay... oh, they're just a little busy.... Oh if you can wait a little it'll be okay" .... Etc etc. To that, I suggested that his bartender and hostess could use some support.... From him... and again he said "they're fine" .... but they're not. People were complaining about being told 30 minutes for the wait and going on an hour, etc. This location needs a COMPLETE overhaul. The location is set up to fail. The were big groups of people coming in. Whoever set the schedule dropped the ball on this one my food was still good it was a bit cold. Been here 5 times over the past 8 years...two of them being this year. Never had a bad meal and service has always been great! The outlaw ribeye, Caesar salad,the cheesecake, wings...this place is as solid as they come! We ordered takeout for the family for Sunday dinner and either that steak matched up to Del Frisco's or I've been on my strict diet way too long...a little bit of both! I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday lunch today with my mom at LongHorn Steakhouse #5174 at Bowie Towne Center, and the entire experience was absolutely fantastic -- thanks in large part to our incredible waitress, Emily Marino. From the moment we were seated, Emily stood out. She was warm, friendly, and engaging without being overbearing. Her timing was perfect -- always nearby when we needed something but never hovering. It's clear she has mastered the art of attentive service. She made us feel welcome, valued, and completely at ease, which really elevated our lunch into something special. Our drinks were refilled before we even had to ask, the food came out quickly and was exactly as ordered -- hot, fresh, and delicious. But what truly made the visit memorable was Emily's genuine personality and professionalism. Both my mom and I felt compelled to tell her directly how great she is at what she does. She's a gem, and LongHorn is lucky to have her! In December the 22nd 2025 my had decided to take me out for my birthday the 60. We arrive at 6:30pm. To the point we order our which was 2 outlaw steaks and one hamburger. Plus side was fries and broccoli. Why did we end up with fries and rice. The hamburger no cheese. Well they tried 3 times on the hamburger we gave up after third came out cold. The restaurant is dated, and they are struggling still; you can tell they are short staff, but the worst was some of their staff's "bothered to be at work" attitude. Half the restaurant was empty, and we were crammed in the half of the restaurant they were sitting customers. It was uncomfortable, but our server made up for it. I havent had Longhorn since i was in middle school (literally 20 years ago), but after a glowing review I saw on insta, i said why not try em out. Sat at a high top near the bar and waited probably 10minutes to even get acknowledged by anybody and it wasnt even that busy. Server/bartender was straight forward, kind of rushy. I ordered a ribeye with blue cheese on top, side of loaded baked potato and mac and cheese. The Bonanza Cabernet I got was delicious and she filled that glass to the top- i was shocked.. maybe it was to compensate for my wait? Anywho my ribeye was fattyyyy. I see why they charge what they do.. but also, admittedly, I'm probably spoiled by only eating steak from higher end steakhouses. I would order a filet here next time just to see.. The baked potato was standard. The mac and cheese was surprisingly good. It was the best thing i had that evening. I would try them again but probably sit at the bar or in the main restaurant. My brother, driving from Columbus, OH, relied on my selection of LongHorn Steakhouse. First time for me at any LongHorn. My neighbor recommended it as being the best near us so that is why we went. There was maybe a 15 min wait but enjoyed talking to others while waiting in the unusually warm weather. We had a server who had way too many tables and too much to do but he was very pleasant. My Brother and I went here today for what we thought would be a nice steak dinner, but boy were we mistaken. The steaks were so tough that the steak knives had challenges cutting through them. I asked our server for a sharper knife and she said they are all about the same, so asked for one anyway, and she was right. I stopped using the new one and went back to the old one. I told her the steak was really tough and she just stared at me as to say, what do you want me to do about it. We still ended up waiting 40 additional minutes for 2 kids sirloins and fries. The kids became restless, my son didn't even want the food anymore after waiting so long. They weren't super busy I'm not sure what the issue was. We asked if we could dine in since we ordered the food via phone but we couldn't eat the Sardi's inside. This place is a bang for your buck!! Cowboy/western Decor that gives you a calm energy. Affordable eats and drinks are my go-to's when wanting something quick. Mind you the food is delicious and well prepared. I was able to indulge in the Margarita which was only 5.99 during lunch time.. then boom I ran thru a few jack and coke which was only 4.99.. I've been living in the Bowie area since 2006 and up until last year, had only ever visited this restaurant once, with family. I recall not being overwhelmed, but that it was decent and the prices were competitive with similar establishments, like Outback or Smokey Bones. Fast forward to last year, around this time and I found myself missing the 'local watering hole' I used to enjoy with places like Glory Days (which was my favorite, though I discovered it only a few years before it closed, sadly) or the Greene Turtle (also closed, tho rumored to be opening up further into Waugh Chapel Town Centre) but they are no longer with us. Started going to the Outback that was on Race Track Road in Bowie but that shuttered too, and moved to the Waugh Chapel area. Mind you, it isn't that much further, but it is "out of town". Same with the Ruby Tuesday's in Greenbelt; a decent bar and restaurant for a chain, but still "out of town". Killarney House in Davidsonville is still a stellar place, just a little too far to drive home from if I've tied on a few, as it too is "out of town". So, I was hunting up a new spot and decided to give this place another try. Thanks to the pandemic, I have a regular lunch partner in my wife and so I get the opportunity to bounce experiences between us- just to make sure that I'm not off the path, so to speak, about how good (or bad) a given place is. Since we've been looking for a watering hole, we typically avoid the dining area for a given restaurant, opting for the bar seating instead (doesn't require waiting to be seated). This place is located in the Bowie Town Center, toward the 'front' if you're entering from Colington Road. This is a decent sized establishment; bar to the left upon entry, dining room to the right. So, what's so great about this place? The staff. At least in the bar area, but I assume the staff are equally as adept in the dining area as in the bar. We always get great service and the food always comes out hot and fresh, exactly as ordered. We've tried most of the menu and haven't had anything we wouldn't eat again, but of course we have some favorites: the boneless wings in a sweet ginger sauce is a good choice, as are the wings as far as appetizers go. For entrees, the steaks are decent- not the best you'll have if you go for high quality cuts, but you won't be regretting ordering them. I haven't had the filet, but I've had all of the others and they were all good. The chicken tender platter is another favorite- fresh, not frozen, and always hot, crispy and juicy. The ribs are also very good- so good that sometimes they run out! Probably some of the best fries I've eaten anywhere. Salads are crisp and fresh, their dressings are good as well. They are rather limited on veggies, but what I've had were passable, not soggy or overcooked (broccoli, mostly). I don't do seafood but my wife does and mentioned that the grilled shrimp and the salmon were both very good. She especially loves the shrimp and lobster chowder, opting for that more often than not. So the food is good, the bartenders are very good- and if you become a regular, they tend to remember what you like and so will begin pouring your usual as you take your seat; something we've always appreciated. Jamel is our usual, because we typically go on Mondays or Wednesdays, but Kendra and Karen (Thursday and Friday, respectively) are also really good, and all of them are friendly and personable. Unless something catastrophic occurs (a case of food poisoning, restaurant gets closed) we have found our neighborhood watering hole and we're happy about that. If you find yourself in or near the Bowie Town Center and just want some good food and drink that won't slam your pockets to dust, you could do much worse than this place. read more

I love LongHorn!! They hit the money every time on flavor, Quality, Quantity & Price! This particular location is pretty busy so you should call ahead and reserve a seat. Depending on the time frame you arrive there might be a wait. This place is great for casual dates, family outings, celebrations etc! P.s.
