So we had just gone to Olive Garden the week prior and driving by Carrabba's, we decided to check it out. It is a different vibe and experience than the OG but we will definitely be back. It has more of a Italian restaurant experience than Olive Garden but I think OG's overall formula as a restaurant is better. When we came in the greeter had a seated, and then the waitress came by pretty quickly to get a drink orders and put in food. When you sit down and once you order, they will bring out some sourdough bread and the table has olive oil with spices. I was a fan of the bread and I thought it was pretty good. Again, this is a different vibe than the OG breadsticks - probably a little healthier. We got the Lunch trio with the four cheese and sausage stuffed mushrooms within an Italian salad. I always get the dressing on the side because a lot of places go pretty heavy with the dressing and this place is like that as well. I recommend ordering dressing on the side. We also got the Shrimp and Scallop alla Vodka with rigatoni pasta instead of linguine with a Caesar salad salad. All the food was pretty good but it was a little bit unusual because they did not offer to put cheese on all of our salads and dishes (again, comparing it to Olive Garden). I actually preferred that because I think the added cheese makes the food, a little saltier and less healthy, but that's just my preference. While we were there, there was some kind of incident where the fire department had to come into the building and everyone got evacuated, so the restaurant comped us all the food (read: gave us our meal for free), which was very generous and really good customer service. Even without our food, being comped, we will definitely be back to try more of the menu. I really enjoyed this other chain's take on Italian casual dining. read more

I have been meaning to come by for lunch and finally made it! I ordered the steak marsala sandwich with penne pomodoro for pick up. The food was ready as soon as i arrived and the carside employee handed me my bag with a smile and told me have a great day. Little things like that matter sometimes. On to the food, it was fresh, tasty, and portion size was just right (well for normal person, for me it's two meals). I couldn't have asked for anything to make my meal better. This was VERY UNDERWHELMING. Probably my most underwhelming eating so far this hear. It IS Carrabba's so the expectations wasn't high. But the execution of this dish was wrong. You can tell that the dish itself and the recipe of the dish isn't bad. However it was the person cooking it. First off it the vodka wasn't cooked and reduced. If you KNOW, you can taste that they didn't reduce it, and toss the pasta in with it. Whoever cooked this definitely didn't do this. The linguine had NO flavor once so ever. This was definitely terrible. However it was edible and the service wasn't the worst. So I'll give it 2 stars instead of 1. read more

The food is always reliably good, and sometimes even great. The staff is pleasant, and we have never been disappointed by our servers. I recommend checking out the Events page on their website or mobile app. The have monthly wine pairing dinners (or other seasonal beverages besides wine a few times each year). These dinners run about $60-$80 per person, but they are full, 4 or 5 course meals with the beverages included, unless one orders something different than what is featured with that meal. We have been to four of these dinners, and they're always very nice. The N. Battlefield Blvd location in Chesapeake always staffs these events well, so kudos to the location management for making these events very nice. read more

A group of 8 dined here on 7/02/2025 in the evening. Brandon was our server. He did an amazing job. His personality, his knowledge, attention to detail were all spot on. I have loved Carrabba's for many years. But they keep changing the menu, and it's pretty disappointing. Everything is delicious for sure. I am certain the entrees like Picatta, Salmon, etc., used to either come with spaghetti, or it was available as a side. Now, the only side pasta option is Rigatoni. Who wants Rigatoni with a fish or other meat? And why is Spaghetti not a side option in an Italian restaurant?? Makes no sense, in my humble opinion. I got the Asparagus w/Veal Piccata entree, which came on a separate plate and 3 minutes after the veal. It was just disjointed. The $10 take home is a GREAT idea! Came for dinner with a group of friends. We had a party of eight which they were able to accommodate. One of my friends asked for fresh cheese and balsamic vinegar to go with the olive oil and bread and our waitress brought it out with no issue. . When I asked about the sparkling water they served the waitress stated they were able to add syrup to it. I added peach syrup which was very good!! I got the polo Maria and the chicken was great!! The Alfredo looked a little stale and could've used more sauce. Some of my other friends got the salmon which they really liked. I tried the asparagus and spinach sides also which were good. We ordered takeout and the pasta was overcooked and greasy on the fettuccine. My sister's chicken pasta with sauce was not much better.

The food came out quickly, it was all hot and fresh. We particularly enjoyed the chicken parm, the fettuccine Alfredo, and the rosemary fries. My vegan daughter in law specifically enjoyed the minestrone soup and Positano pasta. Our server, Tessa, was courteous, attentive and very kind. This was the first sangria dinner and my first time eating at Carrabba's in person -had it once to go. The restaurant was clean and dimly lit. Our host/manager Constantine and staff did an excellent job. Everyone was very accommodating and attentive. Although the dinner kept moving I didn't feel rushed. The wood fired seafood is so flavorful and tender. The sangrias were all delish except the classic red - the cinnamon was overkill. My favorite was the chicken Bordeaux. I love goat cheese and the asparagus was extremely fresh and cooked perfectly. They also offered discounts to go dinners. I had the shrimp and scallop linguine - YUM! Large portion and reheated well. Less than stellar. Incorrect food was brought to our table 3 different times. All of our broccoli was soggy, my kids chicken tenders were burnt, WAAAY too mu ch sauce on the pasta.
