I only give 1 Star usually when the service is poor and unacceptable. I ordered ToGo over the phone by a bartender who said my food would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived in about 25 min and was told that she forgot to ring the order in. I, then had to wait until they fixed my food over. When I asked about how we would be compensated because she forgot to ring in the order and we had to wait 40 minutes for food, I was given way too much attitude. The serve offered me drinks. I don't want drinks. All I asked for were the fries to be taken off the bill, not the whole meal. The manager said to me "well we just made your food and it's hot". Am I supposed to be extra grateful for hot food? That tells me that your standard is to expect any temperature served. Unacceptable. Then, the manager said rolling her head with an attitude, "oh so you want to be compensated for waiting a FEW EXTRA MINUTES?? Sure." (Btw it wasn't a FEW min) That was unnecessary. I'm a big fan of businesses taking care of their customers so that they return, and just to show pride in their organization. Normally, I would not make a big deal about mistakes like these. I get it, accidents happen. I was a server once and I remember forgetting to ring orders in occasionally. I always, unlike these 2 ladies, made sure I APOLOGIZED (which the server didn't do) and did whatever to take care of the guests. I don't think it is unreasonable for someone to ask for compensation. If a restaurant thinks it is, they can just say no politely. No attitude was called for at all. I would not have come here if I knew it would take 40 minutes. I only stopped here because the bartender said it would only take 15 minutes. Then, I got back home to chaos because I took 40 min instead of 15. I came into town for business, and decided to have lunch here. It's been a long time since I ate at LongHorn and I have to say this is my best experience so far. Mr. James, the manager, went above and beyond to ensure the most excellent service was provided. He not only did that for me but for everyone in the restaurant. He is friendly and more than willing to go out of his way to ensure everyone has the best dining experience possible. At this point they could bring me shoe leather and I would still come back. Amazing customer service! I'm such a sucker for customer service, so this obviously triggered my review. Good thing is that not only was the customer service great but their bone in ribeye was amazing! Cauliflower, sweet potato, firecracker chicken wraps (served with ranch avocado dip). Lobster was great (a bit for seasoning could have been used for my taste, but great overall). Really like the appetizers here, had the corn fritters, samplers, lobster and shrimp soup, and all of them were delicious. For entrees, we asked for lamb chop and the ribeye. Both of them were over cooked. My ribeye was suppose to be medium rare, but came out to be medium well, (I still deal with it because the meat quality was good, which didn't make it too hard to chew) and the lam chop which was asked to be medium was definitely well done and even had char. We called our waiter over and he took it back to kitchen and had the chef remake one for us. Before asking for check, we also let him know that my ribeye was overcooked too, but I don't need to change mine cuz it was still ok. After then he left to grab our check and returned with a discount on it. Overall I think the dinner was nice, I will return for those appetizers and hope to have better steaks next time. read more

They have definitely change the quality of the steak as the rib-eye I received was thin and not all that great (the small pieces I could get down). There was one time and only one time I had the best steak from them was from a carryout order. It was a nice size, cooked to perfection, rice was delicious and those smokehouse wings, YUM!!!!! As for the atmosphere, the restaurant is very eloquent, slightly cramped and the walls have appeasing arrangements throughout the dining area. My filet was cooked beautifully bursting with flavor but my asparagus was grossly overcooked. My husband ordered a shrimp and steak dish With a side of Mac and cheese and potatoes. His shrimp was cooked and seasoned perfectly. His sides were soo good, but he asked for a medium well steak and it came back over cooked so it was very chewy and bland. We just recently discovered the Longhorn Steakhouse in Laurel MD. It is wonderful. The service is excellent, and the food is amazing. We have had terrible experiences in other Laurel restaurants, but this one is truly a cut above. We were greeted at the door and promptly seated, the serving staff is knowledgeable, and helpful. My experience today at this LongHorn Steakhouse was mediocre! When I entered no one greeted me or the couple in front of me. The bartender left the bar and walked right passed us to carry on a conversation with people she knew waiting to the side. The host finally came over and was not very pleasant, he asked how many and seated the couple in front of me. Returned and repeated the action with me. Once I was seated, my server Belrie quickly greeted me! I was shocked at how upbeat and polite he was considering the demeanor of the other two employees.
