There were 3 adults and 1 child and we were there for Tuesday evening dinner. We each had a variety of steak and baked potato meals. We all had Filet Mignon of various sizes and temperatures. Mine was well cooked in the middle (medium) and overcooked on the outside. The other was cooked perfectly (medium rare) but very heavily seasoned. The third persons steak was very undercooked (ordered medium rare) and far too chewy as a result. She couldn't eat it. We received our appetizer early and then our salads and entrees and my glass of wine all came at the same time. This made for a very crowded table and made it hard to enjoy our entrees. Here to leave a RARE review. We were searching steakhouses (Nashville has MANY - which are fancy and expensive). But chose this location based on where we were staying near the airport. The food here was AMAZING. Had a sirloin and shrimp. Steak was cooked perfectly-medium. And the shrimp was grilled - but also perfectly cooked. (Alot of places overcook shrimp making it dry). This place has always been a hit or miss. I can remember this place being here as long as I've been in Nashville and that is over 15 years. This has come up on the radar again recently as a business meeting spot. It's great for a cheaper but better business dinner. The service this recent times have been decent, the last server Kelly, showed extra care at the end of our visit. But I stop coming here for over 5-7 years because their customer service was so bad and my meal was always the one getting messed up so I just stop coming. I will give them the steaks but not like the best I've had. The rest of the menu is blah. I've had the salmon, the filete mignon and their salad. They definitely need to do better with the salmon and the salads. The filete was tender but it had some hard parts which for a filete it's already a big no. The rice is always hard and tasteless. I had the longhorn blue wedge salad and well, a sad and lazy attempt to make a salad and have the customer chop it . It wasn't even the wedge, it was the strip of lettuce and all the toppings thrown on top. I also never thought the words "too much blue cheese" would ever come out of my living mouth but it sure did with the salad. And where was the bacon? It might had had a conversation with my doctor before making its way to me, ha! The Mac and cheese was ok. It was missing something. We definitely will come back here every now and then. The meat itself tasted generic (same taste as Golden Corrals "steak" honestly) and was very salty and inconsistently seasoned throughout. I am a long time patron of this restaurant since 1994. Tonight was the worse experience I have ever had. Over the last three years I have see a steady decline in atmosphere, service, management, cleanliness, and quality of food. Something I didn't expect from such a consistent restaurant chain. They claim this is from COVID-19, but the decline started long before the pandemic. I will no longer go to this location, which saddens me after 27 years of patronage and the fact that I live in the local neighborhood. After speaking with customer service they assured me they would address the issues with the management and staff. So, this week I tried it again at the Murfreesboro Rd. location. The experience was a 1000 times better! Everyone was professional, courteous, attentive and polite. The server had 5 tables and she never missed a beat. Her attitude stayed positive as she attended to all our needs in a timely manner. The food was amazing and fresh! They all worked as a team, from the front of the house to the kitchen. Came out to Nashville from California for my birthday to visit my grandma. Looked for a steakhouse and this one seemed good. After visiting I can say that the food was delicious, there was a little hiccups here and there but nothing to drastic. Would definitely go here again if I ever visit. So my husband and I decided to come try longhorn. He had never been to one and I had only tried it one before in Iowa. He ordered the sirloin steak (medium well) with the baby back ribs and fries. I ordered the Flo's filet with the lobster tail, mashed potatoes and broccoli. The only thing my husband liked was the baby back ribs and the fries. He said his steak was well done, dry and no flavor. My steak was ok, nothing "wow". Lobster portion was bite size, quiet disappointing. I somewhat expected it would not be that big of a portion due to pounds and price but since its was overcooked it shrank so much that literally the piece if meat was a bite size. In addition, the mashed potatoes were soaked in so much butter, honestly was not aware thats how they served it. Seems like someone could get a heart attack from eating that. Staff was wonderful, can't complain about that. Based on prices and the quality of the food I don't consider it to be worth it. Will not be returning to a longhorn steakhouse read more
