Came here for my nephew birthday. 9 of us and actually got seated pretty quickly. When we first got there and told them how many the host was like oh I'll see what we can do. It will be a wait for that many. Not the nicest response but it was not too long. Lots of woodsy decor throughout which I always enjoy seeing. They were pretty busy too for a Tuesday night. So we come here quite a bit to be honest. The food is always hot the services is always great. We really have only had problems with the servers being slow, overselling, or focusing on singular tables. I apologize yall but the food and company were so good , I took no pictures ( please forgive me ) We had a large party and ordered so many appetizers , desserts, drinks and cocktails we were too busy laughing and catching up. The service was outstanding and so accommodating . Food was hot and fresh and none of us had to have anything taken back to be corrected which was very nice. I love Longhorns and try to come atleast once a month as it's one of my favorites. My brother works for longhorns so I will always support the Orlando locations. Brought the family to dinner because was craving that parmesan crusted chicken and it did not disappoint. I ordered it with mac and cheese and fries. All three kiddos ordered the steak medium / medium rare and loved it. My daughter snuck some of my mac and cheese and would not stop. She said it was pretty good. Both hubby and I love that its one of the few places that has steak in the kids menu because my kids love it but won't finish an adult meal yet. Hubby also got a steak with a loaded baked potato and he also loved it. Juicy, tender, flavorful steak. Service was fast, friendly, helpful. Longhorn has always been my favorite out of the "Chain" steakhouses (Outback, Texas Roadhouse, Logan's, etc). Maybe it's the decor and the atmosphere which just seems better. They also seem to get the temperature of the steak the closest to what you order, which can be difficult at even some of the finest steakhouses. Thay also have decent ribs and some of their other menu items are good too, if you're not willing to tack a chance on steak. The ribeye sandwich is a good one IMHO. They make a nice side salad too. Service has been good over the years and usually there's a bit of a wait, so they must be doing something right. read more

Longhorn has always been a solid choice in a place for dinner. You know what you're going to get. We visited this location for an early dinner on the weekend. There was a wait so we opted to sit in the bar area right away where there was surprisingly a good amount of tables. Our server was great. She was helpful when we were deciding what appetizer to order. She was also quick with service. We decided on the Texas tonion as an appetizer which was very hot and had alot of onion pieces. We both ordered the Flo's Filet with salads. Our steaks were cooked great. My sweet potato was loaded the way I asked. The setback was the salads. While my house salad was good, not long into eating it the person I was with found a moth in their caesar salad. This ruined my appetite for the rest of my salad. The issue was brought up to the server who got the manager to come by. He apologized and took full blame for the mishap. He took the appetizer off of our bill. While mistakes happen, and the gesture of a covered app was good, I just thought some more could be done like their meal being comped. I love, love this place! The staff is usually very nice and quick to take your order especially when we are a big group. They get the orders right with an occasional forgotten side dish or drink. But I give them props for getting all the orders right. The food is delicious and filling! They serve enough ro satisfy you and warm your belly. I really enjoy the grilled shrimp with rice salad and or mashed potatoes or fries. That is my to go meal. Delicious! This time around my husband ordered the chicken tenders with Mac and cheese and the parm loaded fries. He especially loved the fries! He said they are absolutely delicious! I regret not trying them. But there is always next time. So until then, I dream of the food I enjoy eating from here. And hope to return sooner then later. Interesting thing is that I feel that lately I've been appreciating more the steaks at the Longhorn restaurants. Sometimes I just want to eat steak that is easily accessible without having to spend a lot of money. I typically order from the Lake Nona area one, but this time around I was in Waterford Lakes area stopped by this location. We came to Longhorn after a long absence to have a good steak dinner as a farewell for a family member. Top stars go to our waitress: she was very attuned to what we wanted, attentive, and made sure we were happy with our experience. Our daughter's steak (kids meal) was perfectly cooked, which is not easy when your 11 yr old likes medium rare... my husband, who is equally picky with his steak, also got it right on point. Re: Longhorn Steakhouse fraudulent policy lunch at Longhorn 997 Lockwood Blvd, Oviedo Fl 32765. The server was Tabytha K and the Service Manager was Brittnie Alexander. We spoke to and verified this information with both of these employees. The managing partner, Jonelle Lockwood, was not available. Everything went fine right up until we were presented with the check which contained an additional item: Mix/Green Salad Add for $3.99, which we did not order and did not receive. We assumed it was a simple error and brought it to the waitress's attention to have it removed. When I said politely "There is a charge for a salad on our bill that we didn't order", the waitress responded by saying "Oh, the manager was supposed to remove that item. I'm so sorry they didn't." The response seemed strange to me. If they knew the item did not belong on the bill then why was it still there? What if we had not noticed it? The waitresses response alerted me, it made me FEEL like something shady was happening. So I questioned the waitress some more. Summary of conversation, not specific quotes but very accurate representation of what was said: ME: "I don't understand. How did that item get on the bill if you knew it was not ordered". SERVER: "The restaurant has us add an item to the bill to improve service. If customers are seated for more than ten minutes without ordering, the servers are required to put something on their bill so we can register what time the customer came in. It helps them to monitor service." ME: "Are you saying that every time someone comes into this restaurant and is seated, if they don't order something within the first ten minutes an item is added to their check to establish the time they were seated? And then, hopefully someone remembers to take that item OFF the bill before it is presented to the customer?" SERVER: "Yes, it is Longhorn's policy to do that." ME: "But what happens if, like our bill, the party does not notice the extra item on their bill and just turns over their credit card and pays for it?" SERVER: "Oh, that actually happens quite a bit. I don't agree with the policy but I have no choice but to add an item to the bill if the party takes longer than ten minutes to order something." ME: "So Longhorn just gets to keep the fraudulent charges, the tax and of course the tip on the that portion of the bill every time someone doesn't notice it?" SERVER: "Well yes, that is what happens but I don't agree with the policy." ME: "Let me see if I understand this. Longhorn knowingly adds a charge to each patron's bill if they take more than ten minutes to order. Sometimes it may be corrected by management before the bill is presented to the customer for payment. But not always. If it is not corrected before presentation of the bill to the customer for payment, then it would be corrected if the customer notices the additional charge and asks for the correction. But if the customer does not notice the additional charge, then Longhorn just reaps the additional profits from that fraudulent add-on." Does that summarize what you are telling me? SERVER: "Well yes, but like I said I don't agree with the policy." ME: "Okay, bring over your store manager." Manager Brittnie Alexander comes over. I describe what happened and I relay the information provided by the server. I ask her if this is in fact the policy of Longhorn as described by the Server and if so could she elaborate on how that policy "improves the service" to the customer. Manager: "Yes, that is our policy. To improve service to our customer we add an item to the bill to establish the time they were seated at the table. Then the server has x-amount of time to ask what they want to drink, to ask if they want an appetizer, to ask for their order, etc. It helps turn over the tables by establishing a serving time frame." Me: "And you feel that adding an item that was not ordered to a customers bill helps to establish that service level? Or does it set the customer up to be cheated by the restaurant if the customer doesn't happen to notice it and you fail to remove it before presenting the bill?." Our server stated that management has to approve the removal of the item from the bill and that they often do not do that. But the server is required to deliver the fraudulent bill to the customer within a certain period of time." MANAGER: "Well the server should not have told you all of that." Then the manager got testy, asked if the bill was corrected and said that since the bill was corrected there was nothing else she could do. The food was good but I did not appreciate being set up for over-billing. I reported to attorney general for admitted systemic unfair and deceptive business practice to senior citizens. read more

The quality of this restaurant has gone down hill in recent months. First the good part: The bussers are great and do a fantastic job turning the tables for the next guests. One 20-something busboy, black hair, parted in the center with glasses is always polite and accommodating. I ordered the 6oz ribeye, medium a side salad and loaded baked potato. As usual with this place, the runner/server brought the main dish before we could finish the salad. The 6oz ribeye was at most, 1/4 inch thick and had somehow been compressed. Longhorn's kitchen procedures are that medium-well and well steaks are to be compressed to get to that level of doneness. Rare, medium-rare, and medium are not compressed. After having the same main dish many times, I knew what it should have looked like. I sliced with a steak knife and observed it was beyond medium. It was tough, over-seasoned and an excessive amount of salt. I brought this to the attention of the server/runner and told him it was not right, and would he mind taking it back. He rolled his eyes, and said "Whatever, i'll have the cook redo it!". He picked up the plate, slammed it on his round serving tray and stormed off whispering "a*s h*le" under his breath. This older male mid 30's server (no uniform or name tag) never did come back. We summoned the manager and explained what happened. He had a so-so attitude and apologized and said he would speak to the runner/server and have him remake the steak. I objected as now I did not trust the server, or the kitchen knowing what happens in kitchens when guests return untouched meals - spitting into the food, adding too much salt, etc. The manger insisted it would be okay and I again objected. The manager again insisted on having a fresh ribeye made to the correct request of medium. Again I said no, I do not trust the kitchen if the runner/server is on the property. The manager then said he would supervise the grilling of the ribeye and would we take it to go. The manager did comp the entire meal (party of 4) and we did take home the replacement steak. If servers/runners have this kind of attitude in the service industry, perhaps working at a casual dining restaurant is not their thing. I ordered for the second time this week lunch to go, and the burger was completely burnt to a crisp the first order, the second order the burger was overdone again plus they did not wrap the burger and lettuce as requested because of gluten-free precautions no bread. They also did not include the toppings for the sweet potato or any silverware, etc. when I went into the restaurant to return the order and get a refund it took over 20 minutes and the manager had a hard time figuring out how to give me a receipt for the return and told me that the return will take two weeks. I visited this place along with Texas Roadhouse and Outback Steakhouse all within a week to see who has the better steak and dessert. The ambiance is casual, and on a Tuesday evening, it was pretty slow, as there was no wait time. We were greeted with some bread by our server Kiona (sorry if I spelled it wrong), and she was wonderful. The bread was served with butter, and that was a good opening for the entrée. I ordered their Flo filet (which is what they call the filet mignon) medium. The steak was well seasoned, and it had some pink, but it was at the cosp of medium well. For my two sides, I got the Steakhouse Mac & cheese and cheesy bacon fries, which are not on the menu, but the server offered to add cheese and bacon, and that's another reason I really appreciated our server Kiona. The sides were great! They really should add the cheesy bacon fries to their menu, and the Mac & cheese reheated well the next day. For dessert, I did the Chocolate Stampede. It's very RICH! The two scoops of ice cream aren't enough for it. I used both scoops on one of the halves and used milk at home for the other. On another visit on a Friday evening, the experience was different. The wait time wasn't bad at 20 minutes. Our server was great once again. Ordered the same steak medium and got a well-done steak. Apparently, that had been an issue that evening, as the server wasn't surprised and offered to get a new one. Both my roommates and mine came out the same way. The second steaks were much better. It was my first time at this place. We decided to celebrate my husband's birthday at Longhorn. The food was tasty and the portion was good. The staff was great and treated my husband with a dessert and candle: the ambience was Texas style. The place looks clean. We ordered Lemon garlic chicken, salmon, baby back ribs. When we come here for dinner, we usually wait less than 15 minutes for a table to open up on any day. We always order the 8oz sirloin with either mashed potatoes, broccoli or mushrooms. We refrain from ordering drinks here bc they're not so strong... but you're there to enjoy the food not get buzzed. The restaurant is always clean and the servers really enjoy working there! I met up with friends for dinner on a Saturday night. Most of us were visiting from out of town as we were preparing to head out to sea for a birthday cruise. We had a party of eight. The restaurant was pretty crowded when we arrived but we were seated within 5-7 minutes. Our server was friendly but didn't give us as much attention as I would have hoped. We watched everyone around us receive their food and by the time our table was served the majority of the other customers were gone. I had potato soup which was tasty but not very warm. And that the theme of everyone's order. No one's food was served hot. I understand we had large table to serve, but no one should have to suffer if someone else's meal takes longer to cook.
