Then all five employees came to the front as we were asking for our money back and we were met with some kind of weird, out-of-bounds rude behavior, saying things like, "Well if you think you can do better why don't you come back and run the grill?" To which I said, "Sure! No problem. I private chef on the side and can probably teach ya a thing or two. You cannot just fire on one sandwich every ten to fifteen minutes." Counters not cleaned. Ketchup packets left on tables. Garbage clearly hadn't been taken out in a long time. So, let's just say, the Health Dept has been notified; the conditions are atrocious. The au ju is flavorful, not too salty and doesn't leave some coat of something on your tongue.. the swiss/onion bread works so so well with everything.. the flavor of the Swiss cheese goes well with the au ju. We've had a few different sandwiches. my fiancée loved the meatloaf one and we both love the recent weekly specials.. This week is the chicken curry salad sandwich and last week was the Carolina pulled pork.. I lost my mind with that one.. so so flavorful. I couldn't stop eating it. I forgot it was a weekly special and we got it on the last day. So so sad.. wish it was a regular on the menu.. I wish I did so it would save me a trip to blue ribbon butcher. I have not tried any of the deli foods, but they have a nice menu. It is always clean, the people are always friendly and the quality seems to always be there so I will continue to shop here for last minute items or if I want to save a trip to town.
