i am new to the area so i thought i'd give this place a try for quick takeout.. i ordered light --and just ordered just a chicken tostada.. i got it home and found that the chicken was chewy frozen grill char strips.,,ewww. im a sfv valley native and i'm real sure that was my first fake grilled chicken tostada ever.. a fresh grilled sliced breast is one very important ingredient in any mexican food.. i surely wouldnt accept that chicken in a taco.. i tried to just eat the salad and beans.. not happy.. theres goes dinner.. Came for Sunday breakfast. Unremarkable, bland flavor for Mexican. Salsa needed salt and heat so I added it and it still needed flavor. I was driving through town and had to stop for a quick bite. I pulled into the parking lot one night and had a life changing experience after ordering a lengua torta. I've never had one quite this good before. Exceptionally good! It's taste is difficult to describe. A very unique and distinct flavor. I hope it wasn't a perro I was eating because it was absolutely phenomenal and I would do it again in a heart beat. I will definitely seek out this restaurant again whenever I pass through Sunland. So I called and placed an order over the phone and ordered 10 carne asada tacos and a large beans to go. The lady said about 15 mins or 20 before it's ready. I waited till 15 minutes was up and literally walked next door to pick up my order. It was sitting there ready for me, I paid and left and walked home which is not even 3 minutes away. Opened up and started to eat the tacos along with my girlfriend. Disgusting dried out carne asada, damn what happened to the quality of your meat. Aside from the terrible meat, they were cold as well. It's obvious that they had been sitting there for a while before I picked them up Sure I could have heated them up in the microwave, but I shouldn't have to with food I just purchased five minutes ago. Shame Shame Shame on you Los Arcos, for serving these up to me. It's all good though I won't be back, I have given up on you and Pena's tacos across the street as well. Maybe somebody will buy you out and actually serve decent food. Good luck to you a former customer, that has been here numerous times before. Stopped here for Sunday Brunch and had an excellent experience. We ordered the machacha plate and chile verde which were perfect. The machaca and chili verde meats were very flavorful and the side of rice and beans tasty. The home made tortillas topped it all off along with the great service. It was a very enjoyable meal, and will continue to come the los arcos. Also, i recommend the agua frescas strawberry lemonade. Very refreshing. read more

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Sunland. Who knew that there could be a restaurant with such delicious, fresh seafood in a tiny strip mall? Try the shrimp tostada or the healthy platter (which comes with humongous garlic shrimp). You will not regret trying this place. We hope to dine there again soon. CHANGE YOUR OIL!!! Hard shell tacos were fried in disgusting old tasting oil. Couldn't eat the shell. The chicken was flavorless. Small drink was $2.50 and they charge $1.00 for refills. Total rip off! Woman at the counter was very unpleasant. It was way too hot inside this place. Turn on your AC! It was over 90 degrees outside today. Very uncomfortable and disappointing. I ordered a carne asada torta, but it was not carne asada meat. They use a less expensive meat, which has a lot of fat.

Their wet burrito is the best burrito in Sunland tujunga in my opinion, and I've tried a lot. I take my family here sometimes and they are so nice to us, very respectful. My cousins seem to enjoy their sea food and my brother loves the torta, DEFINITELY BETTER THAN PENAS TACOS. Only thing is that they make you pay for refills. read more

Cannot believe all the high ratings for this gawd awful hole in the wall. Authentic Mexican food I think not. I am from Boyle Heights and you can bet your bottom dollar that any place in East LA is more authentic than this place. Their beans made my whole family bloated which means they probably didn't soak them before cooking them. Their chips were stale and their salsa lacked flavor. It tasted like white people's version of Mexican food. Bland, bland, bland. My 3 yr old never asked for more rice which tells me that it wasn't good. At first I thought I was a fluke, so we gave it two more shots. Nope, same rude, condescending attitude. We ordered for delivery and the food arrived hot and prompt! The person who took our order (also the driver Maui (sp)) was very professional and courteous. The shredded beef tacos, cooked with peppers and onions, were a great deal at $1 on fresh tortillas. I had the wet shrimp burrito which was very good and big enough for two. My mom gave her cheese enchiladas a thumbs up and the homemade shell, chicken tostada salad is to die for, but I will let my mom chime in on those items. It looks splendid! Please read my honest review, the other reviews are left by employees and family members. I wish i would have had a real review before I went there. I am a mid-thirties, educated, white male executive currently with my wife expecting our first child. I live in the Tujunga area and frequent restaurants often. I have NEVER written a poor review. This place deserves one. My wife is pregnant and craving tacos, so we looked up near by areas and found this place. We looked at THEIR WEBSITE to check out the prices. They seemed reasonable. $1.25 per taco, you choose any meat. When I got to the restaurant I ordered 10 tacos. she gave me a total of 17.50. I asked how can that be. She explained that the tacos are $1.75. I thought no big deal, I'd buy them any because my wife really wanted tacos. Well I reached in my pocket and realized I left my wallet on the counter. I had $15 in cash on me. I never carry very much cash. This amount would have been fine if the prices of the tacos were priced the same as the website. I kindly showed her the website prices. She said she could not price match. But these were their prices they had listed! She rudely refused, as if I was trying to swindle her. I wasn't. I was prepared to pay the price they advertised. I didn't want to inconvenience them but I asked to give her $15 in exchange for the 10 tacos. This was only $2.50 off due to their pricing error. I am not a bad customer, but I feel they looked at me and figured I should have the money so they could make up whatever price they like. Even though I do well for myself, I don't like being taken advantage of. Instead of ordering there, I went down the street to El Pollo Loco. I told them what happened and they offered me $5 off their $20 meal. That's customer service. I left them a great review. I didn't want to go to chain restaurant, I wanted to support a small business. But hey, there are plenty of great Mexican food spots in the area. DO NOT go to this one! read more
