    Tasteless Chicken flautas
    Nicole S.

If I could give them less stars I would. Initially I came into have the whole fried fish. The fish was fried so hard it wasn't edible. There was no meat on the fish at all so the meat separated. I sent it back and resorted to getting the chicken flautas. The chicken inside is so bland it literally tastes like cardboard. The presentation was great, the flavor was not! So disappointed I will never eat here again.

If you get the tacos here definitely get the Tripa Tacos! Definitely won't be disappointed.

Small taqueria right in the middle of First street in downtown Livermore. There's two other taquerias close by but Los Caporales has my favorite grilled chicken tacos and their shrimp fajitas are really good. Service is quick and I like their chips and salsa bar.

I ordered take out and my friend picked up our food. My friend's son loves this place. Their mini burrito is huge and my friend's son only ate half. My taco plate was good but lukewarm. The beans and rice were tasty and the tacos were spicy but were okay. Overall a nice meal and I would come back. Maybe in person food would be hot.

Have been here a few times but first time thinking about writing a yelp review. Super nice place with a homie vibe. It seems like they have a mural of old town Livermore which is really cool to see. They have indoor and outdoor (naturally shaded with trees) seating. The service was awesome, I was able to get in before the line formed. This time I ordered a carne asada torta and I did not regret it! I've previously ordered burritos, fajitas, and a shrimp plate, but I think my top fav is the torta. The bread was super soft with a crunchy exterior. The blend of melted cheese, guacamole, and tasty meat is sooo good! They also have chips and salsa you can grab:)

It's been a couple years since I've been here. This was my favorite quick eats Mexican restaurant when I used to live in Livermore. The place looks bigger than I remembered, and then I realized they moved right next door! We ordered our food. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands, and by the time I returned... voila! Dinner is served. My family loves the carnitas here. It's just so dang good! I ordered a taco salad with everything. The first bite of carnitas brought me back to 2005! Omg. The flavor is still spot on. My hubby and son both ordered carnitas burritos. They were huge and they both managed to eat every bite!! If you haven't been here, I don't know why you haven't. Go!

Pretty good spot! They have a nice little salsa bar and I felt like it wasn't as crazy expensive as other taquerias tend to be these days

Charged me 15$ for one taco and chips....penny pinchers and rude. Food was good though, but the people running it are ridiculously unfair.

Charged me 15$ for one singular chicken taco and chips. They are rude and unfair. The food was good but not worth the money at all. I wish I had taken my money elsewhere. 15$ can get way more food anywhere else. Chips should NOT cost that much it's absolutely ridiculous and absurd

    Carnitas Plate - big portion!

Overpriced trash $41 for two regular burritos and 2 small drinks, just because the location is downtown Livermore‍

The ambiance is cute with a small closed off glass area of wine and two seater table inside! Our waitress Dominique was amazing. She was able to give great recommendations for wines and food. She also made us feel taken cared of and was friendly/warm. The food is a mix of mexican/euro/american so there were a lot of different options. Here are the things we got: Appetizers - Parm crusted cauliflower: so good, nice and crunchy but not too heavily breaded. The chipotle mayo was delish - Chicharrones: so light and crispy! They were hot out of the fryer. It had a side of a corn cheese dip that was so good and made it more unique of a dish -- must try if you even kind of eat chicharrones. I don't generally like pork skin but I enjoyed it regardless. - Hamachi ceviche: this is a large sharing portion with chunks of hamachi and avocado. Good but not a must have. Entrees - Enchiladas: very cheesy and overall a good dish but I would skip this. - Shrimp tostadas: large size shrimp and it just comes with two tostadas so I don't think it was worth the price - Barramundi fillet: The fish was tender and juicy. I liked the marinades that came with it. I liked this dish with the rice because it made me feel homey. Good portion of fish. - Agua Chile Ribeye: This is a must have! The ribeye is sous vide so it was soo tender and juicy. The broth was really nice to keep everything moist and flavorful. Because we were celebrating a birthday, Dominique made a dessert with a nice special touch. Will definitely be back again!

Unfortunately, the food experience didn't live up to the service. Charging extra for chips and salsa at what is essentially a Mexican restaurant (even if it's branded as "Southwestern") was disappointing, especially when the salsa portion was so small. Chips and salsa are such a staple that it felt out of place to pay extra for them. The biggest issue, though, was the tortillas. They weren't heated, which made them feel dry and mealy and they fell apart while eating the tacos. The steak itself was flavorful, but the tortillas made it difficult to enjoy what could have been a really good dish. I genuinely hope they make a few adjustments because the people there were fantastic, the drinks were excellent, and this place has a lot of potential.

The parking was a little weird, but I found a spot and checked it out. There was a party of 4 in front of me ordering at the counter. They serve alcohol, bottled sodas, and have a soda fountain. The place isn't fancy- pretty simple and a little dark but ok. It wasn't inviting enough to stay. The 3 guys working weren't too friendly but I wanted to try the fish taco and a shrimp taco to go. $5.75 seemed a little higher than normal for a taco but I figured the serving may be bigger than most places. After 10 minutes, I picked up my to go order on a paper plate with tin foil which made me chuckle. The fish taco was very good- great flavor, tender fish perfectly cooked. I'd rate it a 5/5. The shrimp taco was much smaller which was odd, but the flavor was also very good. The photo reflects a pretty small taco- and it definitely wasn't worth the price. 2/5 for the price. I would go again for fish tacos if I wanted food to go with no frill.

This is certainly not a place to avoid--we had a good meal and a pleasant visit. It just didn't stand out enough to become one of our personal "must-go" spots. It did feel overpriced for what we got.

I'm not sure what is happening with Casa Orozco. First of all, I want to say myself Nd my family…read morehave been fans since the very ORIGINAL Casa Orozco was in Livermore. Many birthdays and family celebrations have taken place here over the years and one of the family favorites has always been their chips and salsa. We love it so much that often when we are making our own Mexican food at home, we will pick it up just as a side for the dinner. However, the last 6 times (not kidding) I have come and asked for the MILD chips and salsa, we get home and it is the super hot version. Now I'm not a complainer as I will eat any type of salsa, but our kids crave the mild because the hot is too much for them. One of the most common complaints among guests with Casa is that their prices don't match the quality or service. This is a perfect example. It costs nearly $20 for a bag of chips and a quart of salsa and to get home and have it been inedible for our family, is ridiculous. This has happened time and time again even after asking the hosting staff to "double check", "please make sure", "are you sure this is mild?" This obviously isn't the only issue. As many others have mentioned, food quality has gone down hill as a whole. Sometimes food seems stale or rushed. If Casa wants to remain a Livermore staple, it really needs to work on making the quality of their service match their pricing expectations. I am to the point where I guess I will have to dip a chip in the parking lot before taking it home.
