    Tamales both green & red

In a strip mall with Wendy's, Starbucks, Subway, etc. it's close to work. This is solid taqueria style Mexican food. I was hoping it would be amazing since the place is always busy and there's usually a line of to go orders during lunchtime. It's not bad but it's not great either. It's a walk-up counter with lots of seating. I've had their nachos, which are huge, chili verde taco is good and my favorite so far has been their tamales. Their cheese enchiladas are on the underwhelming side with sauce that tasted like tomato sauce and priced at $17 seemed steep. Prices are more pricey but nowadays that's everywhere! The tamales are moist, masa tender and came with no sauce. I asked for a side of green salsa. I was happy to find their rice and beans are good. You have to pay for the chips & salsa. If you're not a sour cream fan, be sure to ask them for no sour cream as they're very generous with the creama.

Came here after an interview in Livermore. Expected a lot because the offered tripa which is my favorite. Service was nice and the place seems clean but nothing special. I ordered the tripa burrito and expected it to be crispy and delicious but it was more soggy and bland. I had way better ones in Lathrop and Stockton. Overall my experience was average

While traveling through Northern California, we searched for breakfast burritos and stumbled upon **Taqueria Consuelo**--and wow, did we luck out! Their **breakfast burritos** are nothing short of perfection. The potatoes are packed with incredible flavor, adding the perfect texture and heartiness to every bite. The tortilla? Absolutely top-notch--soft, warm, and holding everything together just right. Every ingredient works in harmony, creating one of the best breakfast burritos we've ever had. Beyond the fantastic food, the service is friendly, the portions are generous, and the authenticity shines through in every detail. Whether you're a local or just passing through, **Taqueria Consuelo** is a must-visit spot for an unforgettable breakfast burrito experience.

Everyone at my work is talking about Taqueria Consuelo and how great the burritos are. Thus I needed to check it out for myself. Yep, they are legit. I ordered the carne asada super burrito and it was huge! I could only eat half and saved the other half for my next day snack. Very tasty burritos with lots of flavor. Four of five stars given because they do not give you free chips and no salsa bar.

This is a hidden gem. The parking lot is small, but it's worth a little walk. I ordered the Chile Rellenos and was pleasantly surprised. It was cooked well and had a great cheese blend. Be warned, the chiles are HUGE! One would have been plenty... I ordered two because most places serve them smaller. I couldn't stop eating because they were delicious. Great food, great service!

Very greasy. Their sauce had no real heat/ flavor. Beef was dry. Tacos were big. Burrito was good size. Nice workers.

The carne asada was ok not great. But the Birria quesadilla was the bomb. Very standard customer service.

As our organizer mentioned, they were fully booked that night so do reserve early. Warm earthy tones in the decor made for a comfortable, inviting atmosphere and the light jazz ensemble and lovely vocal performances elevated the evening's experience. The ambiance is a strong point. Being a paella newbie, I definitely looked forward to tasting a version especially after watching cooking shows over the years. The saffron broth rice nicely counterbalanced the seasoned shrimp, sausage and other ingredients. Thumbs up. I had several portions. The tempura cauliflower - good. KR Enchiladas were cheesey and rich, plumply filled, and the accompanied rice accented with corn. Since we shared the three enchiladas, my small piece was enough for me. Suggest passing on the sourdough side that came with the paella. The bread had melted, but cooled cheese on it and there was not much free broth in the paella to soak therewith anyway. With water being the group's primary beverage, perhaps request a carafe of water at the table to ease the thirstier folks (me). Our wait person gave helpful suggestions and efficient service. The rest of the staff had hustle. As normal with live music, be prepared to raise your voice and repeat yourself in conversations. Parking is ample, with a short walk, in this Nob Hill Foods shopping center.

I went to Cinco's Taco Bar in Livermore and it was SO good! I ordered a crunchy taco with carnitas, rice, and cheese. The taco shell felt hard but also super crunchy, which I really liked. The carnitas meat was my favorite part because it was so yummy and full of flavor. Everything tasted delicious and I would definitely want to go back again. One - when I walked in I'm not sure if the person that was working there was speaking to her friend or family member but it seems like I interrupted their conversation so it took several minutes for me to make my order(I actually almost left) but I proceeded to place part one of my order which was a dutch crunch burrito with the brisket meat. This was not bad tasting at all when I got back to try everything after shopping nearby. However the carnitas burrito was terrible. I'm not sure what happened. I took two bites and it just wasn't good at all. I was highly disappointed. I appreciated that they give me free chips and salsas but even the salsas weren't that great...not really spicy for "habanero" and the others just seemed watered down as do most Mexican restaurants. So for 32$ I was totally let down and I really dislike spending money on food that I don't like and then I need to spend more money getting food because I'm still hungry. I'm happy that I at least tried the place but now I can see why there was only 2 other diners in the afternoon/early evening. I guess my quest for good Mexican food in this city will continue. I don't think I can recommend or return to this establishment anytime soon.

The place isn't fancy- pretty simple and a little dark but ok. It wasn't inviting enough to stay. The 3 guys working weren't too friendly but I wanted to try the fish taco and a shrimp taco to go. $5.75 seemed a little higher than normal for a taco but I figured the serving may be bigger than most places. After 10 minutes, I picked up my to go order on a paper plate with tin foil which made me chuckle. The fish taco was very good- great flavor, tender fish perfectly cooked. I'd rate it a 5/5. The shrimp taco was much smaller which was odd, but the flavor was also very good. The photo reflects a pretty small taco- and it definitely wasn't worth the price. 2/5 for the price. I would go again for fish tacos if I wanted food to go with no frill.

So I love Casa Orozco but tonight.... We walked in tonight…read moreat around 9:10 (they close at 9:30). Yea I know its a little late but the place had quite a few people in the dining and bar area for a saturday night. I know for myself if we're eating close to closing, I leave a good tip bc I appreciate their service when its close to closing time. We waited at the front hostess area for 2 to 3 min before anyone came out. 3 employees walked by us and said nothing as they saw us standing there waiting to be seated. Finally we got seated and our waitress came to ask us if we wanted drinks and we ordered at 9:17p. We received our food at exactly 9:30p which I thought was amazing timing and it looked okay. But.... as the waitress gave us our food, she placed my husband's fajita plate down then walked around the table towards me. As she was doing that, she slid the tortila holder across the table and it hit my husbands dinner plate.. she said nothing and I thought that was so rude. She placed my food down and then asked "do you guys want anthing bc the bar is closing and they wont make you anything after they close!" I said "we're fine." Again, we get it you guys are closing but come on. My husband asked her if he could get a refill on some salsa.. she yanked the salsa from the table and went to fill it. Returned with it and slid it across the table a couple inches and walked away. Groups of people started to leave the dining area and head home and before we knew it we were the only ones there. As we were eating, I could see the waitress sitting by the wall with her arms crossed looking at us and around the room. It made us uncomfortable and I could tell she was so irritated.. it was 9:40. The other employees were cleaning the tables and placing chairs on tables around us to clean the floors Before long, we couldn't take it. I was just annoyed so we asked for to-go boxes. She got us our boxes and a bag to carry the boxes. We felt SO rushed and really annoyed. Yea you close at 9:30 but you're still making money at the end of the day. We paid at the end and gave her a low tip. I was prepared to give her wayy more but I couldnt. Her attitude was something else. I feel like the restaurant has gone down and its unfortunate. The food was okay and I don't think we'll be back. It's a shame bc I really liked this location and building. I don't know what her name was but she was around 5 foot 1-2 inches tall, mid 40s, short black hair with a purple tint to it, and she wore a silver butterfly ring on her right ring finger. As we walked out, the feeling we got was that we were holding EVERYONE UP so they couldn't close up. But as we walked to the car, we saw several people still sitting in the bar area.. eating.. drinking.. etc. 11 people to be exact. So what was the rush...
