All of the salsa options were pretty good and the salsa bar was clean, everything tasted fresh. Something i always look for is the freshness. The service was good and the horchata was nice and sweet. This place used to have the best al pastor tacos in all of tri-valley, but after the change in ownership, their tacos are quite bad now. One big difference is the tortillas they now use. Super clean, good prices, good quality food, great service, easy parking and all the construction workers come here so you know it's legit! Ordered a breakfast burrito. Met my needs minus the undercooked bacon meh. It's like they boiled it? So ask for crispy bacon if that matters to you. Very hearty and tasty otherwise. Lots of beans so maybe also ask for less beans and extra egg as there's maybe one scrambled egg in it idk ‍ Right off the freeway and doesn't seem to get very busy since it's kind of in a remote and less populated type location. I was really hoping this was good Mexican food I was craving but it didn't fulfill the craving. I wanted to try their Al Pastor tacos cause they looked so good on the pictures. We ordered 1 vampiro, 2 tacos and carne asada fries. Vampiro was more like a tostada but not bad at all. The carne asada on the vampiro could have used a little more sear but flavor was there. The tacos didn't taste like other al pastor I've had but that could just be me. Their salsas all needed a little more salt or seasonings. I tried almost all of them. The one for Al pastor was really interesting in flavor. I would probably try that one again. The carne asada fries were good but my husband doesn't like pico de gallo so the cheese was a little too much. The cheese was different and I thought it was great with the fries I would just need to try it with pico to help with the heaviness of it. All and all I wasn't impressed so I probably wouldn't come back personally but I did a lot of people came in and out, im sure they enjoy it. Service was fast but not too personal or friendly. Been waiting to try this place so we stopped by on our way home. My husband got a vampiro asada(hard fried corn tortilla smothered in cheese and topped with meat) it was garnished with onions, cilantro and a lime wedge. I was not sure about it but it was really delicious. He also got a torta. He ate it when we got home so it was a little mushy and the bread to filling ratio is not great which seems to be a problem in East bay. I got a variety of tacos. Above average but nothing spectacular. I would love to go back and try some more items. Best thing was the two green salsas. My husband likes the hot ones! I decided to give this place a shot last night and truthfully was disappointed. I ordered for me and my roommates, 2 al pastor burritos, 1 asada burrito and 5 al pastor tacos. The tacos were okay, but the quality of the meat was not great. I was hopeful for the burrito because I was really hungry. I ordered the asada one and it was by far the worst burrito I've had in a while. The meat was all chewy and I kept biting into pieces of fat. The aguas frescas we ordered were extremely sweet, way too much sugar. I'm giving 2 stars simply for the fact that the service was quick, but other than that the ambiance was alright they had good music playing. Unfortunately I will not be coming back, I believe my roommates and I got food poisoning from the meat. Super sad that I spent money there, but oh well. read more

We had the pleasure trying 2 tripe tacos and Asada super burrito from La Potranca. Pros: person at the ground counter was very polite. Salsa bar has many different options and salsa itself is yummy! The wait time is very short. 5-10 minutes. Cons: our food was just ok. The meat was very dry and just didn't have the flavor like Los Caporales or EL Chaparirto do. Finally a couple months later they open this new Livermore location off of First Street/Springtown blvd. I've got to say their food was awesome this time around. Food was already overpriced and lowest tip option was 18% also not tipping on rude service especially when it's a to go order. I ordered to go 1 quesabirria w cheese and everything on it and 1 birria ramen for my other son @ home; I got 2 quesabirria tacos without cheese and again MISSING BIRRIA RAMEN!
