After some range time, I went to Tequila's Taqueria for some quick lunch. My usual, standard issue trio of Tripas, Al Pastor, and Carne Asada were ordered. This place does get pretty busy during lunch but was able to snuck into a table. Menu was pretty extensive and chips were readily available on the counter. It was just okay. First, their hottest salsa though with proper heat, tasted bland. I enjoyed their verde salsa much better. Carne Asada also tasted a bit bland. The pastor tasted okay; it had good flavor a little different from the usual marinade. And the tripas felt a little short which is a disappointment since this is my favorite meat.

Came here for lunch after a morning at Los Vaqueros! This is my boyfriend's go-to place and I can see why. It's super packed/busy on a Sunday afternoon but we still managed to get a table inside. The service here is amazing. The waitresses are super kind and are always checking in with you. The food itself is also decent. Their shrimp dishes are delicious! My boyfriend got the spicy tomato shrimp plate and I liked it more than the carne asada/shrimp plate. Also a big plus for the free ships and salsa :)

Super burrito $16.53 (with tax)

Been a lunch customer for some years now but never tried their breakfast before! Hubby loves loves loves breakfast burritos and I suggested we try the one here. Base $7.99 + $2.99 meat (optional). We both got chorizo burritos. I like that it comes with a baggy of chips and the salsa is self serve, per usual. Burrito was hot and fresh. I wish it had potatoes though or hash brown coins, I missed that. Other than that, a solid breakfast burrito. Plenty of seating indoors. The Agua frescas were full. While we waited, I observed the staff was cleaning the menus, so that's good to know! I asked one of the workers if they have mariachi and she said yes on Sundays noon-6pm. I love mariachi music as much as hubby loves his breakfast burritos. I hope to check out the mariachi soon and will report back:)

Super wet burrito

You can tell a good spot by the crowd of regulars. Went off of recommendations from others and had the super wet burrito and though it was yummy, it was a bit meat and bean forward. I'll have to try a chicken or veggie super burrito next time. This one was messy!

Service was excellent. We were a party of ten and they pooled a few tables together immediately so we could all sit together. Our drinks were delicious and strong! Fresh juice was used in the margaritas, which is a plus in my books. I ordered the carne asada enchiladas, which were okay. The meat was dry, but everything else had good flavor. I'd return for drinks and probably try something else on the menu.

Super quesadilla?

Phone orders mess everything up unfortunately. We got the wrong food again. This was a super quesadilla that was ordered. Meat tasted good but you need to untie the bag and check everything.

Double Crispy Taco Combo

Amazing! Been here twice now. Today I had the carnitas crunchy taco plate - best carnitas I've had! Meat was tender and had crispy bits. My older son loves the chicken tenders and their orange juice (which tasted like it had some mango in it). My younger son LOVED the horchata and would hardly put it down. My husband tried it and said it was some of the best horchata he's had. Service was friendly and quick. Only downside is it's a bit expensive for a taqueria, but pretty on par for restaurants in Livermore.

My coworkers arranged a luncheon at Tequila's Taqueria to celebrate my return to work after my five week medical leave. I've heard of this established but never had the opportunity to dine here. It's located close to our work and is a popular lunch spot for people working in east Livermore. I ordered the fish tacos and was pleasantly surprised how good they were. The tacos were not typically served with cabbage but instead served just like a carne asada style street taco. My coworkers had everything from a burrito to enchiladas and everyone seemed happy with their food. There is ample seating both inside and outside in the patio.

One of the best taquerias in the Bay Area. Everything is always in point and my family lives it here

Super burrito no guacamole no pico

Honestly very disappointed. $19.23 after tax super burrito no guacamole no pico. My first bite was literally a mouth full of sour cream and cheese. finally when I got to meat and rice, everything was very bland. Salsa was good thank god I asked for some ..20 is a lot for me. I wish I could be refunded but the store is closed. I'll happy bring back the mostly uneaten burrito and update my review if I can be refunded.

Quesadilla - unfortunately the paper gets cut too as you dig into this making it a soggy mess !

Came here for lunch - my colleague had the Tequila burrito and I had the Tequeria Quesadilla. No rice and beans were served with either dish . $15 each ! Taste was pretty bland and unfortunately both were smothered in sour cream taking out whatever other good tastes were in there . Served on paper - would not advise as the contents make the paper soggy aswell ! Below average for a Mexican restaurant in my opinion but atmosphere and loud music was this places one saving grace .

Fish Taco and Beef Taco trio

Underrated place! This taqueria is a must go to! They have everything and anything you are craving for on their menu. Flavors are bursting out with freshness and goodness. They also have a full bar of all sorts of tequilas, vodkas and beer. A little on the pricey side but worth it. Music plays loudly so it's def a fun place to visit. Lots of tables inside and out but it could get really busy during lunch time. Service is very friendly.

I stopped by for lunch today and ordered the MOJARRA FRITA. It was ok but I probably wouldn't order it again. The service was fair.

The ambiance is cute with a small closed off glass area of wine and two seater table inside! Our waitress Dominique was amazing. She was able to give great recommendations for wines and food. She also made us feel taken cared of and was friendly/warm. The food is a mix of mexican/euro/american so there were a lot of different options. Here are the things we got: Appetizers - Parm crusted cauliflower: so good, nice and crunchy but not too heavily breaded. The chipotle mayo was delish - Chicharrones: so light and crispy! They were hot out of the fryer. It had a side of a corn cheese dip that was so good and made it more unique of a dish -- must try if you even kind of eat chicharrones. I don't generally like pork skin but I enjoyed it regardless. - Hamachi ceviche: this is a large sharing portion with chunks of hamachi and avocado. Good but not a must have. Entrees - Enchiladas: very cheesy and overall a good dish but I would skip this. - Shrimp tostadas: large size shrimp and it just comes with two tostadas so I don't think it was worth the price - Barramundi fillet: The fish was tender and juicy. I liked the marinades that came with it. I liked this dish with the rice because it made me feel homey. Good portion of fish. - Agua Chile Ribeye: This is a must have! The ribeye is sous vide so it was soo tender and juicy. The broth was really nice to keep everything moist and flavorful. Because we were celebrating a birthday, Dominique made a dessert with a nice special touch. Will definitely be back again!

She didn't check in on us once, and my husband went most of the meal without water and couldn't even tell her his steak was overcooked. The rest of the staff were wonderful and friendly, as usual. Food was generally good, too. But this visit was lacking service-wise so it'll be a while before we come back.

This is a tough review. I decided to try this little Mexican restaurant that shares the building…read morewith a gas station. The parking was a little weird, but I found a spot and checked it out. There was a party of 4 in front of me ordering at the counter. They serve alcohol, bottled sodas, and have a soda fountain. The place isn't fancy- pretty simple and a little dark but ok. It wasn't inviting enough to stay. The 3 guys working weren't too friendly but I wanted to try the fish taco and a shrimp taco to go. $5.75 seemed a little higher than normal for a taco but I figured the serving may be bigger than most places. After 10 minutes, I picked up my to go order on a paper plate with tin foil which made me chuckle. The fish taco was very good- great flavor, tender fish perfectly cooked. I'd rate it a 5/5. The shrimp taco was much smaller which was odd, but the flavor was also very good. The photo reflects a pretty small taco- and it definitely wasn't worth the price. 2/5 for the price. I would go again for fish tacos if I wanted food to go with no frill.

Hidden GEM!! Learned about this place from another mom on my son's baseball team. She couldn't stop…read moretalking about how good it was and so convenient given how close it is to the baseball fields... So I decided to give it a try. Their super burritos are delicious!! For the size, amount of food and flavor, you cannot beat their prices. I've grabbed burritos from them several times now and we have consistently enjoyed them. While I've done takeout, they do provide the opportunity to sit inside. Don't be fooled by their location; seriously a hidden gem. If you're in the mood for a quick bite, check them out!!

I had the pollo asado, which I thought was quite good. Overall, the food was solid and satisfying, even if it wasn't especially memorable compared to some other Mexican restaurants we've visited. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, creating a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and welcoming, which definitely added to the experience. This is certainly not a place to avoid--we had a good meal and a pleasant visit. It just didn't stand out enough to become one of our personal "must-go" spots. It did feel overpriced for what we got.

I'm not sure what is happening with Casa Orozco. First of all, I want to say myself Nd my family…read morehave been fans since the very ORIGINAL Casa Orozco was in Livermore. Many birthdays and family celebrations have taken place here over the years and one of the family favorites has always been their chips and salsa. We love it so much that often when we are making our own Mexican food at home, we will pick it up just as a side for the dinner. However, the last 6 times (not kidding) I have come and asked for the MILD chips and salsa, we get home and it is the super hot version. Now I'm not a complainer as I will eat any type of salsa, but our kids crave the mild because the hot is too much for them. One of the most common complaints among guests with Casa is that their prices don't match the quality or service. This is a perfect example. It costs nearly $20 for a bag of chips and a quart of salsa and to get home and have it been inedible for our family, is ridiculous. This has happened time and time again even after asking the hosting staff to "double check", "please make sure", "are you sure this is mild?" This obviously isn't the only issue. As many others have mentioned, food quality has gone down hill as a whole. Sometimes food seems stale or rushed. If Casa wants to remain a Livermore staple, it really needs to work on making the quality of their service match their pricing expectations. I am to the point where I guess I will have to dip a chip in the parking lot before taking it home.
