Not a fan unfortunately. The place is nice and clean, there's lots on the menu to choose from, and the service is great, but the food is their downfall. I came here last week with my wife, and we ordered their super burrito with carne asada and I ordered a super quesadilla with al pastor meat. My quesadilla was way too soggy. Their al pastor is basically like beef stew with lots of sweetness from the pineapple juice. It wasn't my type of quesadilla. The super burrito was a good size but the carne asada was like ground beef and it had yellow rice with PEAS!! Like what is this?! I've never seen this before from a burrito. Had dinner at Tequila's and the waiter & waitress were very friendly. I ordered the 3 taco plate with 3 different meats and they were all very good. I also ordered a Jamaica drink and to my surprise it was refillable at most places they are not refillable, so big plus there. My only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the music was way, way too loud!! To the point that it is very likely to cause order mix ups. Went here yesterday evening to grab dinner, since it was local and minutes away! Greeted with music/band which was nice, but cashier could barely hear my order placed. I ordered 2 Super Burritos w/ lettuce & 3 Tocos w/ cheese. When I got home there was hardly any lettuce or sour cream and they forgot the guacamole on both burritos! Very disappointing! The asada tacos were smothered with LOTS of cheese and hardly any meat! Sadly to pay almost $50 and terribly DISAPPOINTED!! After some range time, I went to Tequila's Taqueria for some quick lunch. My usual, standard issue trio of Tripas, Al Pastor, and Carne Asada were ordered. This place does get pretty busy during lunch but was able to snuck into a table. Menu was pretty extensive and chips were readily available on the counter. It was just okay. First, their hottest salsa though with proper heat, tasted bland. I enjoyed their verde salsa much better. Carne Asada also tasted a bit bland. The pastor tasted okay; it had good flavor a little different from the usual marinade. And the tripas felt a little short which is a disappointment since this is my favorite meat. read more

Came here for lunch after a morning at Los Vaqueros! This is my boyfriend's go-to place and I can see why. It's super packed/busy on a Sunday afternoon but we still managed to get a table inside. The service here is amazing. The waitresses are super kind and are always checking in with you. The food itself is also decent. Their shrimp dishes are delicious! I was passing by the area and I was craving a burrito so I found this spot. I didn't know that I would love this place so much. The mojado burrito was the best burrito I ever had! There was so much flavor and meat in the burrito. Also the chips and salsa that we got before our meal was really tasty as well. All my taco meats tasted boiled and can't hardly distinct the flavor from pastor vs chicken or steak; Very strange. $8 for a side of pinto beans is robbery and on top of it, despite selecting no tip for a to go order, I was charged a "handling fee". Chipotle has more flavor - let that sink in. So glad I live in the east bay where I can get proper tacos and sides. read more

Been a lunch customer for some years now but never tried their breakfast before! Hubby loves loves loves breakfast burritos and I suggested we try the one here. Base $7.99 + $2.99 meat (optional). We both got chorizo burritos. I like that it comes with a baggy of chips and the salsa is self serve, per usual. Burrito was hot and fresh. I wish it had potatoes though or hash brown coins, I missed that. Other than that, a solid breakfast burrito. Plenty of seating indoors. The Agua frescas were full. While we waited, I observed the staff was cleaning the menus, so that's good to know! I asked one of the workers if they have mariachi and she said yes on Sundays noon-6pm. Amazing! Been here twice now. Today I had the carnitas crunchy taco plate - best carnitas I've had! Meat was tender and had crispy bits. My older son loves the chicken tenders and their orange juice (which tasted like it had some mango in it). My younger son LOVED the horchata and would hardly put it down. My husband tried it and said it was some of the best horchata he's had. Service was friendly and quick. My threshold for what constitutes good tacos is pretty low and is made lower by the presence of a good beer (thank you, Hazy Little Thing) and the fact that I ordered them for delivery. But these tacos were just gross. Truly unpleasant. Bad enough that I wish I'd gone with the frozen Chinese food in the back of my freezer instead. The al pastor was disappointing. Not particularly flavorful or well-cooked and topped with a disproportionate amount of oil-soaked onions. The restaurant didn't even bother shredding their carnitas (not pictured). Went there for a customer lunch. Great service and food. I ordered the standard beef burrito and the others I was with ordered the super wet burrito (one red sauce other green sauce) and everyone loved their food. Portions are huge so go hungry or try and stop eating halfway through for leftovers. One thing I wish I noticed was the self service salsa bar to garnish the burrito. Mine did not need it, but wish I noticed prior because the homemade salsas are a great addition to your food selection. Next time I am in the area I will make sure to stop again. read more

We went this past Sunday night and it was packed at 6 pm, we were lucky enough to get table, a host found a table for us and gave us menus so we could order at our seats. We got 7 tacos, a tostada, beer and pina colada and it was less than $60. That is so cheap now compared to everywhere else we go for two people to eat dinner is $100. Their pastor tacos were so good, I tried their cabeza too, will order again. The price is really good being that there is soo much shrimp. Chilaquiles bomb! Such a big portion with everything, beans, papas, rice, and the chilaquiles in a really good salsa roja. Food was ok not the worth money. I spent over $700 in this place, we were having a few drinks with friends being respectful, tried to get another bucket of beer and they kicked us out for no reason. I truly adore this place. People are as authentic and warm as the food they're serving! I've had their fried fish for breakfast, their burritos for lunch, and their enchilada Verde for dinner countless times though I'm only getting to review now. They're dependable and efficient for take out but most definitely good for dine in also. It's generally a lively atmosphere with a fairly diverse set of Livermore regulars passing through. Try their bloody Mary or beer for a night cap or have something sweet like their Flan for dessert. You can count on a good time on Friday nights and their weekend mariachi. You'd definitely be supporting local :) It's certainly a gem of Livermore and a great place to stop if you're waiting for Altamont pass traffic to die down. It's literally just off the 580. Food was ok, they messed up 1 out of 4 orders which was mine, no big deal just 3 tacos with onions when I specifically asked for only cilantro. By the time I got my food my table had already finished eating. I have been to many Mexican taquerias/ restaurants & I know mistakes happen but 3 are pretty easy to remake.
