    Breakfast burrito. Spoon for scale.
    Sergio G.

I came here craving a breakfast burrito somewhere close by. I ordered and it took no longer than 5 minutes to make my burrito. Great speed there. They include tortilla chips and salsa. The red salsa was really great and went perfectly with the breakfast burrito. I wish I asked for more! The size was really good for the price too the picture doesn't do it justice but it's sizable for around $10. Overall great experience, no nonsense quick service!

No notes. Salsa, bomb. Burrito, bomb. Limes, juicy. Staff was friendly, service was fast. I also love a place where I can park my chihuahua. Will only wash my car next door to have more burritos.

Very friendly service every time I come here. And the food is very good, too. For a reasonable price. Usually I get my car washed next door, walk over, eat here just in time for my car to be ready. Convenient and delicious every time.

In my Yelp tenure, I have reviewed many carwashes, and the one next door to Los Chiles Locos is no exception. If you're a fan of my reviews or just a casual clicker, you may as well know that I believe all SoCal carwashes have some Achilles Heel, some hubris, some tragic flaw that keeps them from being the ideal. As for the one with whom LCL shares this humble corner in Monrovia, that tragic flaw is that the superior job done on the wash takes FOR...EV....ER. Thus and thus, many a patron has found her/his way over to Los Chiles Locos to pass the time with food sublime. LCL is your classic old school taco shop. Over the years, this spot has had different names and owners, but it seems that the new management has embraced their place in the neighborhood and continue to serve up delicious Mexican fast food. I can't help but order several tacos and a big bean and cheese burrito, all washed down with a huge fountain Coke... darn near every time I visit. While the workers next door are taking an inexplicably long time beating the kid-dust out of my truck's floor mats, I sit down on the colorful old-school vinyl seats and maw. The folks behind the window always hook me up with a few extra hot sauces when I ask. I am El Gigante Picante, after all. Variably, the store has Taco Tuesday specials and other day-of-the-week promotions from time to time, all expertly marketed in window chalk or big signs on the store front. Honestly, I'd come here even without all that love. With a middle school across the street, there are some afternoons where you'll have a little adolescent company if you time it wrong, but overall, this is a great little local spot for those times you don't have a lot of time... or when you seem to have all the time in the world while they put yet another coat of something on your tires......

Was craving Carne Asada nacho fries and I ran across this place. 10/10!! Meat Portion was great. Their guac is fresh. Decent portion of fried. Definitely satisfied my craving. Enjoyed this with a refreshing agua de Horchata.

Quick carne asada taco and chips

This is a quick spot to grab a bite for lunch or if you're drinking late at night lol. Taco was a 7-10 reason for that was the meat didn't seem to be the best quality. Chips were very good and salsa. This is a little mom and pop spot. Will return, and most likely try something else. Service was mediocre, give it try.

Carne Asada is just chewy fat. I didn't even finish half my food. Don't waste your time or money.

I swapped the lemon raspberry pancakes for plain buttermilk and they were incredibly fluffy and good. The thin sliced potatoes with green peppers were super flavorful. The scrambled eggs and Italian sausage were cooked perfectly. My server, Shaq, provided excellent customer service, Love the name, Shaq the man! I sat outside and absolutely loved the patio with tables. Their menu mentions lunch and dinner, but they serve an amazing breakfast from 7 AM to 2 PM that is a must try! I will definitely be back!

My daughter had the eggs, sausage links, hashbrowns, and toast. She also had a hot chocolate, which looked amazing. All of the food and drinks were delicious. The plates were enormous and the helpings large. Most plates are about $20 but you do get a lot of food. If you come with somebody and split a plate, the cost, of course becomes minimal. Service is excellent. They have plenty of employees on staff to help with everything you need. We came on a Saturday morning, which is a busy time, but was able to get seated and served quickly. In the way of ambience, they have a lot of license plates, freeway type signs and other signage throughout the facility. It is very neat and clean and the decor is actually very nice.! If you are in Monrovia, I recommend you stop into this place for breakfast, you won't be disappointed!

Even though the place was buzzing with energy and clearly a local favorite, the team handled the weekend crowd seamlessly. The staff was incredibly attentive, welcoming, and fast, making the entire experience feel smooth from start to finish. Since there were five of us, we ordered a variety of dishes to share family-style, which turned out to be the best decision. The absolute star of the table was the pancakes--they are truly outstanding! They nailed both the texture and the flavor: golden on the outside, insanely fluffy on the inside, and rich without feeling overly heavy. The waffles were equally delicious, holding a fantastic crisp on the edges while remaining light in the center. To top it all off, the drink selection was top-tier. Whether you get their specialty coffees or refreshing iced beverages, or even hot tea. Every drink was crafted with care and tasted wonderful alongside the sweet and savory brunch items. It's rare to find a busy weekend brunch spot where both the food and the service shine this brightly. We will definitely be back!

Don't underestimate the size of the cup because it does hit you after 2 cups. I would say it was worth to get brunch here because of this option. Great balancing meal if you want something on the lighter end. Monte Cristo: This was a big dish was huge or the other dish was small and it comes with a side. We sat at a table by the front window facing the main drag. The area definitely has an old town feel with many restaurants and shops up and down the street. There is also a park right across the street. There is plenty of parking around the corner on the street and in a nearby lot. I started out with the Coughlin's Law cocktail (Aviation gin, house infused vanilla syrup, fresh lemon, egg white, lavender bitters, $16). It was a good light drink with light vanilla and lemon flavor. I always love a good foam top too. She started out with a Basil Paloma (Herradura silver tequila, muddled basil & grapefruit, fresh grapefruit juice, lime, simple syrup, seltzer, $15). It had good grapefruit and basil flavor, and was nicely balanced. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower appetizer ($14). The cauliflower was supposed to be grilled, but it seemed almost raw. The buffalo sauce definitely had a good kick. For my entrée, I had the Black Angus Basin Burger (manchego cheese, carmelized onions, arugula, special sauce, brioche bun, $19). The burger was excellent. The cheese, carmelized onions, and arugula was a great flavor combo. The fries were good, but I'd order them more crispy next time. She had the two taco plate with fish and potato tacos ($15). The taco shells were freshly fried, and it was a filling plate that she enjoyed. We had one more round of drinks and I had the Billionaire cocktail (Old Forrester 100 proof bourbon, lemon, house made grenadine, absinthe, $16). This was excellent. It was very balanced, and not boozy at all with a very light sweetness. Her second was the Smoke and Fire (Peloton de la Muerte mezcal, Ancho Reyes liqueur, muddled jalapeno & orange, fresh lime, agave, chili salt, $15). It was pretty well balanced with a medium smokiness. It definitely had a kick of heat on the finish. Our server Lakyn was friendly and provided good service. The menu prices are cash prices. There is an extra 3.5% surcharge if you pay with a credit card. The buffalo cauliflower appetizer was mostly a miss, but everything else was very good so I'm rounding up to five stars. They have a very good sized cocktail and food menu, as well as many beers on tap. They also have happy hour specials. We would definitely return if we were in the area again.

Not once did anyone ask us to leave or make us feel like we had overstayed our welcome. We know staying that long after closing is inconsiderate, and it was never our intention.
