We used Los Dos for our wedding catering for around 140 people. They could not have been better - They invited us to the restaurant for multiple tastings, kept us involved in the process leading up to the wedding, and catered the whole thing with ease. There were no hiccups and everything went so smoothly - On top of that, our guests came up to us raving about the food. Some said it was the best Mexican food they've ever had! We already go to Los Dos often, but we will continue to do so because we love the food and the people so much. We just had lunch at the Highlands Ranch location today and what a horrible experience!!! My husband ordered tacos Al Carbone and only two of the tacos had meat in them. We told the waiter and he sent over the manager Jose who was anything but professional. He pretty much told us it was our fault for not dividing out the meat properly. The plate comes with three tacos so apparently it's not the kitchens job to give the customers three tacos? Not to mention it took us 45 minutes to even get our food in the middle of lunch with nobody in the restaurant. The service was horrendous we will definitely never go back. read more

Stopped in around 1:30pm and asked if they could accommodate a group of 13 for 6:30pm that same day. The day manager and hostess informed me that they don't take reservations but said they would open up their patio and could seat us then. Upon arriving at 6:15 they said it would be an hour wait and there was no way they could seat us as a group. Terrible attitudes from all at the front of the house. I have been dining at this location for over 5 years and the service and food is top notch. We always ask for Jose, best server at the restaurant and that's saying a lot because the staff is all very nice but Jose is next level. We've tried other places but always end up coming back. I didn't understand until I ate here. I feel like this is the closest you're going to get to California Mexican food out in Colorado. The servers and hostess are always extremely friendly. The food comes out fast when you dine in. A lot of times I pick up my order - on busy nights you'll get a busy signal and won't be able to get through for a while. I recommend eating early those days. Inside is really cute and hand-painted everywhere. It's always very clean and well staffed. My favorite thing so far is the cheese bacon wrapped shrimp plate. My favorite Mexican restaurant went out of business about a year ago and desperately, I was on the search for a new one when I finally decided to try Los Dos. I fell in love. My boyfriend and I come all the time and as silly as it sounds, our favorite things to get are the quesadillas! I can handle spice, I adore spice, but something about the quesadillas just makes me feel so at home here. The service is on and off. Some servers have put their whole heart into making our experience special, while others made it quite difficult, but I don't let that ruin my time. What's important is that I'm eating with my special people. Also the salsa is to die for and I seriously go through, like three little bowls of it, hah!! It was my first time there so I had so many questions and he answered all my questions, he even brought my husband and I a sample of the sauce used for the plates I was inquiring about.
