I tried the Wednesday margarita special and the appetizer chili cheese nachos. The nachos do not come with meat just what's called a chili meat sauce. I was unimpressed by the Margarita of course it was premixed premade, and did not pop. Additionally didn't seem to have much of any tequila in it. Thank you. I understand restaurants are trying to survive by cutting costs. This chili cheese nacho dish was on impressive and I think for the amount of money that it cost to make they could've presented something more significant. The atmosphere is quite what one would expect This business is OK and I have visited several times. What a beautiful location in Sugarland, TX. This restaurant sits back off the main road and has a lake to the side and behind... their patio has a beautiful water fountain and trees . This location also has an awesome party space perfect for those special occasions. The food is spectacular, made to order with large portions and plenty of TO GO containers because one meal can turn into three meals. The cost is very reasonable and the staff makes your dining experience so wonderful that YOU WILL WANT to return. This restaurant also has an amazing drink menu and their margaritas are extremely tasty and top notch! I can honestly say their menu of food & drinks is the best I have seen with my happy stomach to back this up. Absolutely terrible experience. I ordered a meal expecting something decent, but when I started eating, I found a piece of roach hidden inside my food that had no business being there. It was disgusting and completely ruined my appetite. I will never be coming back to this restaurant. read more

Los Gallitos is my favorite Mexican restaurant here in Sugar Land! They have a kids play set so if you know your kids will want to play then you have the option to sit outside. We sat outside and it was spacious and very relaxing. Along with the play set, there is a lake in the back which is a great view. Their food is great too, tastes authentic and for a good price. The waitress Christine is AMAZING! She is incredibly patient and goes the extra mile for her customers. read more

This is a cute restaurant! When you first walk in it looks small but there's a back area and even a patio area with a nice water fountain. The servers and waitresses were very nice and on it! We got the octopus plate, steak fajitas and 2 margaritas....the margaritas were 2 for 5 on Wednesday...the Rita's gave me a lil buzz so that was good,lol. The octopus came with two octopus. The fajitas were ok. I has to pay an extra 5 dollars for a little scoop of sour cream and shreded cheese for my son...which I would have did without if I knew it was that much. My sister, my son and myself all loved all the plates we got. The tostada ceviche chefs kiss- super fresh. We decided to give this place a try since we just moved into the neighborhood (we normally go to LOS TIOS). I ordered a skinny margarita with casamigos and honestly i was terrible... and the manager decides to charge me $55 for a margarita that's normally $12-15????" Because I asked for premium tequila??? Lunch shortly after they opened, few customers. Excellent food, attentive service. The ice tea was not instant as is becoming common. They do a stuffed avocado thing that is excellent. Also huge shrimp cocktail, well a huge container anyway. Not sure it had any more shrimp than elsewhere, but well prepared and fancy appearance. Dips really enjoyable. Green with a bit of spice, red kept warm and a bit chunky, not too spicy. MUZAK a bit loud for my taste, but not objectionable, and would likely not have noticed if more customers present. I liked that they do not add tip to bill as so many places are now doing. I am capable of calculating appropriate tip and adding it. read more

This place was fantastic! Margaritas are probably the best I've had and the food was great. Everyone was so friendly and the service was fast. If you have kids and want to actually enjoy your meal, this is the place to be. They have a great playground that's fenced in and there's a beautiful view of the water-- it's a win win. Ceviche is shrimp only. It was ok. Bland. Needed more salt and I'm a person who under salts food... the vegetables were clearly added to the marinaded shrimp after. I'm sure this is to keep that fresh but it adds part of the flavor when it marinates. Lots of cucumber which is nice and fresh. No prices on their drink menu. Annoying. Couldn't find a typical tex mex chili con carne enchilada. Maybe I missed it. I skipped ordering to go for dinner. read more

I soon as we walk into the restaurant there was two servers talking one of them was on her cell phone while we waited for help , bartender was just looked at us without help us neither . Finally someone came to help us . My bestie along with the hubbies get together once a month and try out a new place. We've been doing this since last October to get out of the house. A nice patio is a must. Service was not the best. Waitress was hard to understand and I think she had a hard time understanding us. Kuddos to her cause she's at least out there trying. Place is by the water & there's ducks running around. Trees were shedding a lot, didn't bother me but I know it bothered others. Drinks were okay. Maybe a little pricey. Food was really good. We'll be back. Liked the feel. Oh, did I mention that we got to watch someone get married down at the gazebo. They were also having the reception there. That was so fun to watch. read more

OMG I LOVE LOS GALLITOS. I'm a teenager now, but I still get the beef fajita taco from the kids menu. OMG ITS DELICIOUS. The playground is rlly lame, but my best friend's sister broke her arm on it, so I guess it's for the best. My parents say the margaritas are delicious. The bathroom is low key decorated weird, but it is really clean. I LOVE THE VIBE OUTSIDE, but it is FREEZING inside. And the food's kinda expensive. read more

Not the worst Mexican food I've ever had, but close to it. We sat outside on the patio and that is where the good stopped. Yes, it had a reasonably nice view, but we came for the food and it was pitiful. Two of us had "blancas enchiladas" and we both had similar comments. The presentation was poor and the white queso on top almost looked like it was plastic. It was barely warm and it was on top of an undercooked tortilla that wrapped some rather flavorless chicken. It came with rice and beans. I didn't have any of the beans, but the rice was also lukewarm and it looked like it had been scooped out with an ice cream scoop and patted down hard, which also gave it an almost fake food booking appearance. The service was average, at best. There are a lot of good Tex-Mex restaurants in the area, so I suggest you skip this one and give others a try. read more

There's a lot to talk about here. Let's start with their chips and salsa, it's amazing. The salsa has to be some of the best salsa I've had... ever. The service is always friendly and the atmosphere is very nice. They have a beautiful outdoor eating area that faces a small pond and at night it's lit up so beautifully and has great ambience. I really enjoy the poblano chicken. The chicken is so tender and the poblano sauce is very flavorful. I was not a fan of the cheese enchiladas, because the cheese was very oily, tasted processed and waxy. Also the rice was not good at all. However, the refried beans and the charro were delicious. I absolutely love the homemade flour tortillas. They were big and soft. They complemented the fajita meat perfectly. The beef fajita meat is so flavorful and is very very delicious. It's not the highest caliber of meat, but it is good. This is a great spot for lunch, dinner, families or even a date night. read more

We were excited to try this place because we have 2 kids and they have a playground. Super underwhelmed with the entire place They had live music but it was too loud. Food was way overpriced for what it was. My kid had recently had a queso kick and all it was like concession stand cheese. He didn't touch it at all. Waiter wasn't super attentive as well. We've passed by this place dozens of times and my husband and I finally gave it a try on Monday during luch while we had off from work for President's Day. We are kicking ourselves for not trying this place sooner! Beautiful restaurant, very friendly and welcoming staff, very clean, strong and tasty drinks, excellent tasting and quailty food, and excellent music. Weather was a little muggy this time, but next time we are definitely eating out on the patio area that faces the lake. We enjoyed lunch specials which were huge servings and a very good value as well as delicious. Margaritas were top notch and were on a happy hour special. This is going to be our new regular spot for mexican food and drinks. Oh and the tortillas are freshly made in house and the salsas (red and green) were among the best we have ever had. I spoke to the manager Juan the day after my complaint. He told me to come back any day and ask for him and he would give me another order on the house. I told him I was not looking for anything free but was just upset that service had declined. He apologized and said to stop by at my convenience.
