The bartender has repeatedly made me feel unwelcome. He's a white bald guy that treats me as if he hates anyone besides his regular favorites! Every time I visit, I am largely ignored while regular customers receive attentive, friendly service. He rarely checks back to see if our food is okay, whether we need refills, or if there's anything else we need. On multiple occasions, our order has been taken carelessly and has been incorrect. What has been especially upsetting is watching him go out of his way to serve his regular customers--bringing them complimentary drinks, checking on them frequently, and making them feel valued--while we are treated as though we don't matter. I have even been asked to move tables so his regular customers could be accommodated. I've been a customer here for two years, yet I've never been made to feel like I belong. Instead, I've consistently felt judged, stereotyped, and treated differently from others. Whether intentional or not, the pattern of behavior has left me feeling that I was treated unfairly because of who I am....feel like this place is racist! A restaurant should make every guest feel welcome, respected, and valued. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience here. I can overlook the occasional mistake, but I cannot overlook repeatedly being made to feel invisible. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that every customer is treated with the same level of courtesy and respect. I would say a little over three stars. They have a decent menu with what screams American diner food. It does look like they serve breakfast all day, which is good. I ordered the crab melt because I was curious, and it wasn't bad, but just kind of like a crab cake that didn't have much crab in it on a sandwich. It had avocado and cheese, was tasty, but I didn't taste much of the crab. I did like how you could get soup, salad, or fries as the side, and the side salad was really nice. Service was a little random, waitress walked by our empty water glasses a few times before I asked for more water. Also, one of the busboys was dropping stuff on the floor. Maybe this was meant to be a slapstick thing? Just seemed a little sloppy/disorganized. Interior is nice. Lots of parking nearby. Just a really solid family restaurant with a nice little bar and breakfast served all day. The staff is always incredibly kind and service is quick. My kiddos typically get the silver dollar pancakes with bacon and egg ($10) on the kids menu and I'm a fan of the Joes Special ($20) which can be had with pancakes instead of toast. Don't get me started on the pancakes wow they're absolutely delicious. The bar does sometimes get a little rowdy which isn't my favorite thing but alas some people want to have cocktails. Just be mindful when the bar area is hopping the restaurant gets really loud. There's no real separation between bar and dining room which can be a touch annoying when you're trying to have dinner and folks are tilting back drinks mere feet away. read more

The Denver omelette was cooked well, with all the ingreidents inside cooked well to one's satisfaction. The beef was thinly sliced and lightly seasoned. It didn't really work together for this breakfast meal I'm having at lunch. Loved the hash browns though. It has a nice crispy layer. - Bone in ribeye comes with salad, mashed potatoes, and side of steamed veggies. The steak is cooked to order with excellent grill marks but you have to add your own salt as it came unseasoned. It was also cut a little thin for my liking. My friend raved so much about this ribeye that I had too high expectations. I'm sorry but I'd rather go to LB steakhouse for ribeye. Service (4.5 stars) + I forget her name, but the waitress helping us has a great smile, and attitude. She kept asking if all is well and shared juicy restaurant gossip. + Food came out in a reasonable time. I was able to have my lunch within the hour. Ambiance (4.5 stars) + It's a decent diner with elegant light fixtures and slightly updated furnishings. There's a bar with sports on the tv, booth style seating and a typical diner counter. I had the crab melt, which was excellent; it comes with a choice of salad, soup, or French fries. I chose the salad, and it was very good. They don't have honey mustard dressing here, so I had the Thousand Island. My friend had the banana pancakes and a side of bacon. The portion of pancakes was huge, with plenty of sliced bananas and whipped cream. Somehow, he managed to eat most of it. The service was excellent. Our food arrived quickly with our sides arriving first. My soup was the fideo chicken and it was delicious. The salad my hubby ordered looked really good and it was big. On the upside, the garlic fries came in a huge portion--definitely shareable. I really liked the tempura green beans--crispy and well-seasoned. The chicken wings were also a win: nice and crispy with good flavor. The Swedish crepe was pretty good--light and satisfying. As for the salad, I'm not sure it was worth the price for what you get. We haven't been here since they first opened years ago, and everything has improved since then. The food exceeded expectations, even better than a lot of breakfast spots. We dine at very high-end restaurants on a weekly basis, and love balancing the experience with warm hospitality at a place that cares about the local community. I ended up dousing it in Tabasco, ranch, A1, and ketchup to get variety between bites. The ciabatta roll tasted stale and they could've at least toasted it to mask the staleness.. The fries were extremely greasy and overcooked. They were brown vs. the nice golden yellow. Service is extremely slow/non-existent. The manager (?) on shift (gentleman wearing a colored polo vs the all-black attire) was extremely lax in front of patrons and I can see why the other workers are all chit chatting amongst themselves and not doing their jobs. It took forever for the food to come and it also took forever for us to get the bill. Not once did anyone come around to refill our water cups. The first time I came was 9 months ago. I notice that since then I have not stop coming, any time I can I come , especially in the mornings. Let me tell you that this place has always been very comfortable to me since I started eating here. I have been here with my family and my work team. The reason is because every single worker here, all of them are so nice and kind to everyone. I notice regular faces here more all the time and I can see why. Food is good, fresh, delicious and is worth the price. Customer Service is amazing and the manager must be so happy with his team. We always see Edgar, Beto, Steven and the manager Miguel. They are always very helpful and not only them but everyone, I need to learn their names lol. Every Person That I Have brought here just keeps coming back. This tells you a lot. I was a bit let down by my experience here on a Sunday morning. It had all the hustling and bustling of a busy brunch spot so I thought this place must be good for so many people to come in and out. As a solo diner sitting at the bar, I realize sometimes service can be a bit different than table service. I sat at the bar for 10 minutes or more waiting for service, luckily football was on so I was able to watch something to pass the time. I thought about leaving but I felt like I needed to stick it out based on the reputation and recommendation that was given to me. The runners/expos during that time passed looks of judgement and would often stare at me while I was waiting for service. Never once asked if I had been helped or wanted a glass of water. Once I was finally waited in I know exactly what I wanted so there was no give me a minute to look at the menu. I went with the breakfast burrito and an Arnold Palmer to drink. The breakfast burrito was okay. The flavor of the chorizo was lacking and the way it was assembled, biting into it was like biting into mush. The hashbrowns were dry and overcooked. At the end my waitress did apologize for the wait and service and comped my drink. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, maybe it was an off day? But the expectations I had for this place fell short. The booth table was kinda cramped for three people, but we managed to fit ourselves in. We ordered Egg benedict, Meat Lovers, and Fried Calamari. Portion was huge, but besides that, I didn't like the food. Fried Calamari was so dried, chewy and doesn't taste fresh. It was also tasteless, no seasoning at all.
