Authentic as you can get. The music added to a festive atmosphere. Friendly patient staff. Order at the tall counter and food will be brought to your table. Come hungry. The best part was adding your toppings and sauces by your self. The fresh chunks of radish were delicious. We ordered 3 kinds of tacos(gone in no time), a burro(very thick, large ; Hubs ate my other half), 2 horchatas(sorry we only took a few sips) and roasted onions & jalapeños. Hubs couldn't resist the onions. I'm not sure if they'd get a green pass back home cuz their floor is gravel and rubble. You can't come for the ambiance cuz it's bare bones unmatched chairs with fluorescent lighting. and a couple flies.

This is a great, casual place to enjoy some tacos. There is even a buffet here on the weekends! You order first and pay after you eat. Pros: -friendly staff -fresh ingredients -I love that their salsa is spicy and has a kick to it Cons: -n/a

Fresh grilled onions and jalapeño. Perfectly cooked.

Food was excellent! The fresh grilled onions and jalapeño pepper was a great touch. Had the caramelos, outstanding. I wish i was staying in the area longer so i could try their breakfast buffet on Saturday. Wish we could get great cooking like this at my home state.

Great spot for some homemade Mexican food!! Highly recommend the breakfast burrito with bacon, egg, cheese, potato and beans.

Went today and didn't see a buffet option other reviews from a year ago are mentioning, but Los Mezquites was hands down the best place I ate at while visiting Tucson (I ate a lot lol). You may miss and drive past this spot, so watch for the mesquite smoke on the side of the road! This restaurant is on gravel with a tent set up, but the main attraction is the chef multitasking; on the grill or chopping carne asada and tripas on the wooden plank. The condiment bar was fully stocked and all of the sauces were delicious. I ordered one Lorenzo carne asada (tostado with refried beans and carne asada) and two carne asada tacos. The tacos were so damn good, I ordered two more and was lucky enough to get a grilled jalapeño and onions! They fill the tacos with so much meat, they give you an extra tortilla on the bottom to catch any meat that spills over lol. The sweet lady only speaks Spanish and the only thing I could say to her was delicioso and duerme. I literally left in a euphoric state. Way to end my visit to Tucson!

This was a solid Thai food experience! I'd probably give it closer to 4.5 stars but rounded up…read more We got the pad see ew with chicken, the teriyaki chicken and the green curry. All we're flavorful, with well cooked veggies, meat an rice/noodles - nothing overcooked and everything seemed high quality and fresh. The curry had lots of fun flavor notes and came with fluffy rice. The pad see ew could've used a little more sauce but was sweet and savory in the way you hope pad see ew will be. The portions were reasonable too, with 3 dishes ending up with enough leftovers for lunch for 2 people the next day. We'll definitely add this into our takeout rotation!

I'll start by saying that the Tom Kha soup here is by far the best in Tucson in my opinion. I tried…read moreevery it at every single Thai restaurant in town and for me, no other come close to how good it is here. Tart and well balanced with all the flavors of galangal, kaffir lime leaves and spice. Not overly sweet. It comes with mushrooms and I get it with fried tofu or vegetables (they now charge extra to do half and half unfortunately and it's already a little pricey) I alway get Tom Kha at the highest spice level. It's not very spicy here but consistently good. I ask them for Chilli crisp sauce on the side and love to put it in the soup too. Solid 5 stars from me for the Tom Kha soup here! I really miss their old location 4 Seasons where they had it served in a hot pot and had the picnic tables outside. At this new location now they only have disposable dishes and no outside seating. While I find the Tom Kha really perfect here, other dishes are a little less consistent for me. for example last time I got the red curry it was very watery and not quite as good. I did really like their pumpkin curry here too. If you enjoy spice I recommend getting the highest spice level here (5/5), it's definitely far below the spice level of many Thai restaurants. At their previous location I really enjoyed the fresh rolls with tofu but I have yet to get them at the new location. Oh and they are vegan and vegetarian friendly in my experience. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

We made a reservation well in advance and even then there were limited time options. The atmosphere of the restaurant is slightly upscale while still being cozy. I love all the plants! Our server was very knowledgeable and was able to give several recommendations. We ordered the grilled and chilled beets and the steak skewers for appetizers. The beets and everything that came with them was very fresh! I love anything with pickled onions. The steak appetizer was excellent and my dad could not stop talking about them. Next, I ordered the swordfish special and my dad got the pork chop. Everything was cooked to perfection and flavor was everywhere! For dessert we split the dark chocolate ganache. The ganache was very rich but paired wonderfully with the whipped cream and other flavors. I don't drink, but my dad also loved the cocktails he ordered! If Tito & Pep has been on your list do not hesitate any longer. I very much regret not coming here sooner and I highly recommend giving it a try!
