Friendly staff and yummy food. Pescatarian friendly. We ordered the nachos (subbed the meat for avocado). It was delicious. Not spicy. Next time I'd request less onion. I live in Vegas, but once a week I come out to mesquite for work. And this place is all I can think about. It makes the drive worth coming out here. I usually get the huge California burrito and add chipotle sauce to it. The fries inside the burrito stay crispy which is key! And carne asada nachos is sooo bomb. This place has changed hands. They used to be so great and now, its always empty in there and not surprised. They used to have a great selection of a "salsa" bar, with condiments and sides. Well thats gone. Also, they have NO AC! You can't stand to sit in there and eat as its so hot. So what are they thinking???? You can't have a restaurant here and no AC, and expect people to buy your food, except for take out. They are always dead now inside. They will go out of business if they keep this up. Food is ok, but they are going deeper into oblivion in my opinion. Turn your AC back on. When asked, they say its broken..... Get a clue or close shop. read more

I've eaten Mexican food all my life, and one of the ways you can tell a restaurant knows what they're doing is when they make their own sauces. SO much better than canned or jarred. My husband and I stopped to have some enchiladas at this little place in Mesquite. It doesn't look like much and it's in a strip mall, but the sauce on the enchiladas was the BOMB. My red sauces had dark little flakes in it, evidence the restaurant made it, and was so smooth and delicious. My husband's green sauce had tiny chunks of tomatillos and was sour and a little hot, just like you want green sauce to be. The owner's son cooked the food and served it, and he was a delight to talk to. This place needs to survive, so go eat their food! read more

Good food, could be a bit warmer though, the cheese in my burrito didn't even melt. My biggest issue is that the food is pretty bland, normally the sauces make up for this, but they don't have sauces out for you to self-serve (probably due to Covid). First visit I had cheese enchiladas. They were yummy. Came with rice and beans. Did even need salsa. I did the red sauce because they said green was really spicy. My husband had a California burrito and it was huge. Second time I ordered the 3 tacos with carne asada. They came with 2 corn tortillas and enough meat to make six tacos. Husband had chicken burrito and said it was even better than the first one. Needless to say, we will be going back. read more

We've eaten Mexican all over, but never found GREAT Mexican food in Mesquite until today. All the rest in town is adequate, but never good enough to frequent on the regular. Our lunch was awesome! I had a carnitas burrito that was hot, fresh and delicious, the best I've ever had! The carnitas was flavorful and CRISPY, beans were WHOLE and the pico FRESH! My husband had the carnitas tacos and, again, delicious! The only way to make it better would be a pitcher of strong margaritas and maybe a salsa bar, but it's a taqueria not a full fledged restaurant. I'll be happy to pick up our meals and make the margaritas at home! read more
