First time here in years, I missed this amazing place. Arizona burrito for life! 20 years ago this place was a tiny hole in the wall that few knew about. Now it's bustling every time I come in here. My family and I love this place, we started going to here years ago and never have stopped. I love the enchiladas, my Son can't get enough of the Chorizo burritos, and my wife loves the street tacos. Still open for takeout during COVID19. We've been coming to this place for years. My kids like their beans and rice and they don't eat rice normally at all. The quesadillas and carnitas street tacos are great. The burritos are big. They were on Diners, Driveins, and Dives several years ago. The food is legit. read more

This place is a joke. Got my food home and I literally live around the corner and my food was barely warm. Actually the shrimp in my taco was not warm at all. There was huge chunks of jalapeño in my taco too. My carne taco was overloaded with red onions and cilantro that I couldn't even finish it. My beef enchilada was not hot just warm, not all the cheese was melted. Unfortunately this place had gone down significantly. The guacamole taste like it has peas in it or something. The Al Pastor is always too runny. Their beans are still the bees knees. The service isn't really great either. We used to order from here at least once every 7-10 days at my work but now it's out of our rotation. read more

This is a place that I've been to several times and they're always consistent. I always order three shrimp tacos and my husband usually gets the quesadilla but ordered tacos as well. I've had their guacamole and it always seems watery so I stopped ordering it. They have a good happy hour menu and a selection of their tacos are even cheaper. read more

I went on Taco Tuesday for some great tacos. They were very open to customizing my own toppings. The cashier was very knowledgeable and very friendly. We went there because the place was highlighted on Triple D from the Food network. It did not disappoint. The ambiance is no frills. But the food was very good and reasonably priced. read more

They took our orders with a smile although for my Nana's and I first time it wasn't spectacular. You sit yourself down. My nana ordered red chicken enchiladas, the rice was bland and a lil hard in the middle and mushy on the outside, the beans were salty but not bad honestly. The chicken was so dry I'm surprised my nana didn't choke. A lot of elders eat here too, kinda scary. I ordered cheese enchiladas with green sauce, the cheese is low grade. It doesn't melt and it wasn't gooey or anything. They must be on a cheese budget because there's was barely any cheese too. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing. We usually joke about what will be wrong with our order each time we go. They close early some nights and won't take your order if it's close to closing time. read more

I order the exact same burrito each time i come but the price is always different. Sometimes i am charged $9 and sometimes $11. A $2 difference is a pretty big gap. Every time i ask why the difference and i get a different response! If yall are using the same system to take orders why is there a $2 difference each time? read more

Los Taquitos has been bookmarked for awhile now and we finally went! I was surprised how big the place was, it doesn't look very big from the parking lot. We went on a Friday around noon and it wasn't too busy. The shop is decorated nicely and very clean. The girls at the register were very friendly! What we ordered: -fish tacos -carnitas taco -pastor taco -asada taco -bean & cheese burrito -chips & salsa The bean and cheese burrito was pretty solid. Good balance of beans and cheese, however the tortilla fell apart rather quickly and I was l left with a pile of beans. The fish tacos were good, easily our favorite! I wasn't a fan of the carnitas, too fatty. My husband said he really enjoyed the pastor and the asada. We ordered chips and salsa but it wasn't worth it. The chips were too thick and almost tasted stale. The salsa were interesting... the red was smoky but really lacking flavor and salt. The green was good! Spicy! But not really a salsa I would dip chips in. It was great on the burrito. The burrito came with pico de gallo on the side which we used for the chips instead. It was a good experience, pretty good food, cool atmosphere and we will most likely be back for a margarita sometime. read more

I've been a regular now for about a year. Initially, I was a huge fan. However, I'm starting to go lukewarm on this place. I feel like with every order the quality decreases in terms of the quality of the food items and the service. I'll start with service: my last three orders have all included mistakes. The meats were reversed in one order. Missing habanero salsa on the next order. Today I ordered the rice and beans quesadilla combo and asked for all beans with no rice. Got all rice with no beans (see picture). That is a $0.50 cent upgrade but I don't care about the cost. The issue: this order started with a bean craving! I ordered a whole bunch of other food to surround my beans and got no beans! Food quality: steak quesadilla had generous amount of meat but was light on cheese and the meat was a bit dry (as it has been lately). Three stars. Food quality: the al pastor burrito is OK. First off, it is probably adobada and not al pastor. Two of the four bites I took were chewy/tough. None of those bites included cheese. Three stars. I will update the review if the rest of the burritos warrants more/less stars. Maybe I need to go to the restaurant to get the quality food I used to like instead of ordering Grubhub. read more

This restaurant shares a parking lot with Safeway, so there are plenty of places to park (although beware, as your car can still be keyed, like mine was during my visit). The food was decent. I wasn't entirely blown away by it, but the flavoring on the meat in all my tacos were pretty good. The sides tasted pretty average. I think my favorite part about this restaurant was the artwork on the walls. The restaurant was pretty empty when I visited and from what I can tell, it appeared spotless. Service was decent. My husband wanted me to try this place since he really liked it on his first visit. We got the carne asada tacos, chicken tacos, carnitas, posole and the carne asada burrito. I wish they would use the same carne asada that's in the burrito and put it in the tacos. That meat in the burrito is phenomenal!!! The meat on our tacos was not. Kinda chewy and dry. The posole was delicious! Definitely coming back for that. What happened to this place? I stopped with my family for a takeout order. It took almost 30 minutes to get our food and while we're we're waiting, we could hear the staff bickering with each other in the kitchen while the counter staff stood around and hardly moved. when we opened the bag when we got home, we were missing a bowl and my son's burrito was soggy and disgusting. We stopped in while on break from my husbands show at cactus jacks. The two ladies in the front where very nice, great customer service! He is very allergic to pineapples and they were so nice in letting us know that it is cooked with and possible smaller pieces inside. So instead we went with 2 tacos plates I order 2 asada and a shrimp and he order 2 asada and a carnita. We both agreed the asada was the best hands down. The shrimp was okay but there wasn't any seasoning or flavor to it. They were clean and quick and professional and I appreciate that!! read more

First time visit. I got the Carne Asada burrito. The burrito was good however the menu is misleading. It says burritos come with onions, cilantro, and salsa however when I bit into my burrito there were also beans in it. I didn't mind the beans however it seems like adding the beans was offset the little bit of Carne asada they gave you. For a $7.50 burrito I'd expect more, especially when I can drive another 5 mins to another Mexican restaurant and get a fat Carne Adasa burrito for $6 read more

Well I'm sad to say I need to do an update to my review. The food is still good and still reasonably priced. But the customer service is just so off that it kind of makes the experience not worth it to go. What I mean is the new upfront girls that take your order just seem to be rude. Its almost like your bothering them and they kind of have attitude... I hear them gossiping about other customers and I am literally standing right there. We came here on a whim and the last time we tried they were closed. I am glad made another attempt to try this place because it was delicious! We tried the fish tacos, shrimp tacos and carne asada tacos. They were all very good and the shrimp and fish were especially fresh! The rice and beans were authentic tasting like we make at home! I was pleasantly impressed. The food all taste fresh and there were generous portions of protein which I can definitely appreciate. The price was fair as well. I tried three different types of meat and my favorite meat is their red chili beef. My complaints, when your order is ready, the hostess/cashier stands at the end of the counter and screams out the order number in a very screechy annoying voice which takes away from the ambience. They are constantly upping the prices little by little. 3 LITTLE (not medium or large sized) carne asada tacos with rice/beans now cost $11 !!! Which is more than most Mexican joints I know or go to. What you get is not worth $11. I was told this was due to asada being so popular but there's no reason why 3 tacos should cost more than a burrito or a sandwich or cost more than half the menu.... VERY disappointed in the management behind this decision. If they needed the money they could have spread that increase across the menu or getting rid of menu items instead of jacking up the price 10 fold at the customer expense. Unfortunately I'll only be coming back here for the beans. . . Lol the food is good but not $11 good. Such a shame I tell EVERYONE about this place and how good it is for a decent price that doest cost an arm and a leg but I've seen this place become less and less busy due to the prices and the quantity it gets you, and now I won't be able to say that. Literally used to recommend this spot to everyone. Even people I didn't know. I have sent tens of people here. The last 3-4 visits have left a horrible taste in my mouth. The counter staff is indifferent, impatient to orderers and sometimes rude. The food portions are smaller and prices are ticking up. If they say 25-30 wait expect 45-60, not kidding. I really like the chicken burrito which I eat with the red salsa. But their tacos are authentic and so is the horchata.

I always ordered the Carne Asada Burrito. It has always been fantastic. Lately my last two orders have been awful. The grease is literally dripping from from the burrito. The tortilla is soaked in grease. The meat is soaked in grease. The meat does not seem to be the high quality that it has been before. Lots of gristle and fat. In fact, the last two times this grease upset my stomach. I thought I was going to get sick. I wonder what has changed ? Cheaper meat, a new cook, how it's cooked. Whatever changed, it's now AWFUL. My partner also ordered a vegan burrito. It has changed as well. He was not happy with it either. We used to purchase your food several times a month. We would have friends come over and we would do take out from your place. We would recommend you to everyone we knew, even our out of town friends and family. I guess we won't be doing that anymore after these AWFUL meals. Your prices went up, quality went WAY DOWN. We are so disappointed as here we once had great Mexican food so close to us. I guess we will have to go elsewhere, and tell everyone we know how your quality of food has changed dramatically for the worse. I wish I would have taken a photo with all of the grease. The two of us came here for lunch yesterday and found this taquitos place serving up some really delicious food. Now how did Mr Flavortown find it first? As disappointing as our trip to The Dump was, coming here was a major plus. While I was sitting in one of the chairs searching Yelp for lunch, I found my bookmark of Los Taquitos. Thank you, Lord. I promise to stay out of places like TD. Promise. I vaguely remember an episode on DDD where Mr Flavortown recommended this place. What I do remember was Guy Fieri visiting a Mexican taquitos place that had five sisters making some great food from a family recipe. I hadn't put it together until I was standing inline next to the spray painted "Guy Ate Here" smiling face (photo). Here's a challenge. I dare anyone to find a place like Los Taquitos serving up as delicious food for the prices that you can find here. My Street a Tacos (see photo of their el pastor, el pollo and carne asada) were only $1.29 each and were outstanding with just the right amount of heat. And, my friend's el pollo burrito meal for only $6.99, which included rice and beans, was equally delicious. So we enjoyed this trip to Flavortown and yes, Los Taquitos is a Four Star Bomb. Now do you think they'll miss a couple of squirt bottles of their red and green sauce? Yes, Lord I'll put them back. Ugh. Enjoy! read more

I really wanted to like this place : ( Hubby had tacos (lengua, asada y pastor) and he said they were the best tacos ever. I did not have any because the extra taco I had ordered for myself... was not actually in my order, so disappointment number one. Service was OK but not particularly friendly. 2 - We ordered, sat to wait for our number, and people were coming and going... they seem to pay more attention to people with to go orders than to the customers in their dining room, which is a big turn off for me as a customer. Even a person in a neighboring table made conversation and asked what we had ordered, because he thought we were waiting for a while. Hubby got impatient and went to ask (they were like 10 numbers over our ticket number) and he was told the delay was because of our 'big' order... yeah, 3 tacos, a bowl of menudo and a drink. Well, the menudo was super hot... (are there any regulations about food temperature? hehe) and in fact very tasty, but super stingy with the meat, I think they were leftovers and honestly they should have said 'we run out' instead of selling me a bowl of hominy. Well, I would have taken it at a discount, but not for regular price. So, it would have been great if it was a regular portion, but it was like 90% hominy, 10% pancita, so that is a big no-no in my book. We don't live anywhere close to this place, so I do not see ourselves coming back. Unless hubby really craves those awesome tacos one of these days. read more
