I have been meaning to get to this spot a long time ago, but you know what it's like to try a place outside of the zip code and then have to go downtown can be a little much. I am glad to say that it super easy and worth the trip to this establishment. Located off Division Street it offers free one hour parking just grab a ticket and stick it on the dash. We were welcomed immediately by the server and we seated. The lunch crowd had just thinned out so we were lucky. I ordered the Chicken Fajitas with chorizo, peppers, onions and side of refried beans, sour cream, guacamole, and rice. My wife ordered the taco salad with grilled shrimp. My fajitas came out sizzling and steaming. The food was extremely tasty and fresh. My Corona was super cold and my wife stated it was best skinny margarita she has ever had. The server was attentive and ensured that we were taken care of during our visit. I will place this in my top 3 of Mexican food spots as this checked all the boxes for us. read more

Ouch, not impressed. First off we paid for parking in the parking only to find out the restaurant validated parking for 2 hours. Staff was friendly and the chips were great. Food was not exciting, bland. We had company from out of state, embarrassed we took them here, won't be back. We did enjoy the margaritas and conversation with our friends. read more

If you just want good, decently priced Mexican, this is the place to go. They have delicious salsa and unlimited chips. I have ordered the variety trio of tacos and all were very tasty, but now I get the 3 steak tacos because the steak is absolutely delicious. My mom had the carnitas the last time and she said they were very good. Their rice and beans are good, which I find that many places overlook those, but these are flavorful. The service is always great here. We recommend this place to everyone in the Gulch when they ask where to go for Mexican. We have never had anything less than great here. great little spot for mexican food! you sit down and a huge basket of chips with salsa is placed on the table. we ordered the carne asada fajita and chile rellenos. both were good- the chile rellenos were drenched in sauces. they have authentic mexican beers on draft- we opted for a pacifico. we enjoyed our meal. service was prompt and attentive- lots of water refills etc. only pet peeve was the lack of masks. Been going to several other Mexican restaurants for years. This one is a bit off the beaten path but worth it, it's easy to find, right near The Gulch. The food is really good, it's seemingly more authentic than the others. Very tasty. It's bigger, so no waiting time and the service is great. They have a parking lot, easy as can be to park. This little gem was hiding in plain sight. I've been living in this neighborhood for almost two years and have only been to Los Toritos yesterday. Im grateful to say that I have delicious Mexican food within a 5 minute walk from my home. Is this potentially dangerous that I can get a burrito whenever I want? Of course. But I'll live with the consequences. It was comfort food to the max. I ordered the shrimp fajitas, which were flavorful and fresh. The hubs ordered a chimichanga. He was a first timer, but now plans on making it his staple order. Everything was tasty, so much so that we didn't talk for 10 minutes because we were so focused on eating. The restaurant is warm and cozy. There was lively conversation - people were clearly enjoying themselves. The service was friendly, too! read more

Fantastic service and great margaritas, especially the margarita tower if you have friends to share It with. I was suspect because it is so close to a touristy college party atmosphere. I had the top shelf margarita and the shrimp fajitas which were very flavorful. The only downside was the veggies that accompanied the fajitas were bit over cooked. However, the fantastic service and fun vibe made up for that. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting or live close to the downtown Nashville area. We were on vacation and visited this place because we love Mexican and it was super close to our hotel. From the moment we got seated it was a strange experience. Our waiter brought over one water (and two straws) although there were two of us. He didn't greet us and oddly wouldn't make eye contact with us at all during the whole time we were there. We weren't super hungry so we just got nachos to share and my husband got a house margarita that was pretty expensive and premade. I stuck with the one water that was on the table. Very odd experience for us. We would not go back if given the chance. And we find it surprising that the reviews seem to be good and favorable as our experience was opposite. read more

Two-for-one margs all the time (!!!!), complimentary chips and salsa (and cheese/bean dip!), welcoming staff, and incredibly simple, not-to-mention beyond delicious dishes. It's everything you want in a comfort food Mexican spot, all delivered with extra attention to detail and taste. Especially sitting amidst the mostly over-priced, sometimes over-stimulating restaurants in the area, Los Toritos is a welcome addition. And one we'll frequent often! read more

They took a group from the back of the line straight to a table. The food is subpar at best. They cater to the young drunks who come to guzzle their tasteless margaritas. Worst Carne Asada I've ever had. It was thin and completely overcooked, like eating beef jerky. It also had a piece of bone in it that my husband chipped his tooth on while chewing. It's still in the heart of Nashville but a few steps outside of downtown so it's a little more relaxed and laid back. The outside area is very nice. Great place for a small get together also. It's the only true Mexican food place left downtown. The prices are very reasonable and I've never been dissatisfied with anything I have ordered. I highly suggest this place. Ordered delivery from here and was pleasantly surprised. The quesadilla was delicious with no skimping on protein filling. The fajitas were also great, although more tortillas would be great. Only 3 for a huge plate of fajita meat isn't ever going to be enough. We ordered a sampler appetizer that was good. Flautas were delicious and so we're the cheese quesadilla pieces. The only thing that didn't hold up were the individual tortilla chips topped with pico de gallo. They arrived completely soft and fell apart to the touch. Those don't deliver well. Other than that, the food was great and flavorful. We'll be ordering again. read more
