I love, Love, LOVE Lost Nation Gose ( Gose being a light salt & coriander brew, somewhat similar to a Berliner Weisse) and was SUPERpumped to try LN Gose at its source. It did NOT disappoint! We even had the lucky opportunity to try a blueberry-infused version of LN Gose (The Wind Blue, I believe it was called) - extra awesome!! But... Lost Nation is a brewery that serves food - a pretty exceptional, resto-size menu, actually - and here at this *brewery*, the food actually surpasses the beer... It's *fantastic*! Each of our 4-person group ordered the Cuban sandwich and a bowl of the soup du jour , tomato garlic bisque. So..freakin'...delish! Next trip, Lost Nation will *definitely* be on my agenda. Beverages: The Wind draft beer and Venetian Ginger Ale Appetizer: Blythedale Farms Vermont Brie with toasted Elmore Mountain focaccia, fruit butter and greens and a los taco with blackened salmon Entrees: Medium rare burger with local greens, and pulled pork BBQ sandwich with potato salad My favorites were the Brie appetizer with the fruit butter, and the pulled pork BBQ sandwich. My guy recommends The Wind and the blackened salmon taco. The server and the host were both friendly. My only advice to Lost Nation would be a little less vinegar in the potato salad. My recommendation to fellow patrons would be to make a reservation in the Resy app because this place can be busy and you'll be trying to find another place that's still open or ordering takeout. Visited Lost Nation on a recent trip to Smugglers Notch. One of the favorite breweries we visited during our week long visit. I really enjoyed the saison and the Pilsner, light and refreshing. My boyfriend enjoyed their IPAs. We ordered hotdogs - they were amazing. We sat outside and enjoyed the smells of the nearby outdoor kitchen. Located north of Stowe about a 20 min drive. Super easy drive through the farms of Vermont. There is also a bike bath behind the brewery. We arrived late on Saturday due to the location I was expecting it to be dead but man was I wrong. We managed to grab a table and grabbed two tasters. They weren't doing actual flights at the bar but all the samples were a dollar. They have a full menu which looked really good. All the beers I had were amazing especially the Mosaic. This place was an excellent stop during a visit to the Stowe area. We arrived for a lunch and sampling of their beers. The brewery has an outdoor beer garden, it is outdoors but covered to shelter you from the elements. There is waitstaff for the beer garden, all of whom were quite informative and able to describe the drink and fare extremely well. I opted for the beer flight which was six beers plus I chose to add a 7th which was a wheat IPA. The beer flight arrives and it is conveniently organized to match the chronology of the menu. Great idea as it helps you keep track of which one you're sampling. Keep a beer menu on the table to refer back to for descriptions. In terms of the beers, I was partial to the Gose, Rustic Ale, the Vermont Pilsner, and the Black Ale. The beers offered during our visit were mostly on the lighter side, but most were quite good. Wasn't a huge fan of the Petit Ardennes, but that's just me. As it relates to food, I opted for a lighter option and chose the Veggie Wrap. The beer garden has a smoker, so there is a lot of smoked meat in the sandwich section. As tempting as it was, it appeared to be a heavy meal for lunch. Also for the vegetarians, it is a rather limited menu. Thankfully, most of the sides are vegetarian-friendly. Each sandwich comes with the choice of an additional topping and a side. Additionals of each are available for a nominal extra cost. It was hard to choose a side, but I opted for the German potato salad, as the server gave a great description of it (what got me was that it was not heavily dressed). I was not disappointed with my choice. The veggie wrap was filling but not overwhelming, in part because it is not served on a large roll but rather a lavash wrap. To me prices were fair, the service was helpful, and more often than the beers were excellent. Also, in the tap room you can fill growlers. They have a fancy schmancy machine that takes the oxygen out of the growler and fills it with CO2 so it is a shelf stable growler. This is rather unique and is worth noting in the event you don't plan to open the growler right away. read more

We got a sampler of all their beers, and found something for everyone. The lighter beers tended toward the sour side, but the darker the been got, the better I liked it. I cannot say enough great things about this place. I never had any beers from Lost Nation before visiting Vermont and hadn't even heard of them, but a buddy recommended I check them out. Well, I'm glad I did because this ended up being one of my favorite breweries that I visited on my VT beercation. First off, I can't say a bad thing about any beer here. They are all excellent. None of them are high alcohol (maybe around 6% ABV at the max) but if there's one thing I learned about VT beer compared to other states, it's that really great beer including IPAs don't have to be high alcohol hop bombs to be good. Lost Nation has really perfected this idea. I tried several on my visit including their Gose, Lost Galaxy IPA, Mosaic Single Hop, and Saison Lamoille. Every beer was delicious. I even bought a 4 pack of the Gose cans to bring back to my buddies in NJ. As for the food, well you're in for a treat. As some others on here recommended, I went with the burger, bloody, with romesco on top. If you don't know what romesco is, that's ok because neither did I. What is it you ask? I was told by the bartender but I forget. Just get it! You won't regret it. As for the bartenders, they are good people. They will really take the time to explain what you're drinking and can answer any questions you have. One of the head brewers even sat down and had a beer with me while I was here. Now, that' something that you just don't see every day. I highly recommend Lost Nation to both beer nerds and newbies. Between the food, excellent beer, and awesome staff, you are bound to walk away happy. read more

YES YES YES! Currently, they are taking reservations so we made a reservation for outdoor seating. They have a pretty good set up and tables (outside) are socially distanced. I did not see inside so my review is based on my experience outside. They have coveted seating off of their parking lot. If it was raining it would be totally fine. With the high temps, some of the tables were in the suns direction but they had no problem shifting tables so people were comfortable. But... the food. IT WAS AMAZING! I ordered the cold roast beef sandwich and wow.. cooked perfectly with delicious toppings like lettuce and tomato with some horseradish. You can pick your side and I highly recommend the potato salad. My husband and I were so impressed and wished we had more! He ordered the boneless rib sandwich and highly enjoyed it. The presentation of the food was beautiful- especially for a brewery! I actually don't drink beer so I had one of their guest ciders and my husband enjoyed a couple of their brews. Some friends and I decided to do the Vermont Brewery Tour Challenge. Our first few stops were unsuccessful. After either getting to a brewery that was still closed due to Winter hours, or getting fed up of standing in a long endless line at other breweries, this brew tour of Vermont was not going as planned at all. Finally, we decided to head to Morristown and stop at Lost Nation. After driving around the construction-plagued business park of Morristown for a couple minutes, we finally found the tucked-away brewery. Based on the first part of our day, we had low expectations for this place. It was safe to say that our expectations were exceeded, and then some. We got their sampler flight, which features 6 of their beers for $5. All their beers were great, with my favorites being #1 (Gose), #5, and #6 on the flight. The Gose (#1) is a unique citrus-y beer with added sea salt. Don't knock it til you try it, because everyone (myself included) LOVED IT! #5 was a hoppy IPA-type beer, and #6 was a dark Guinness-like beer, but still had a smokey hoppy taste. #2, #3, and #4 were lighter beers that were still solid brews. Growlers of their brews are available for purchase, and 22 oz. bottles of the Gose are also available for $12. Additionally, if you just want drafts, they were only about $5 or so each. We also got food, which was delicious. A lot of people in my group got the BBQ Pork, which was tasty, moist, and served in a generous portion size. The pork also came with a side of delightful cole slaw, which was more mustard and vinegar-based (as opposed to mayo-based). I got the soup and sandwich, which was a cheesy tomato soup with grilled cheese (With apples and bacon). Long story short, all the food was great. The menu is small, but it's all good. They also had a Tofu Reuben available for the vegan crowd. My only gripe about this place is that the service for beer was a little slow. But our bartender explained she was new and was obviously trying hard, so we definitely did not hold that against her. I live far away, but if I lived closer to Morristown, I would definitely come back here more often. The beer, food, and atmosphere here is the recipe for a solid time out with friends. read more

Stopped at Lost Nation for lunch - the brewery is a bit off the beaten path, but it's well worth seeking out. The brewery has an outside covered seating area where all their meats are smoked. The beer was great - we each had a flight of 7 beers for under $10. Their beers include a wide array of offerings like IPAs, Sours, and Saisons. Located north of Stowe, is this amazing little spot that is Lost Nation. You do feel sort of lost getting here, but once you park and walk inside, you will understand why the place is so full. We arrived late Saturday afternoon and all tables were taken, but we were fortunate to grab the very last two bar stools at the very end. Nice! Super friendly bartender was quick to talk about the beers and specials and we had our brews within a minute. The offer small pours, so you can try a few things without getting out of hand, which I always enjoy. A nice list of 10-12 beers, with some traditional styles and of course a few Pale Ale and IPA's, because that is what is so popular right now. Every beer was well crafted and super fresh. I did not know what to expect as far as eats, but the menu was pretty extensive for this space and I had one of the best sandwiches to date. It was their cod cake on toasted brioche and it was enormous. We also shared a cheese plate, that was amazing. With tip, it was under $30 pp and we walked out of there in awe of what we just experienced. Some of the nicest people you can ever run into running this place. My only complaint about this brewery is that it isn't closer to me in New York. Everything here was amazing. The flight had 8 beers on it and each were very different. There were even two sours on it which was unusual. For food there was a great selection. We had the fondue and the steak tacos which were a special. Both plates were absolutely amazing. Unique and full of flavor. My mouth is watering as I type this. The bartenders were very knowledgeable and helpful when discussing the beer selections and made sitting at the bar for dinner very enjoyable. They had a wide selection of beers and although we did not have all of them, the ones we tried were superb. Hints of sea salt and coriander from the "gose" made for an exciting tasting adventure. This is a casual outdoor restaurant and brewery. It is close to other breweries and is the best stop for lunch if you are on a Vermont brew tour. You will find it smoky due to the outdoor cooking. You will also see large numbers of bicycle tourists who stop to refresh and get nourishment along their way. I like the beer here. I tried the grolsch special offering and Megan had a saison. Kathie had a Diet Coke from the car which was ok to bring in. The seating is at picnic tables. Service was informative and fast. Everything is local and fresh I ordered the picked egg appetizer and got some stares from the table. All enjoyed sharing them The women split a Lost Nation Burger, cooked bloody with toppings of balsamic relish. Best burger of the trip. I had a sausage off the special menu which was also excellent, just not as memorable as the burger. Our clothes smelled like smoke even into the evening. The food was the real standout here; the pork sandwich I had was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had and my fiancée loved her burger.
