It seems that every time I pass by here I'm in some sort of a rush. Having worked in the industry myself for the better portion of my life I am well aware that the 'I only have like 20 minutes' customer is a classic pain in the arse, but it was either assume the role or miss out on Lost Nation; the latter wasn't really an option ;-) We barreled through this past Saturday for a quick Smoked Shrimp cocktail- holy wah it was delicious (that cocktail sauce,seriously) and paired with a Wind on draught, perfection! Service was ON POINT, the gal tending bar made no promises (smart gal), but worked efficiently to try and get us in and out. The attention was very much appreciated and all with a kind a personable attitude, that's the recipe for stellar service. Serious props to the 'tender this past Saturday and really the entire the staff was awesome and even thanked us on our way to parking lot. It's no mystery that Lost Nation Beer is superb. I'm glad to find the service and food to be shaping up as a perfect match. I cannot wait to return and dive deeper into this menu, my mouth waters just thinking about it. read more

It's a tiny little space (though they have outside space!) but their beer is awesome. You can get tasting flights to sample them all, or you can get pints (or larger glasses). We also ordered their brie plate which was delicious. Semi-melted brie with toasted bread, mixed greens and what tasted like a fig spread. The portion of cheese was a little small for $10, but every bite of it was worth it. I can't wait to hunt down their beer in New York! read more

Lost Nation is my favorite brewery of all time. Hill Farmstead and Lawson's Finest make the top three. This tap room and barrel system brewer really stand on the shoulders of giant mountains!! It's an all holy package here- amazing small plate style artisian food made only from local and fresh ingredients. By the way, the portions are not small! After their May 15th target date, we will be back to have more BBQ outside in their Beirgarten. (Located directly next to the brewery.) God brewery ok service. We should up at 5 on a Saturday and it was not super crowded which was nice but the service was just ok. Asked the guy seating for a place in the shade so he sat us in the sunniest table they had. We sweat it out for 2 beers and a hummus before calling it and heading to Alchemist which was a way better experience. read more

Came for the beer, will return for the beer. They seem like a well thought out company that just can't keep beer on the shelves. Which is a good problem but a problem nonetheless. On an afternoon on our road trip, my wife and I stopped in for a few beers. They had an extensive list of brews but on more than one occasion I was told by the bartender that they were out. Huge area outside to sit that is covered but we really enjoyed sitting at the bar and talking with locals. Brewery with delicious food. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich, burger, and vegetarian wrap. We devoured it all. Pro-tip, get the baked beans side. It came with huge chunks of pork that were credibly flavorful. There is inside and outdoor (that is covered) seating. Not only does Lost Nation Brewing have their own beers on tap but they also have some guest beers and ciders as well on tap. Stopped by yesterday for lunch and to sample some of the beers. Wife could not stop raving about her bbq sandwich. I tried the burger which was good as well. Can't go wrong with either of those options here. We both had the potato salad which is another must. The beers were quite good. My son had the grilled cheese and corn. He liked the corn but was a bit unsure on the grilled cheese. It's more of an upgraded adult grilled cheese if that makes sense. What a great find! (Albeit a little hard to find). We ordered the sampler which was both delicious and affordable. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the beers and made great recommendations for food. We had the Cuban sandwich and the seared tuna sandwich special. Both were terrific. Another great local brewery. Customer service was excellent and the beers are amazing. There is such a wide variety on draft for everyone. They give you 4 ounce pours for $1.82 so you can try them all for cheap before you buy a pint. If you love IPA's or Gose's this is the place to be. read more

I just loved this place! I had the best homemade hummus, pita and thin an crunchy pickled vegetables. We had the a mosaic IPA which was cloudy and easy drinking. Really unique beer! A lot of the beers are made with a nod to brewing not typical to this region of the world. So don't go in expecting a run of the mill pilsner. Plan ahead! This place is popular with locals and tourists so there will probably be a wait. The food is consistently delicious and the menu changes all the time. The is a very authentic place, great beers as one would expect, but food to match. The place is informal, but great to hang out with friends and grab drinks/food. First of all, I am a big fan of Lost Nation beer. Mostly the gose, which got me into the style and is still probably my favorite sour beer. It's a perfect summer refresher. The brewpub is cozy on the inside, but they also have a large outdoor seating area during the warmer months. The food is solid. It's the Vermont version of a German beer hall. Lots of local ingredients, including smoked or cured meat products. They don't have a frier, but have compensated by doing a very good German potato salad. read more

Our Airbnb host recommended this place, so my boyfriend and I ate at the tap room on a whim. Seriously outstanding beer, food, and ambiance. We got here around 4 on a Saturday so we got a table quickly, but by the time we were finishing up there was a line of people out the door at 5PM. We both got special sandwiches, mine with tofu, his with bacon. They were both phenomenal. I tried the beer sampler, which had a higher proportion of light beers. Light beer is usually not my thing, but I greatly enjoyed these, especially the petit ardennes. The pitch black was my favorite overall. I agree with some others that this place is difficult to find. There is a newly built bypass that cuts through the way Google maps directs you, which Google may have updated by now; we visited 2-3 weeks ago. But we had to search around a little while to find it, tucked back in the corner of a rather industrial looking strip. read more

I really love Vermont Craft beer and we made our second trek to Lost Nation Brewing back in November. The service is great, the food is amazing, and the beer is even better. They take a farm to table approach and their menu highlights locally sourced food. They have wonderful specials, and ample options for vegetarians. During the winter, there may be a wait for tables. It's pretty small inside and is set up with long communal tables. If there is a wait, you can grab a beer and sit outside in the beer garden area- great for summer but a little cold in the winter. I've been here twice now, and just haven't loved any of the beers. There were a few that I couldn't drink at all, and only a few that I thought were decent. Maybe I just don't like their style of beer I'm not sure. The price is good, you get to try a lot of beers for 6 dollars. You really can't beat that, and the food menu looks amazing. The service sucked. First, we stood there for way to long before someone directed us to sit at a table for service. Then we waited, and waited, at the table before our server came..and then she never came back. Not even when I accidently spilled my beer, and needed napkins (which aren't anywhere). The bartender, and two servers just stared at me instead of assisting. There were like 2 tables in the whole place, the fact that they didn't come help me clean it up blows my mind. I had to find paper towels in the bathroom. After trying to make eye contact with someone for about 10 minutes someone finally came over to provide us with our check. I just can't imagine ever going back. Although the first time I was here I bought a t-shirt and it's the softest shirt I own, so they make baller t-shirts. haha. read more

Definitely the best food in the area, and not super crowded either, since it's kind of hidden off of Route 100. Our lunch entrees were delicious and just the right size for the $15ish price. The burgers were juicy and flavorful, the side salad was surprisingly interesting with springy asparagus and radishes, and my boneless ribs came in a really zesty and unusual BBQ sauce. They were out of the gose so I tried The Wind instead, which was okay but not what I really wanted. Hopefully next time they'll have the gose back on tap! Horrible experience with extremely rude service by Patrick the manager. After traveling over 45 minutes out of our way to visit this place in the middle of nowhere we were rudely turned away being told they closed an hour earlier than the time displayed on their door, on their website, on Apple Maps... and on their own voicemail when you call... trust me call their number it says 9, or better yet call it yourself when you call and hear it say it closes at 9 on Sunday but actually it closes at 8 haha, that's all we could do. Do yourself a favor and go to one of the countless delicious restaurants in Stowe, hit up Von Trapp, Alchemist, Idletyme, Rock Art, or Ten Bends... any place that values good food, good beer, and people willing to put in effort for it (namely not here, awful service and regard for loyal customers). read more
