We reserved our spot on Open Table and a must as the lines are long. Our server frequent often and was very helpful. The restaurant has two levels and the top is more family friendly and for large groups. There are games on the TV to enjoy while you eat. Pizza wasn't what we expected. We've had deep dish before and this was a little off. The crust was chewy and more sauce than ingredients. The Mike's Honey was disappointing. Hot giardiniera = carrots and jalapeños. The carrots threw us off. Never had carrots on a pizza before. We also had the pepperoni and sausage which was good because we knew we weren't going to bite into a carrot. We also ordered salad and it was too big to finish even for a party of 6. Get the wings! They are phenomenal! The staff were wonderful with the two little ones.

People say there are 2 main restaurants to hit up Chicago style pizza, so on our way out of Chicago we hit up Lou Malnati's. We tried in the city, but the wait was 2 hours! Outside the main city center there are plenty of locations and we went at opening the next day. No line and got our pizza piping hot. Though, my favorite part of lunch was the salad dressing? Deep dish was good. The meatballs were good. The salad was very good. Now I have to figure out what they put in that dressing.

The pizza and food was absolutely amazing! The deep dish does take 30 minutes to cook which is totally okay but is just something to note if you are in a rush. Unfortunately when I went, my server was not very attentive and did not check up on us/refill drinks often. Someone at my table had ordered a salad with no cheese and the salad came out with lots of cheese and we couldn't find our server for minutes to send us a new one. She seemed more focused on watching the World Cup game on the tv than serving customers. We had to repeat ourselves multiple times because of that. The store is very nice inside with high ceilings upstairs, lots of tvs, and frozen deep dish you can buy too. Love the restaurant, just didn't love the service at this location.

The pizza was truly deep dish and the hot honeys as delicious although wished there were more veggies. The bruschetta was refreshing and delicious and the service was decent. The ambiance was nice as well got a good place to seat on the second floor.

If you're in Chicago and craving real deep dish, Lou Malnati's on Randolph Street is an absolute must. This location has that perfect balance of Chicago charm and modern city energy -- cozy, lively, and filled with the smell of buttery crust and melted cheese heaven. It also doesn't have a crazy wait like the locations in town. I ordered the classic deep dish (of course!) and it did not disappoint. The crust is perfectly crisp on the outside yet buttery and soft inside, the tomato sauce tastes incredibly fresh, and the cheese pull... next level. Pair it with a house salad or a cold drink, and you're golden. The staff here are friendly, quick, and clearly proud of what they serve -- and rightfully so. Even when it's busy, the service is warm and welcoming. It's that genuine Chicago hospitality that makes the meal even better. Whether you're visiting the Windy City or a local showing off your hometown favorite, Lou Malnati's Randolph delivers every single time.

I have been to multiple Lou Malnatis locations but not this one in west loop. It's a bit far off from the main west loop bar and restaurants area. We had a prior reservation but it wasn't really needed as they have a lot of seating spread across two floor. The cleanliness of this places needs a bit of attention, but besides that the service and the food were great. We got the new hot honey deep dish and the veggie personal deep dish. Both pizzas were really tasty and I love the fact that despite being deep dish, they are not too heavy on your stomach.

I've always been a fan of Lou's so I was excited to see one walking distance from my hotel. Usually there's a huge wait on top of the 45 minutes it takes for your pizza to cook. Surprisingly, we were able to walk in and be sat immediately despite being a table of 6 adults and one child. For appetizers we started off with the three cheese bread. It came with a marinara sauce and is cooked to the same consistency of French bread pizza. Honestly I could've eaten the whole thing myself but I know my deep dish was in the oven. For our pizzas we did two larges and still walked away with enough leftovers for two more meals. We ordered the Margherita pesto pizza and then did a custom with butter crust, onions, peppers, and spinach mix. There's no way to describe deep dish to someone who hasn't had it but it's something everyone has to try. It's the flavors of pizza with the texture and crispness of a flaky pie. The cheese to sauce ratio was perfect and my favorite ended up being the pesto. Although you might get sticker shock paying $40 for a large pizza just know you will at best, eat 3 slices in one sitting. Consider it two or three meals and the value is there.

When in Chicago, deep dish pizza is a must, and Lou's is the place to go! My friends and I made a reservation for a Saturday night, which is recommended since they are busy. Service was very friendly and efficient! The pizzas do take a bit to cook so beware of that! We started off with the Malnati Salad, which was incredibly delicious! The sweet vinaigrette is to die for! For our pizzas, we got the small deep dish of the Lou and the Veggie. I loved the flaky, buttery crust that was reminiscent of a thin cornbread. I did feel that the tomato sauce was lacking a bit in flavor! Still my favorite deep dish spot in the city so far!

The legendary Lou Malnati was my second eatery in my trip to Chicago and I wish it was my first. Came in with a group of six and we were sat immediately by the coolest dude who was the host/waiter/and maybe manager? He set the vibes right as it was our first time and we weren't sure what to get. We ordered a deep dish pizza and it was most of our's first time trying it and just about everyone loved it. The thin crust was a pleasant surprise too. I've heard of this style and can now confirm it's worth trying. The group was a bit indecisive about what flavor wings to try so my inner-Atlanta took over and asked if we can combine lemon pepper and hot sauce and the waiter happily obliged and thank goodness he did because that was one of the best bites of the night. Perhaps they should add that to the menu! This is definitely a place worth trying if you're nearby!

My first time visiting Chicago and I really wanted to try Chicago's deep dish pizza before leaving so we ended up at Lou Malnati's for lunch. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming and we especially loved the vibe of the bar area. We ordered the Malnati Chicago classic and a chicken BBQ club salad. I really liked the salad especially the little pieces of tortilla chips. The pizza came fresh out of the oven and the cheese pull was impressive.

Classic Chicago deep dish, warm bar-side hospitality, and a solid team dinner spot I recently went to Lou Malnati's West Loop location with a few colleagues after work. We decided to sit at the bar--which turned out to be a great choice. The staff there were extremely hospitable, offering insights on menu standouts and topping each pie with generous smiles. Even after a long day, the buttery crust deep dish felt like the perfect comfort food. We ordered the Lou Classic--with sausage, cheese, and their signature buttery crust--and it lived up to the hype. Everyone else at the table tried different options and all platters disappeared fast, with positive murmurs about flavor and crust. The bar ambience was pleasant and low-key, with bartenders juggling drink orders and pizza tickets without a hitch. They made sure our drinks stayed full, the pace was calm even as the dinner crowd picked up, and they checked in just the right amount. Prices land in the mid-range for Chicago deep dish, but between the quality of the pizza and the cheerful, efficient service, it adds up to a dependable group-dinner choice. The classic recipe--with Wisconsin cheese, fresh sausage, hand-tossed dough, and vine-ripened tomato sauce--delivers consistently well. If you're looking for a reliable spot for East Coast coworkers craving Chicago tradition--and don't mind carving into a hearty deep dish with a knife and fork--Lou's at Randolph won't disappoint. Plusses: friendly bartenders, pleasant work-dinner vibe, and that rich, buttery crust we all remembered the next morning.

What a cute location, hidden but such a great spot for your Lou Malnati's pizza. The staff is so welcoming and accommodating. The staff was attentive to all of our needs, glasses were never empty. The location was perfect, we were headed towards a Blackhawks game and it was conveniently located. We ordered a tavern style pizza and a deep dish pizza, both were delish! missing chicago already

Finally had the chance to visit Chicago's most famous pizza spot, Lou Malnati's, and of course we had to try their legendary deep dish pizza. The atmosphere is elegant yet cozy, with a beautiful bar area that really adds to the charm. Service was attentive and friendly throughout. We ordered the BBQ Chicken Salad and their signature Deep Dish Pizza--both were excellent. The salad was fresh and flavorful, while the pizza was everything you'd expect from Chicago's best: rich, cheesy, and absolutely satisfying. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable--our meal for two, including tip, came out to just $45. If you're in Chicago, this place is a must-visit. You simply can't leave the city without trying their deep dish!
