Meh. Of all the places we've tried this trip, this was the least impressive. Over priced and lackluster. Service was whatever. Brought out burnt French toast, umm sorry it's raw inside, barely cooked on one side & black on the other - how embarrassing. When I brought it up they just looked at it and me.... listen if it SMELLS burnt ? HARD PASS. Overall just an unfortunate way to wrap up an otherwise amazing vaca....

Went in for lunch with my mom and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Caprese on ciabatta, even though I'm usually not a ciabatta fan, but this was honestly the best ciabatta I've ever had. Soft, rustic, not dense at all. The sandwich was delicious overall, though the tomatoes were a little mushy. My mom had the tuna salad on sourdough and liked it. The space is roomy with plenty of seating, and they were playing The Grinch, which made it feel festive. I'd say the food was a bit overpriced and the water station could use a serious glow up, but otherwise everything was solid.

It's a 6/5 next question. Come here for literally whatever you're in the mood for. They have everything! Staff is 10/5. So nice so friendly! We couldn't decide which soup to get so she gave us samples!! Both were amazing. I got the bacon egg Sammy and it was fire. Perfect amount of Pesto, egg friend perfectly and the milk bun really made it!! The chopped cheese was phenomenal and will 100% get that when I come back. It was sooo tasty

This deli is right off Colfax and provides a pretty wide array of quality deli sandwiches. Parking is going to be street parking, but shouldn't be too hard to find. The inside is quite spacious with lots of seats with lots of cute plants. The sandwich itself is pretty good - I would say that the sandwich bread here is exceptional. I will say that the sandwiches here ain't cheap, but they are pretty big and filling.

Tessa is the name. Great service and personality. Sandwich was AMAZING. Such a chill vibe there and I love the open space.

    OG and cup of minestrone.

Ordered the OG and it was delicious. Ingredients tasted fresh. Sam the cashier was very welcoming and had great attitude. The place was packed for lunch but service was very quick. Don't be turned off by the location though.

All right, the hype is real! Hidden gem on East Colfax? Check. Delicious food? Check. Fair prices? Check.Friendly service? You betchya! And happy hour till 7 with buy one get one free desserts?! Yaaas!! It was pretty empty when we arrived but a steady influx of delivery orders going out- I imagine this place is bustling for lunch as it is a large space with lots of chairs and table configurations. Ambiance is chill.

Delicious veggie sandwich and tasty chickpea/avocado salad. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

Ok Tessa you get a 5 for the vibes alone. I love plant filled restaurants and sunlight. The chopped cheese was good and they carry mortadella by the lb. The lady at the counter was nice and friendly. I'm a happy gal.

Keep in mind we got our sandwiches to go and didn't eat them till 5 hours later...and these were BOMB. The pepper sauce is SO GOOD I'll def ask for an extra side next time. The service was amazing. Our sandwiches came out in 5 minutes and the girl who took my order was so nice and brought my sandwiches out to me. The shop is also so cute and I will opt to eat there next time! 10/10, highly recommend!

Far and away, one of the most underrated restaurants in Denver. I wish I lived on this side of town, because Tessa Delicatessen could easily be a 2-3 times a week neighborhood place. The menu is straightforward with every item made with intention and detail. You won't go home hungry. At the helm, you have a husband and wife duo who know what they're doing. The space is larger than you'd expect for a "delicatessen" and its size is deceiving from its Colfax entrance. It's difficult for a restaurant do execute breakfast, lunch and dinner and somehow all three are excellent. I have enjoyed their dinner options like the pastas over the years, but if you can have one meal here make it a sandwich. Hardest part will be narrowing down which one you're going to order. You'll find cold and hot options, and sometimes a special or two. Oh, and while I'm here don't forget about their burger. Denver makes a lot of burgers and Tessa's rendition should be in that conversation. On my last visit, I went with a newer sandwich from their menu, the Tessa Chopped Cheese. Now Denver doesn't know too much about this sandwich and I've been let down a handful of times ordering it elsewhere. NOT HERE. For starters, the bread they use is a slam dunk. Seeded hoagie roll is crisp on the outside and super soft in the middle. My only qualm was how big and bready the sandwich was. Nonetheless, I could eat the bread by itself. The inside melty and the perfect consistency. Is it exactly like a New York bodega? No, and that's fine. It's just as delicious, just as satiating, and just as satisfying. Melty, creamy, salty unctuousness. Easily the best chopped cheese I've had in Denver! Supporting local businesses has always been important. But when you find a husband and wife owned spot doing it the right way without taking shortcuts you want to shout it from the rooftops. More foodies need to know about the amazing things happening here. I can't believe it took me so long to write them a 5-star review!

Went here for lunch and it did not disappoint. A local deli on Colfax that you might miss if you didn't know it was there. A subtle sign adorns the entrance with larger signs stating breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served. The space has plenty of options for seating with a station to grab your utensils, water, and extra condiments. Service is friendly and welcoming. It was evident the owner at the register knew her regulars by either name or order preference. Everyone is greeted with an enthusiastic hello. Sandwich choices are plentiful and hard to narrow down a choice - making it that much easier to want to return to try something else. This time, I tried the Cuban. It had a generous portion of juicy pulled pork with ham, mustard, mayo, Swiss cheese, and pickles. Delicious and filling. Support local and stop by this gem on East Colfax.

Melts like your heart the first time you walk into that heavenly smell. Now, I say all this not just as a fan, but as a former Assistant Manager many moons ago . I've been in the sandwich trenches. I've rocked the slicer, I've battled the lunch rush, and I've smiled through the chaos when 17 online orders printed at once and the toaster started making noises like it was possessed. So I know what it takes behind that counter. And let me say shoutout to the crew working the other night. It was hopping, and they were hustling! But real talk... the vibe at the front counter? Could use a little extra snarf love. A smile, a "thanks for waiting," a moment of sandwich-inspired human kindness. You know, the stuff that keeps people coming back just as much as the spicy giardiniera. Because at the end of the day, SNARF'S isn't just about what's between the bread it's about the people behind the counter and the ones waiting to get their hands on that cheesy, meaty masterpiece. Let's keep it delicious, but let's also keep it kind. Still a Snarf-head for life.

It was a bit pricey at $12 but I regret absolutely nothing. The only thing keeping me from full marks is that it's not super stroller/baby friendly and these days that's important to me. This is not your average egg and cheese bowl - it was stacked with specialty cheeses like mozzarella and iberico! Plus, some devious spices.
