It's been exactly 12 months since I bought a bag from here. Within the 12 months I returned once or twice to get a few small leather goods and have been working with Soroush. Summertime came around which means I get to treat myself a bit more. It took a couple of tries to set up an appointment with my client advisor, but we eventually made it happen. Upon arrival, my client advisor was prompt and listened to what I was looking for and we also walked the floor to check out the new collection and ready to wear. After the walk, I expressed that I'm interested in getting a bag today. I was able to see a good balance of bags I had in mind and also some other styles I havent seen. I always screenshot the items that I like with the item number to make it easier for my advisor to check for availability. I highly recommend bookmarking several items that you like in the case many of them are sold out. Eventually after a good hour I ended up with 4 choices, 2 white and 2 black ones. In all honesty, the choices were great and many customers stood around wanting to see those same items. Eventually my advisor and I went upstairs to the LV apartment for a more peaceful environment so that I can really narrow it down. Everyone upstairs was either really nice or helpful. I definitely had to take advantage of their hot latte which came with a cute little sugar cube (picture included). After another 30 minutes or so upstairs, I was able to make a choice and I am very happy to be adding my first full black bag to my LV collection. Check out was easy, and I always ask for samples. We went downstairs to get the samples and I asked for my items to be in a white discreet bag with no issue. I always have a great time at LV now and highly recommend developing a friendly relationship with a client advisor. If I had the extra time, I actually would join the LV team. It's the only luxury store I'm willing to buy new and I do enjoy the client relationship aspect. read more

I had a really disappointing experience at this location this week. I bought a handbag last Friday, and when I got home, I noticed the stitching was off. Since the store was closed on Easter Sunday, I asked my boyfriend to help me with the return this Tuesday. What should have been a simple return turned into something completely uncomfortable and honestly unacceptable. The sales associate (Bang) didn't just handle the return -- she pulled up my account and showed my boyfriend my purchase history going all the way back to 2019. I'm sorry... what?? Why was that even necessary? What does my past purchases have to do with a bag I'm returning due to bad stitching, and one that was never used? And more importantly, why is my personal purchase history being shown to someone else without my permission? That felt like a total violation of privacy. I didn't authorize that, and it was completely unprofessional. Whether he's my boyfriend or not is irrelevant -- that's still MY information. I have bought many items here, but now I am very disappointed. The clasp on my favorite bag broke. When I went to the store, they said repairs would take three months and incur a fee. After I complained, they agreed to waive the fee but said the repair would still take two to three months. Later, when I took a photo inside the store, they kicked me out--it felt like discrimination because I am Asian. This might be my favorite store to shop at. I really love how well they treat you -- they welcomed us right away with caviar and champagne, which was a great touch. Everyone was incredibly nice and welcoming. What really stood out to me is that they treated everyone the same, whether you were buying or not. Even people who weren't shopping were offered treats, which you don't see at most stores. They don't judge you like other places do. I'm definitely coming back very soon and highly recommend this place if you're looking for a gift or want to treat yourself to something nice. This location is nestled inside Bloomingdale's at the South Coast Plaza Mall. One of my favorite store because a staff member knew me by my name. I guess you can say, I'm a regular. Once in a while, I'll make a purchase. It absolutely made me feel extra special though when someone remembered you. Well, not this visit didn't get the same treatment. I didn't feel the love and acceptance as I walked in. Felt being judged for my appearance, so therefore they decided not to greet me. Then out of the blues, I finally hear..."Hi, can I help you?" Thanks to Tina for turning it around and being so kind with her assistance. I already knew what I wanted, so she immediately helped me for check out. Fast and quick transaction. She even asked if I would like a bottle of water. Tina was genuinely professional and without her, I would probably walked out the store with nothing in my hands. Kind of sad how staff treated me, but glad there was one nice sales associate present at the time. I ended up with a pair of dazzling earrings to be added to my jewelry collection. I have been a loyal Louis Vuitton customer since my early 20s, and I am now in my 50s. Over the years, I have spent tens of thousands of dollars with the brand and have always had exceptional service and positive experiences--until today. Just one month ago, I spent approximately $5,000 at the Louis Vuitton boutique in Hawaii. I have always appreciated their products and the level of customer service, which is why today's experience at the Costa Mesa location was so disappointing. This was the very first time I have ever returned an item. The wallet had never been used. In fact, it remained in its original box for the entire week that I owned it. I specifically told my daughter that we would not remove or use it unless we were certain we wanted to keep it. After thinking about it, I decided the color was simply too light and would be difficult to maintain, so I chose to return it. When I arrived at the store, I provided my receipt, and my purchase history was already in the Louis Vuitton system. The sales associate, Linda, opened the wallet and immediately claimed she saw a blemish. I explained that the wallet had never been used and had remained in its box since the day I purchased it. I also told her I did not see the mark she was referring to. Despite my explanation, Linda insisted there was a blemish and told me she would not be able to process the return. She then called over a manager. The manager carefully examined the wallet, found no issue with it, apologized to me repeatedly, and processed my return without hesitation. She also informed me that she would speak with Linda regarding the situation. Although the return was ultimately completed, the experience itself was extremely embarrassing and upsetting. I would never attempt to return a used luxury item, and being treated as though I had done something dishonest was both insulting and unprofessional. The real issue is that Louis Vuitton sold me the wallet in that condition. If there had been a blemish--which there was not--Linda was looking for something microscopic that even the manager could not see. Louis Vuitton sold me the item in that condition, whether it had been a return or simply not a perfect piece. If the store had refused to take the return, I would have been prepared to hire an attorney, because it would have felt like fraud to sell me an item they claimed was flawed and then blame me for it. After being a loyal customer for more than 30 years, it is incredibly disappointing that one interaction with a sales associate could leave such a negative impression. Linda's approach lacked professionalism, empathy, and respect, and it nearly ruined the trust and enjoyment I have always associated with Louis Vuitton. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that no other loyal customer is made to feel the way I did today. read more

I had the displeasure of picking up my online order here and boy I wish I just had it shipped to myself.... The service! Or lack there of! Where do I even begin!!!? So this place is run like a crowded swap meet. It's busy, loud, and unorganized. It was nearly impossible to get someone's attention and once I did they struggled to find my order. The SA helping me couldn't figure it out and just asked someone else to take over for her at one point. The SAs that work here are so rude and feel they are too good for you and see the clients as something worth less than trash. If you want to be treated like so, please give this place a visit. We'll never get anything repaired at this location again. My mother and I dropped off a speedy and a wallet for hot stamping and monogramming earlier this week only to find out that the store somehow lost both of our products. They didn't even have record of our customization receipt, even though we had the receipt that they handed it to us. The employee also never gave us a business card so we couldn't even get in contact with anyone directly. After multiple phone calls that went on during the course of an entire afternoon finally, we get a call from a manager with no apology, but confirmation that he did find our products How does this even happen? Almost $3000 worth of merchandise missing with no store record. Absolutely unacceptable for Louis Vuitton standards. Management resolved for that I'm grateful but this still shouldn't have happened. read more

The merchandise is fabulous, the selections are many, but the service sucks. If you don't look like someone well dressed, they will assume that you don't have money. They will hurry you into making a decision. If that's how they treat their customers, that's a big mistake, HUGE! Be like Pretty Woman with a lot of high end shopping bags when you return. The staff were highly unprofessional, and their customer service was shocking. The employee who made the mistake acted shamelessly, pretending not to know what happened in order to avoid apologizing, and even tried to make it seem as if the customer had misunderstood the situation. I've been shopping here for years and the person I used to shop with is no longer with LV but I met Mica when I came in last week to purchase my bag. She is hands down THE BEST! As soon as I walked in, she smiled and came over to help me. I'm a woman who knows exactly what she wants so I already had 4 bags in mind. I showed her my list and she grabbed all 4 for me. She helped me decide on which one was the best option while also making sure I wasn't getting similar styles to what I already have. It was such a fun experience, as if I was shopping with one of my girlfriends. I was able to snag the very last cognac bag they had in stock which was the cherry on top! I see in the reviews that service here can be hit or miss but it's always been great for me. Not only is she great but the entire team is. Headed back in today and snagged the black bag of my dreams. Of course I went to Mica again because she is the greatest. She's got a great eye for all things beauty and fashion. On her recommendation I headed over to Dior for some makeup inspired by Mica. If you plan on shopping here (which I highly recommend) do yourself a favor and ask for Mica. You will not regret it! read more

One of our employees is turning 25 next week so my wife and I decided to pick her up a Neverfull PM. We were lucky enough to get Lin Liu as our client advisor. She could not have been sweeter. Super helpful without being pushy. It was such a friendly visit that we started looking around a little and picked up something for my wife as well. I'm normally in such a rush to get out of places like this, but thanks to the great customer service we received, we ended up spending a little more than triple what we initially had planned ... and had a great time doing so. On June 10, 2025, I had an unpleasant experience with the LV repair service at South Coast Plaza. I brought in my purse and asked to have the outside leather cleaned. April H. responded, "We don't do purse cleaning." I pointed out the darker leather corners that needed attention, and she clarified that they offer "leather care," not "purse cleaning." She repeated several times that they do not clean purses. I explained that I had previously been told in-store that LV offers leather cleaning. At that point, I realized I may have used the wrong wording and nearly left, thinking no service was available. However, I believe good customer service involves assessing a customer's needs and clearly explaining available services, rather than refusing help or repeating a denial in a rigid manner. Once I understood that "leather care" was the correct term, I agreed to proceed. She informed me of the cost and gave me time to consent, then asked me to sit down--but without clearly explaining that she was processing the order. I also mentioned that my LV sunglasses, purchased only a few months ago, had a loose part. She attempted to tighten the side that wasn't the issue, and when I pointed out the correct side, she told me they didn't have the tools to fix it. Although April H. was generally polite, her approach lacked attentiveness, warmth, and a genuine effort to understand or meet my needs. I also sensed a possible unconscious bias or prejudice, which may have influenced the quality of service I received. I had a great experience at this store. I had bought a purse online/via phone that was discontinued (got the last one in the US). After taking it in and out of its bag and staring at it for a few weeks to make sure I liked it, I felt it wouldn't be as timeless. They allowed me to return it without problems (before 30days). The Asian bubbly guy who helped me was so nice and friendly. Unfortunately, I forgot his name. I've met a few sales associates over the past few months of figuring out what I liked (what was worth it to me as it's a huge purchase to make). They are all professional so I think you just have to find the person that you click with and understands you. Sherry was that person for me. She was genuine and had a milder, relaxed approach. She seemed to be able to read what I liked (before I knew what I liked or thought I liked) or maybe her taste was just the same as mine...classic and simple. So even though I had gone to other places to see if there were other options, I waited to make my purchase with her. I've been buying Louis Vuitton products since 1977. I've spent tens of thousands of dollars at Louis Vuitton and I have never had any problems with any of the items until now. A Monogram Multiple Wallet that I purchased started to Melt at the Seams. One day I pulled my wallet out to use it and whatever Glue they now use was all over the inside of my pocket, the inside and outside of the wallet and on my hands. It was the strangest thing I've ever seen. I have over a dozen Louis Vuitton wallets that I rotate and none of the other wallets have ever had any problems. I took the wallet to the Louis Vuitton "Repair Atelier" in South Coast Plaza and they admitted there was a problem with the wallet. (see review by Ben K. on Yelp to see the exact same problem). Then the lady at the "Repair Atelier" told me that since there was a slight (you have to look very hard to find it) crack on the edge of the vinyl they would not repair it. Since this wallet was hardly used and this issue is a known problem and cost almost $600.00 after tax you would think LV would replace the wallet if they didn't know how to fix it, but NO. The lady curtly replied that they would not do anything to help me out and turned me away. Louis Vuitton has not only lost me as a customer, but most of my friends (since they usually buy something from Louis Vuitton for my Birthday and Holidays). Sad after 48 years of patronage. According to websites such as Reddit there have been huge quality control problems with Louis Vuitton products in the past few years. Search "Louis Vuitton decline" to see all of the problems LV is having. I don't mind spending money on something that is handmade and special, but LV has turned into just another massed-produced product that cuts corners to make a few extra dollars.
