This place gets really busy during the weekend so we decided to wait which we were surprised wait time was only 30mins. Drinks came out promptly food was a bit of a wait. Louise's was an excellent choice for our first meal in the area. ***Check in on Yelp and get a free mimosa*** We called ahead of time and we were able to make a reservation for Saturday brunch. Thankful that we did because several people were outside waiting for a table. The staff worked quickly to ensure you were able to order and get your food quickly. This is a five-star Saturday or Sunday breakfast/brunch stop. Quick, friendly service from the minute you walk in the door. To avoid a wait, come around 12:45pm. Blueberry pancakes are moist and flavorful. Scrambles are full of yumminess. Monte Cristo is THE BEST on the west coast!! Oh! And a free mimosa when you check-in! Can't beat that! Sat at the bar and noticed all the servers not wearing gloves while handling bread, toasting, and buttering it up. One server has long acrylics and had them all over the toast and butter. Hubby and I were looking for a sit down breakfast place and came across Louise's Pantry on YELP. Good reviews and decided to check it out. Very glad we did. Easy front door parking, very clean and neat front entry. Immediate welcome and seating. These may seem like little things but very important to us. It's nice to go into a place that has friendly and attentive staff. As well as enough staff to handle the business. Too often we have experienced slow and inattentive service because of not enough staff. That was NOT the case here. I had the delicious home made corn beef hash and eggs. Husband had eggs, toast and hash browns. Generous portions and really good food. Not to mention home made jams for the toast. Follow up visit saw us having the taco salad.....fresh, huge and wonderful and hubby trying the patty melt which was equally delicious. I did not love my experience at Louise's but I also did not hate it. We were sat at the bar as it was very busy Tuesday morning and that was the only available seating right away. There are not that many breakfast spots in the La Quinta area so I can see how it can get pretty populous but this place was overwhelmingly busy. The waitstaff is working overtime - they were running around the place looking like chickens with their heads cut off (not to be insulting to the staff) and I felt bad for them and also I felt as though no time was spent actually waiting on us. Since we sat at the bar, we could see them up close and "behind the scenes" to come to pick up orders and make the sides. The poor guys were working their butts off! I felt as though I was a burden on them as I was giving them more work which a customer should not feel. After I ordered, the food came out relatively quickly and I was satisfied. I wasn't overly impressed by the Jimmy's Special but I ate it happily. After eating, I put my card out over the table so that I could get out of my poor waitress' hair. Went there for lunch and ordered a pantry double burger, a cheese burger and chilly fries. Cheeseburger was not as ordered, pantry double burger was not as ordered. Hamburger meat is not seasoned, taste old and freezer burned. Onion tasted like it has been in walk for a while was translucent and tasted like freezer. Absolutely my most favorite breakfast place to eat at; the absolute best spot in the valley. Their meals are delicious, perfectly made. They don't cut serving to pocket more profit like other places; their portion size is huge. The seating is comfortable and decorated with framed photos of the development of the Coachella Valley. The servings are large at Louises Pantry. Good food. Liked the pancakes but didn't enjoy the apples straight from the tin. Its so easy to prep fresh caramelized apples. No need to pour a tin on top. Let me first start off by saying - the customer service here is AMAZING. Our waitress was so attentive and so nice. Their coffee had me WIRED & I love coffee that does that to me. The food was GREAT. I got the Country Breakfast which was biscuits and gravy with eggs & country potatoes. I asked for extra gravy because biscuits always tend to be dry & the waitress brought it to me in less than a minute. I can just imagine how busy this place would get and if I go back in a busier season and this place has a wait- I would wait because the portions are worth it and the food is so good. We were sat at the far back table next to the restrooms, the floor was disgusting, hasn't been vacuumed or cleaned in a LONG while, the table was also not clean an you could see visible hand marks, the wall had boogers on it which was absolutely disgusting our food came out in a timely manner, but wasn't very pleased with the quality. My toast was soggy an house potatoes tasted like burnt plastic! My sausage links were completely burnt an over cooked. Would definitely not recommend, hopefully with the new remolding it'll be a better experience, but I wouldn't waste my time or money going back. I was so extremely disappointed at our experience today at Louise's. Our "waiter" was so scrambled and seems unable to completely focus on customer service deliver cold food and never came back to our table to follow up. The table next to us also received the wrong order placed by the same server This WAS our regular go to breakfast spot however after our visit we will reconsider our choice going forward when I expressed our disappointment to our server he was rather rude. I was surprised and asked who was the owner OOPS that was him. YIKES. I've been vacationing in LaQuinta for years, and have driven right by this place, never even knowing that it was here. It is in a business park, that is comprised of Dr.s offices, and real estate offices. You can't see it from Washington, which is why I haven't been until now. We must have gotten lucky because we were seated with only about a 5 minute wait. When we left it was more like 45 minutes. Crazy busy. The service was excellent, perhaps a bit rushed, but that was understandably so, since they were trying to turn tables. I had the huevos rancheros, and they were super tasty. I usually order my eggs over easy, but the server was quick to caution me that their over easy had runny whites as well. Uh, no thank you. Over medium it is.
