Food here is always good but my grandmother went in to order food on 3/29 around 7:15 and the lady at the window was SOOOO RUDE. We have been here many times and never been treated with such poor service. I am truly disappointed my grandma is 70 years old and very respectful so for her to have been treated poorly breaks my heart. The lady seemed to only be rude to my grandmother as we witness her take the order of 2 other customer. Crazy that this is how to treat you treat customers that's have previously been eating here for years ! Unfortunately will not be retu

Stop taking our money if you're not going to provide us with FRESH CHICKEN! It's the fat girl with shoulder length hair that's always do it. You have to literally watch them package it, to make sure ALL the pieces are fresh

It's 9pm and it's locked up, but they close at 9:30...nahhh they trippin

I had one mission on a Friday night: to indulge in some finger-lickin', soul-soothing, Louisiana fried chicken. I had my heart set on it all week, and I even timed my arrival like a NASA launch--30 minutes before their posted closing time. I could practically taste that crispy goodness...until I pulled up and saw the place locked up tighter than Fort Knox. But wait, it gets better. The lights were still on, and inside, the staff were already doing the Chicken Dance with their brooms. I knocked on the door, gave a little wave, even tried the universal "I'm starving, please have mercy" face. Nothing. They ghosted me harder than my ex. I get it, it's Friday night, and you probably have some wild plans involving Netflix and a tub of ice cream, but come on! If the sign says you're open until 9:30 PM, I expect my chicken until 9:30 PM, not a minute less! I mean, what happened to Southern hospitality? Did it go out the door with the last drumstick? Long story short, if you're craving chicken late in the evening, maybe pack a backup snack or learn to cook, because this place might decide to peace out early. Management, please, for the love of fried chicken, fix this. We're hungry out here!

I've been wanting to find a place where I can get good chicken and some great fried rice. Well I've found it. Not to mention the delicious strawberry lemonade. Now let's be clear this place is not a sit down, order food, and hang out type place. It's simply come in order, grab your food, and then leave. Not really any pleasantries you both know why you are there so get our food and get. But the lack of anything else the food absolutely makes up for it. I had a good 20 minute drive from the restaurant and the food was still as hot if I ordered it and sat there to eat it. The chicken outside was fried perfectly, crispy, while juicy and not overdone on the inside. The wings did have a little kick but not too bad. It was noticeable for sure, but still good. The fried rice would of been better without the limited amount of chicken. I think I'm the entire side order I maybe got one piece of chicken. Yet it was still good and fresh it taste as if my entire order was made the second I ordered. The strawberry lemonade was the cherry on top of the Sunday. I'll admit the staff could of been nicer but with food this good you don't have to be nice. Haha It's worth the stop plus being reasonably priced.

Fries under cook fish dry as hell. What's going on

When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Today, I'm at O&WS. Since I prefer omelettes over waffles, I got…read morethe #3 Avocado, Bacon and Cheese Omelette and a cup of coffee. Pretty, pretty, pretty good. For the omelette, the hero was the avocado. The rich and creaminess texture from the avocado made the omelette that much more enjoyable. The toast was crunchy and buttery. The coffee was a nice medium roast. The home-fried potatoes were good. However, I prefer mine a little more crispier. Seating is available at the counter, booths and in the small patio area. Service was very friendly and prompt. There is a very small parking area. I opted to park in the residential area. TY for the owner's response. Definitely will be back to try a new meal. Kudos to the high commitment of the owner for customer satisfaction!

When we first came here, we met Mona, one of the owners, and she was fantastic. She was out on the floor, checking on guests, making sure everything was running smoothly, and her hospitality made our visit memorable. That's exactly why we kept coming back. My husband and I came in today and sat in the last booth on the far right side of the restaurant. It wasn't very busy, so I expected decent service, but that wasn't the case. Our waitress never introduced herself, avoided making eye contact, and didn't seem very attentive. We both ordered the marinated steak bites and eggs. My husband's order came out correctly, but mine was served with a sirloin steak instead of the marinated steak bites--and yes, there is a difference. The steak was rubbery and difficult to eat. It honestly felt more like a frozen TV dinner than a freshly prepared meal. Throughout the meal, our waitress never came back to check on us, ask how the food was, or offer condiments or coffee creamer. I had to flag down the busboy for help. At this point, the busboys deserve recognition because they were far more attentive than our server. It also seems like the service is much better when the owners are there. I'm really disappointed with both the food and the service. To top it off, our bill came to $54, plus an additional card fee. It's disappointing because we know this restaurant is capable of providing a great experience--we've had one before. I hope management sees this review and takes it as an opportunity to improve because this restaurant has a lot of potential, but experiences like this make it difficult to want to return.

Plenty of parking on a Sunday morning. We were warmly welcomed in by the staff and given our choice to sit anywhere. They were moderately busy with customers dining in and outside. Whenever having breakfast somewhere new to me, I like to try a basic breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, and a starch. Since they offer homemade biscuts, decided to give that a try. Hubby chose the green chilaquiles plate and OJ. He said it was about 3.5 stars. My plate looked and tasted good however I was surprised that the 2 eggs appeared to be 1 egg. The server was OK with getting another egg. Overall, my plate was about 3.5 stars. The service is kind and welcoming. Their soundtrack is upbeat and ecclectic. They do offer lunch specials Monday through Friday from 12PM to 3PM which is their closing time. Breakfast/brunch is so competitive in the South Bay. There is a place in Torrance that the hubby and I frequent regularly and they set the bar high. (You can probably guess what place that is from my regularly posted photos from there.) Overall, the Nook is 3.5 stars from us rounded up to 4.

We all ordered different Skillets, Instead of writing about each one, I will say that all five of us were satisfied and thought they were all good. The Nook has what you like. I will point out that the skillets are not black cast iron; they come in white porcelain, shaped like a skillet but looking more like a plate. We did order Strawberry pancakes, which we shared. Service from the waitress was lacking, I believe it was the b owner he came several times to check on us. Nice place and will be back .

She was amazing. All 3 tables around us got their food before us. All 3 tables had to send back their food because it was either wrong or incorrect. Place looks well staffed but everyone seems miserable aside from the woman outside. Our food was also wrong. Out of 4 dishes 2 of them were wrong. If you order anything sweet, food or drink, expect heavy amounts of syrup. Not homemade syrups. Maybe hersheys or maybe wal mart brand. Not sure. Very synthetic. Hey at least the food looks great. The ambiance is great. The service is bad. The wait time is even worse. Waiting for a table is understandable. Waiting an hour for your food after being seated is not. Does not help when the server is rolling her eyes the whole time, and with an angry face the entire time. She was like that when we walked in so i know it wasnt us. The roast beef hash is a stand out dish. Served with hash browns thank you. It's very meaty flavorful, not canned. Texas omelette is their chili omelette. Long winded. I've been craving a chili omelette and could not find a decent one I can eat. I have some limitations. Can't eat bell peppers or egg yolk, shouldn't eat cheese, canned chili messes up my stomach. One place, does it have bell peppers, no, ok, egg whites and no cheese. It arrives with no cheese topping but cheese inside, can't eat it, dumbaxxes. THEIRS HERE, outstanding. Turkey anything has real turkey, not lunchmeat. Onion rings are the beer batter type and very good. It's stupidly difficult to find good ones, they're here. Minor details matter. The little bowl of salsa is extremely good. I prefer the watery type like this over the thick kind. Pepper, most of the time I end up removing the cap because it barely comes out, not here. Parking very easy with their own large lot with a nice garden in the rear. Service outstanding every time, even the buss boy is on top of getting your beverage of choice quickly and keeping it topped off. It's been several years, they really turned it around. Any nitpicky issues are so minor they're not worth mentioning. There's a new king of cafe / coffee shop type of restaurant in the South Bay.

I'm still on my quest for the ultimate tuna melt, so decided to give theirs a try. It was delicious; the tuna mix was likely the tastiest I've found in my travels so far. I got there around little after noon, and only had a five minute wait myself. (Apparently, they were open late once upon a time, but important to keep in-mind they close at 3p these days.) When I visited, there were easily 5 other groups and individuals studying here. I have a big soft spot for banana flavored items. A BIG SOFT SPOT. Banana Cream Pie Latte - this one carries the biggest punch for banana lovers. Banana cream the entire way from start to finish. Not too sweet. Awesome foam top too. I highly recommend drinking these without the straw. Foam top drinks are best appreciated when you get a nice 50:50 ratio of the foam and drink. Banana Matcha Latte - the name speaks for itself. It's a nice mixture of both. So if you're looking to feel a little healthier with the matcha element, then go for it. This was probably the prettiest drink of the 3 that we had. Americano - delicious and got the job done here. I naturally enjoy Ethiopian and Colombian beans. I brew them often at home. I was definitely wide awake after these drinks lol Strawberrynana Waffle - If you LOVE belgian-style waffles like me, then you'll find yourself ordering this again and again. It wasn't too sweet but sweet enough to easily go through 2 or 3 of these plates if you're crazy enough. Banana Walnut Honey Bread - the best for last! I really loved eating brick toast growing up. There were so many stores back in the day that sold them, and now I can't find them as easily. In fact, Caffe Bene is the only place in the South Bay that I know that sells them. This one brought me back to the past and put a gigantic smile on my face. Delicious, perfectly sweet, balanced, and finished wanting more. Highly recommend!
