Crab Cake Benedict and Classic Benedict
    Amy F.

This might be my new favorite breakfast spot! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Don't be fooled from how it looks outside but inside is super cute, clean, and I love the wrap around bar seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Although this place is small they've got table turning over quick.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]First off, I noticed the silverware they placed down was warm which means it's freshly sanitized/washed. And the tables didn't have that sticky feel to them. Everything felt properly cleaned.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was phenomenal! I tried the Benedict duo, the classic and the crab cake. The classic was very good, it comes with a thick piece of ham. The crab cake was massive and so flavorful. I could've just eaten a plate of those. The hollandaise sauce was good as well. Can't forget about the potatoes either. I usually skip out on the house made potatoes and opt for hash browns but this time I was glad I changed my mind. Those potatoes were cooked to perfection, crispy yet soft, and loaded with flavor. I also tried my friends blueberry coffee cake and OH MY GOSH! Best thing I've ever had! The most warm moist and delicious tasting piece of cake. I would come back just for that! Overall service was great too and I can't wait to come back and bring more friends or family with me!

    Chicken Country Fried Steak Breakfast

This is my second time coming to Lou's, this time we came after an ER visit and were in a hurry to eat and get my son back on time for practice. I ordered the California burger and fries and he had the breakfast chicken fried steak and eggs with the Loud coffee cake. Service was good and fast. We got our meal quickly and packed up the coffee cake for later. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was late morning and not very busy, but overall a great second experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Homemade Biscuits and Gravy (just one as a side option for the Kentucky Farmhouse Scramble)
    Charlotte P.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I love good classic coffee shops and diners, it's hard out there but you can look to Lou's for some feel good classics.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the Kentucky Farmhouse scramble and opted for a single biscuit and gravy to go with it. The dish is sausage links, ham, and roasted red bell peppers scrambled with eggs served over country potatoes and topped with cheddar-jack cheese and sour cream. The cheddar-jack adds a lot of richness to the dish and compliments the seasonings of the potatoes and herbs in the sausage. The portion was good and the service was really fast. They have a lot of customization options too so if you wanted this on top of hashbrowns, or fries you can sub those out. For a little more you can sub cottage cheese, fresh fruit, sliced tomatoes, or a side salad (according to DoorDash which is where I ordered from). For a side it comes with toast (white, wheat, sourdough, rye), English muffin, corn or flour tortillas, biscuit or biscuit & gravy. For a little more you can sub a pancake or coffee cake! I also got their coffee which was a good standard brew. Not burnt which is nice. I had asked for cream & sugar and I'm not sure if it was my driver who grabbed all of it for me or the restaurant that packed it but either way; they have French vanilla creamer and regular creamer; I was given 3 or each, as well as organic raw sugar an Splenda. So my overall impression of this quaint American staple is positive and I think I'll be enjoying more in the future.

Mmm mmm brunch delight! Lou's hit all the right spots, from food to coffee to service! My friend and I split a crab cake Benedict and an eggs scramble with loads of veggies. Both were made perfectly. I appreciated the coffee cake as a side and not just the typical selection of bread! And the coffee was REAL coffee, and I love the unlimited free refills of a coffee shop! Service was prompt and courteous. We sat for a long time so we could catch up, and our server was so nice, so we tipped her generously. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is more of a mom and pop place. It's not your fancy schmancy (aka stuffy) Los Gatos cafe[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Your tummy will leave happy! Can't wait to go back!

Lou's Duo Benedict. Veggie Benedict on the left, Classic Benedict on the right. Delicious Hollandaise sauce, and perfect hash browns!

Even though I said I wouldn't be back 10 years ago, I decided to give this place another try, and I'm sure glad that I did! I came on a Tuesday by myself versus on the weekend, and that made all the difference. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lou's is a very small place, so try to go during the week if you can, like on a Monday or Tuesday, to avoid the crowds and the wait, and to get better service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My server Natalie M was such a sweetheart, and the food was delicious! I ordered the Lou's Duo Benedict, with the Classic Benedict and the Veggie Benedict, minus the red bell peppers. Everything was so fresh and delicious! The Hollandaise sauce is so good, it tastes homemade. Much better than at most places. And the hashbrowns were delicious! Crispy on the outside, tender and creamy on the inside. Just perfect. Thank you for a great brunch, Lou's!

Placed an order online the night before. They open at 7:00 a.m. so I scheduled a 7:30 a.m. pick up. I got there at 7:20 and it was ready. The food was plentiful and good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seemed like a small, cozy, neighborhood staple.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Hot Links Scramble, I couldn't help but dig into this deliciousness! Perfection.

My nephew treated me to breakfast here, and boy, oh boy, it has become my go to breakfast spot. Lou's is definitely a gem of a restaurant. The food is not basic by any means, and the portions are generous. Delicious is the standard here. It is a bright, friendly restaurant, even the other patrons are friendly too. Heads up, there is parking behind the building, and it is a popular spot, but so worth the he visit.

We visited Lou's Coffee Shop on a Sunday morning. There was a wait, which we expected, but the host kept calling the wrong names and ended up seating people who arrived after us -- a bit frustrating. Once we were seated, though, our waitress was amazing and really made the experience better. Food-wise: The California Eggs Benedict was definitely the highlight -- delicious! The coffee cake was a disappointment; it tasted like the inside of a microwave. The breakfast enchiladas were just okay -- very tart and not something I'd order again. The fresh-squeezed orange juice was a bit sour but still decent, though the portion size was pretty small. Overall, I'd go back, but I'd skip the breakfast enchiladas and coffee cake next time.

Breakfast with past and present Firefighters of Los Gatos!
    Tony A.

We had a group of retired and a few current Firefighters from Los Gatos Fire Station meet here for breakfast. A few days prior, I advised the Restaurant and they were nice enough to "reserve" our table of 14. The guys really enjoyed the food and service. We have met here before, but this was probably our largest group. We can't thank the servers and the cooks enough for making this such a memorable time for us!

    Chicken Apple Sausage omelette

Had a wonderful experience at Lou's Coffee Shop. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small and quaint restaurant with tables and counter seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the chicken apple sausage omelet, and it was absolutely delicious -- topped with sliced avocado, served with crispy hash browns, and a side of coffee cake that honestly could have been dessert all by itself. Everything was so good. The staff were warm, friendly, and treated our group like family, which made the whole experience even better. I'm already looking forward to coming back for another delicious meal.

Parking looks like there's not enough, but they have a lot of space in the back. Located right off of the street, so you have to pay attention or you'll pass it. Other small businesses located in the same plaza, Lou's is the only restaurant. They have a nice amount of seating inside, a few seating right outside when you walk into the restaurant. Seems like a family establishment, everyone you come in contact with is super friendly & very helpful, food is yummy & pricing is good for the food & amount. Will definitely be back to try other goodies on the menu.

    Marissa C.

One of my favorite spots in the bay for breakfast! The space is very small inside and tables are too close together so I recommend sitting outside. Our waiter has always been super nice and attentive. The food comes out pretty quick even on their busy days. I always get their crab cake benedict and their *chef's kiss*. It's so flavorful and portions are huge. My bf's go-to is their steak & eggs. Def worth your money. Food: 10/10 Service: 9/10

Hey there Party People…read more I had heard of this place from friends so I decided to try it. I confused this place with another restaurant when I did my first review. So I want to set the record straight because Los Gatos Cafe was a really good experience. It's a small place but there are outside tables as well. You can order lunch at any time as well as breakfast. We started with Banana Chocolate Chip pancakes. Holy smokes they were the bomb. They had a ton of fresh bananas inside as well as a nice amount of chocolate chips on top. I had the Hot Turkey and Pear sandwich. I know the combo sounds weird but it was super tasty. The pear added crunch and sweetness to the sandwich. There was also a good dose of grilled onions to go with the owie gooey cheese....yum. Hubby had the Granite Flank Steak Sandwich . It was smothered in Gorgonzola cheese with a good portion of Flank Steak. The steak was tender and well seasoned. It was the perfect flavor bite. So going to add this place to the frequent flier list. Be kind to one another

I think you know what this is by now, so no need to repeat the ingredients. Got this with a salad and sandwich deal. Ironically, the employees speak Russian among themselves. We always order in English, but the service immediately became cold and unfriendly. The café is dirty, the tables are greasy, the seat cushions are stained, and I had to wipe my own table while the staff stood around watching. When I asked why the tables weren't being cleaned, I was given a sour look, as if it were my responsibility. The cakes taste old and stale. I genuinely don't understand why the owner allows her staff to treat customers this way simply because of the language they speak. Personal opinions or biases have no place in customer service.

The place is very unique and can be easily found. Inside the restaurant, there is plenty of seating. The menu we got was printed on newspaper which I thought was a really cool touch. Tastes: - Pho Poutine: Was not expecting this to be as good as it was. Straight up taste like pho with some fries and gravy. Super delicious and was a favorite for all of us. - Ooo Bae Pancakes: Ube pancakes. Nice and fluffy and super flavorful. It was a lot lighter than we thought but it was really good. - Noods Please: Garlic noodles. A solid option but wasn't as great as the other items in my opinion. I ordered an original soufflé pancake, and a latte to drink while waiting for the pancake. The latte was only okay, but was good to have something to drink while waiting since it takes so long. The pancakes were pretty yummy. Not as good as other soufflé pancakes I've had, but good. The whipped cream that came along with it was also good, but not amazing. I do wish there was some sort of syrup served alongside it. I wasn't a huge fan of the plate arrangement, maybe a little too cutesy for me? Service is not really interactive or personal. They take your order at the counter, and you go pick it up when it's ready. Overall, this cafe was only okay for me. This is one of those instances where I'll reiterate that my rating is likely because of my personal preferences! If you like a cutesy cafe, and looking for soufflé pancakes, I'd recommend!

Parking was plentiful and easy. Fluffy Japanese Pancakes take about 20 minutes and they put a sign up and told me too. The match pancakes were delicious! Ambiance was nice, with simple decorations, a wall of cosplay corner, some board games for you to borrow to play, and plain wall colors.
