I really like this place and the people who run it! It's one of the only places that uses actual Thai eggplants in their curry dishes. I wish they had some more menu options but I think they have been slowly adding things. The ladies who work here are really sweet. I'm putting 4 stars because I think that recently the recipes have changed and have become a little more health-conscious rather than flavorful. My most recent order was green curry and the eggplant and squash were kind of undercooked so they were harder and more bitter. But that's the only issue I've ever had. Been dining at the Lexington town center restaurants for years and in spite of the food bring great, the center was missing a restaurant that was more modern, quirky, classy and served good food at the same time; and so when Love at First Bite opened, it was a breath of fresh restaurant. The old thai place was one of our fav and had a pretty traditional menu, so we were intrigued to try the food here. The service was great throughout and the decor was definitely more bright and cheerful. Husband had the Thai Iced Tea and even though the flavor was great, the popsicle served on the top did not have a good use for us. The drink could easily do without it. The sweet chili wings are delicious and a must order. We also ordered their special of Bang Bang Cauliflower(not sure if this was the name). It was battered fried cauliflower that had absolutely no seasoning. The cauliflower pieces were too big and most of the pieces were not even crispy. I had to request a side of peanut sauce to make it edible. For the main, we shared Spicy Pad Thai with a side of Chicken Katsu. The Pad Thai was delicious and it was more sweet than spicy, but had a good flavor. The Chicken Katsu was tasty but a little bland with no salt at all. So all in all, some hits, some misses. Might have to go there again and try some other dishes. For now I give it 3.5 stars. read more

Being a local business, we gave it a shot for the second time and were more disappointed than the first time. I am really surprised by the rave reviews because the food was very oily and not authentic tasting at all. Drunken noodles were ordered at spice level 2 (BTW how does one make sense of 7 spice levels?) and were literally sugary sweet. Basil fried rice on the other hand was ordered with spice level 1 and was quite hot (the way we expected it to be). In general the food was quite salty and got saltier as it cooled down. I think we won't be back again. The Chai Yen place in Watertown, albeit far, will remain our preferred Thai place for a bit. Having had tried Thai in other cities, really disappointed by the choices Boston area has on offer. read more

My first meal there with the family about a year or so ago was great. We had pad thai, chicken satays, and curry and it was all delicious. Recently, they've gone downhill. In our last meal, the sticky rice that came out in a bamboo casing was rock hard as though they'd microwaved frozen and pre-prepared rice. The curry was cold and the meat was tough. The pork that we received was fatty and impossible to eat. The worst part was the drunken noodles that were hard and cold and wouldn't come apart. We ate about a quarter of the dish before we gave up because it was inedible. I can't believe I paid so much for such a mediocre meal. read more

Pad Thai was amazing, service left a lot to be desired. They took forever to help us. Asked for menu they said to use QR code ... And a white couple came in and they were immediately offered menus and helped before us (* we are a black family) I was so disappointed. This was my first time trying Love at first Bite Thai food and Bar. I live in the Lowell area and the Thai food there isn't so great. I decided to travel outside my surrounding area and try this Thai place that my friend was raving about. I'm so glad that I went today to give it a try. The inside decor was fun and creative. The staff and customer service was very exceptional. The food tasted amazing. Very fresh and hot. The plating was beautiful. My favorite were the drinks. They had cool looking drinks alcohol and non alcohol. Aside from the food the restroom was very clean and smelt nice. I was astonished because who doesn't love a clean restroom. What a wonderful place-highly recommended! My husband and I wandered around Lexington and found this gem for a date night. The ambience is great, the service is wonderful and the food is absolutely delicious! We decided to try the Thai iced tea POP, which was fun to drink! The Saigon fried rice was flavorful. We also tried the grilled pork with sticky rice and the pork was so tender. We have already planned to come back! Just word of advice, prepare to wait if you come at peak dinner time. Adding Love at First Bite to my favorite Thai restaurant in the area. It has a diverse selection of dishes, ranging from the classics to the signatures that I have never had in other Thai restaurants before. To start, my hubby and I tried their "Kra Tong Thong," which is a pastry cup filled with chicken, carrots, and peas served on an individual, beautifully shaped Thai spoon. For entreé, we opted in for the "Taro rice" and "Spicy pad thai", which both were delicious. The taro rice had taros, mushrooms and sausages on it with some tasty sauce on top - quite filling for a one-person meal. The spicy pad thai was perfect: not too wet, not greasy, yet still had the spices that would kick your tastebuds. Note: this restaurant is on a pricier side, so don't be alarmed with a $15 pad thai on a relatively small plate. I would definitely come back to check out their other dishes! I would say this place has a vefancy way of presenting food; very impressive. For example: The rice was served in a half coconut shell instead of a bowl. The food here is very unique and is very different than other Thai places in the Boston City. Food: If you like coconut, then I would recommend not missing on the Tom Kha kai soup; it is delicious. Tom Yom soup is also very nice and is much different than conventional Tom Yom soup. In entree, Avacado curry, Tamarind Tofu, Jay Mee Sua, and Evil Tofu and soy nugget are very good. If you have a sweet palette then Tarmarind Tofu is something that I would recommend. Their Soy Nugget is very soft and delightful. The service was super too. We were in a rush and I did not open the summer roll description if I had, I definitely wouldn't have ordered it and unfortunately it was just as described shredded iceberg, lettuce, a few strands of cabbage, and nothing else. I have been here twice for lunch and there are many reasons one should go here. I look at the speed of service when I go somewhere for lunch. I am usually in a rush and I want things to come out quickly. They are super efficient with time and they are not messing around. The lunch portions are judicious in size too. Not too small but large enough to take a tiny doggie bag home. I have had the Indonesian fried rice, pineapple fried rice and spicy beef lunch entree. Lastly, their Thai iced teas are just wow! After many months Lemon Grass has been transformed into Love @ First Bite. When you walk in you immediately notice the aesthetics of the space. So much thought and detail have been put into this place so within 30 seconds of being inside you want to love it. Wallpaper, lighting, chandeliers, neon signage all make this space fun and exciting to be in. With that comes the food. The menu has changed but not to where it's too different, just elevated. You have a lunch menu and a main menu, both that feature Thai food that you love. We came on opening day for lunch and it was delicious. If you like Thai you will love the food. Everything tasted fresh and delicious and our party of 3 walked out very happy with our experience. A cute local Thai restaurant. We came here and wanted to try the Thai tea popsicle drink. Although there wasn't anything extraordinary, it was definitely an experience. For about $4.75, you get a big glass of Thai tea. The service felt a little bit rushed when we needed some time to look at the menu. Overall, the food came quickly. I wanted to see for myself if this place was as good or as bad as Yelpers say. Sometimes it's so difficult to determine when the range is from horrible to awesome for the same restaurant. The decor has a nice, fun vibe to it. The restaurant was also clean including the ladies room. It was pretty packed around noon with only a few tables left. Either a bunch of people took Friday off for a 4-day weekend or this is what the typical lunch crowd is like. The food was beautifully presented. I had the drunken noodles with tofu and my friend had the pineapple fried chicken with chicken. We both enjoyed our meals. I overheard the people seated to my left and to my right; they also said their food was good. Ultimately, this is not a place I would rush to but certainly my experience was not so awful that I would never go back. **Ladies: Please note, if you have to use the loo, make sure you do so before you gather your things to leave. The ladies room is large, clean and honestly very nicely decorated but they don't have a coat/purse hook at the door. If you are someone who doesn't want to throw your coat, handbag, etc on the floor or I don't know, hold all the crap you lugged in then I suggest you tinkle while you have someone watch your things (assuming you are dining with someone). read more

The food is generally good -- fresh and well prepared with nice presentation, including a mini orchid atop your drink or salad. Two reasons for the less than five-star rating: 1- The aloof demeanor of the staff.
