Meat egg and cheese on rosemary focaccia

I went to love lane kitchen alone on a Friday morning. It was busy but I was able to be sat right away. Really cute cafe it felt very homey. I wish I remembered the waitresses name but she was awesome, very prompt and kind. I got an iced coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Both were great, the rosemary focaccia was superb.

I have been trying to come here for years now. Remember, I live in Mineola and LLK is an 1+ drive for me. We met our friend who live just a short walk away on Love Lane. There is a very very calming comfortanble-warm atmosphere here. Just was just a lovely place to sit and spend some time. Again, This was a perfect spot to meet, catchup and do a slide of pie. Our very nice server asked what we wanted and to just fill time before dinner, we went with a coffee and some sweets. We definitely sat for a while whle catching up. We never felt like we needed to order more or we were here too long. I like the vibe here which is why you hear so many people speaking about this place. Looking forward to a return trip, ordering some food and just enjoying what the venue has to offer. KUDOs to the team at Love Lane Kitchen.

This is the most charming welcoming place. We stopped for lunch tho breakfast was still being served.Specials were on a chalkboard in the dining room where you were greeted by a friendly smile. 2 of us had the moth watering grilled chicken on homemade rosemary focaccia with pesto & fresh mozzarella. The bread was not overpowering with rosemary & had the best crunch. The chicken salad on focaccia with raisins, walnuts & and herb mayo was a hit!! Love Lane is located in Mattituck & worth a trip any time of year.

My wife and I came here to get some food to go on our way to the Cross Sound Ferry at Orient Point. When I found out the kitchen was being cleaned for the dinner shift and they would need 20 mins before they could make my food, I told them I didn't know what to do since I have my dogs in the car. They said we can have them with us on the patio (which is covered from the rain)! So we sat down and split the delicious burger and fries while the doggies laid at my feet. The staff even brought a pie plate with water for them. Highly recommend.

I can't say enough about Love Lane Kitchen. We have been here several times for breakfast, lunch and dinner and it never disappoints. Food is top quality and always scrumptious. The salads pictured here were both good to the last bite. We cleaned our plates completely. The ambiance is very cozy and servers are always warm and friendly. We always try to catch a meal at Love Lane Kitchen whenever we are in town- you should too as you won't be disappointed.

Ambiance (5/5): Their indoor section was bustling on the weekend. There are a couple countertop seats as well. There's a covered outdoor section where we sat since they were dog friendly! Service (5/5): The establishment was very busy with every table basically full by 10:30am. However, they were attentive throughout the whole dining experience. The staff were super warm and friendly. Hot drip coffee is self-serve! The specials for the day were written on a chalk board in the outdoor dining area. We opted to try their: Lemon Ricotta Pancake (5/5): So so so good! It was thin and had a forward taste of the lemon which I loved. It tasted great even without maple syrup.' Breakfast Bowl (4/5): I don't think there was anything to write home about but their poached eggs were great! I should have assumed that the bowl was going to consist mostly of potatoes.

Today my boyfriend and I drove through Mattituck and stumbled on Love Lane right off of the Main Street. Since it was lunch time - we were driving around trying to choose a place to eat and decided on Love Lane Kitchen, honestly very randomly. Right when you come in, you will notice that the place is filled with loads of corny but cute signs about love. There are couple of tables, a communal table in the middle and a bar you can sit at. The whole place had a very homely feeling to it. We were seated at the communal table since all the little tables were taken. We were serviced in a reasonable amount of time and were checked on often but not excessively. It is a small small space with lots of workers, so I imagine it wasn't hard to get someone's attention if you needed anything. Workers were pleasant and made small talk. The menu isn't very diverse in items, but definitely reasonably priced. We ended up spending less then $60 (before tip) for two meals and 3 drinks. I ordered the Goat Cheese Panini ($16) and my boyfriend decided to have Sliced Steak Sandwich ($22). My goodness my panini was delicious! It definitely qualifies as one of the best meals I had so far this year. The ingredients and bread chosen complimented each other very well. I definitely enjoyed it and would love to come back for seconds whenever I find myself in the area. As for my boyfriends steak sandwich - he gave it a 8/10. He told me the steak was cooked well and the sandwich tasted average. He is a hard man to please and an 8 is quite a high score from him. Overall I am very happy we decided to eat in this particular restaurant, and would love to be back soon.

Good little diner in Mattituck with quick service on weekends. Decent prices. Wait times can be 15-45 minutes or so. We chose to sit at the bar and were good right away. Ordered a stack of flapjacks, two sunny side up eggs on the side, and a Cuban sandwich with fries. Flapjacks were excellent. Syrup was a little thin so we ended up using a lot. Cuban was very good too. Not too dry or anything. Would get it again. Fries were alright Coffee was as you'd expect - average

    A cozy little place.

This places gets better every year. So many great choices on the specials menu, especially (but not only) for seafood fans. The blackened salmon sandwich is divine. Good price for great food and service always terrific.

Super cute and busy restaurant on the main street of Mattituck! Came here with some family on a Saturday afternoon and were quoted a 20-30 minute wait for a table for 6. Unfortunately, we did have to be seated on the patio because there was no table large enough inside and it was pretty hot outside. I would really love if they could add some fans to the outdoor seating area for next year! I ordered the Pretty Bitter ($7) mocktail which was aptly named. If you are a grapefruit lover, this is the perfect choice for you. I also ordered the Baja Fish Tacos ($18) which were very dry and had the texture of cardboard. While the mango salsa was delicious, there was not enough moisture to save the seared fish. I also got to try the Chicken Avocado Mango Salad ($19) which had a very sweet mango dressing and some pale (possible poached?) chicken breast. I think I would have liked some color or some grill marks on it. My favorite entrée that I tried ended up being the Goat Cheese Panini ($16) which was absolutely phenomenal. It was packed with grilled seasonal vegetables like zucchini and squash with a healthy schmear of goat cheese. This is something I would definitely order again and again. Some comments from around the table included: - "This chicken is really dry" in regards to the Chicken Guacamole and Bacon Panini ($19) - "The steak is a little overcooked but I love the parm fries" in regards to the Steak Frites ($22) Overall, it's a decent place in town for some brunch but I thought the food was solidly average. I will say however that the service is great and they provide a QR code on your bill so you can pay via phone.

With a band setting up behind us we settled in for a relaxing evening. Read a few reviews about the Windamere ( located above the marina) which made us pause but hunger outvoted hesitancy so we threw caution to the wind. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised. Even though we did not have a reservation we were warmly greeted and immediately seated on the outside patio area overlooking both the marina and band. Our server Victoria was outstanding, the epitome of excellent customer service skills; professional, friendly, engaging, menu knowledgeable and attentive. The food was very good starting with the baked clams and mussels. The baked salmon and seared tuna dishes were well seasoned, moist and flaky, the salmon served over rice and asparagus. Found the food good, slightly under portioned compared to other establishments but reasonably priced. During dinner we enjoyed listening to the band ( Radio Flashback) which we had seen previously. Overall a pleasant evening at Windamere enjoying some good food and drinks while listening to some great music. Although there is inside seating I'd recommend the outside patio area. Just a word ( or two) of caution the bar area overlooks the marina pool which can be a little noisy so if your eating would not recommend that patio area and just remember the lyrics to the song 867-530/Jenny you'll understand later .

While visiting North Fork wine country, we were told by one of the winery managers about Windamere…read moreas a nice place for lunch, particularly because of their Tuesday lobster roll special. The location is very nice, situated on a small marina - not the type of marina we are accustomed to on the South Shore, but certainly pleasant. Since it was a beautiful day, we chose to sit outside. We started with the fried calamari and baked clams, followed by the lobster rolls - one hot and one cold - so we could each try half of both. Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming. The baked clams were overcooked and very dense with bread and cheese, making it difficult to really taste the clams. The fried calamari were what I would describe as "extra crispy"--in reality, they were over-fried. The lobster rolls were just okay. They weren't bad, but they weren't particularly impressive either. At $20 each for the Tuesday special, they were probably worth the price, but not something we'd go out of our way to have again. The service, however, was the biggest disappointment. We waited a long time for our waitress to come over just to take our drink order, and then waited even longer for the drinks to arrive. At one point, we even had to ask the busboy where our waitress was. After we finished our appetizers, the dishes remained on the table throughout our lobster rolls. We had to ask several times for water and eventually had to request that the dishes be cleared. Where was our waitress? Absent for most of the meal. We ultimately had to ask for the check when she finally came over to clear the table. What made the experience even more noticeable was that the table next to us, with four women and a different server, appeared to receive excellent service. Their drinks and food were ordered and delivered efficiently throughout their meal. The setting is nice, and perhaps our experience was simply an off day. Unfortunately, between the disappointing appetizers, average lobster rolls, and especially the inattentive service, we will most likely choose another restaurant the next time we're visiting Long Island's wine country

Redemption! I always…read moretry to keep an open mind when visiting a restaurant, especially if it's new. Well, I'm happy to say this one has matured very well. Just walking in, we were warmly greeted, then quickly seated. This place is "picnic style", so you're given menus at your table, but order at the counter (I personally like that vibe). Anyway, we ordered their 1/4 pound, five-meat sampler (pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, a competition-style rib and a whole smoked sausage) and they converted me. Everything was nothing short of awesome. Both the pork and chicken were juicy and tender, the brisket this time around was smoked to succulent perfection and the rib was nothing short of excellent (not 'fall off the bone", but with that perfect competition "pull" that really won me over). The sausage I learned was locally sourced and a great compliment to the platter. Enough for two with small appetites to share. The sauce is still in small cups, but as I was told, there had been so much waste left on empty plates, that they had no choice to serve it that way, and I get that. Restaurants run on very thin margins these days. I had the spicy version again and really enjoyed it. Add in some live music played by a couple of good ole boys and since my first visit 9 months ago, this place has turned into a legit Long Island BBQ joint and will now be part of my usual rotation. I still think the hush puppies could have used a few seconds less in the fryer, but the flavor profile was spot on as was the corn fritters. But we left happy and full...I'm glad I was able to get back and try it again. Plenty of parking, all cards and a very laid back experience. Great for families or a stop by while cruising the north fork of Long Island. It's a gotta-go in my opinion. Nicely done!

Everything was delicious. The smoke flavor was just right and the meat was so tender. The service was friendly and that really makes a difference. After May of 2025 they will have a full bar. There is plenty of parking and a ramp if needed. There's a bar and an eating area. There's also an outside area that looks like it is pet friendly. This is a very nice place. I wish we lived closer.
